Attendance & Punctuality. Punctuality, regular attendance and adherence to a set schedule are important to the smooth operation of LOMAKATSI. If you are excessively absent, LOMAKATSI’s ability to perform work is affected and an unfair burden is placed on your co-workers. Therefore, unless your absence is permitted or excused by LOMAKATSI’s supervisory staff with the approval of your supervisor, you are responsible for being at work and arriving on time. If you are going to be absent or late, it is your responsibility to call your crew boss and supervisor as soon as possible, preferably in advance of lateness and no later than one hour after the start of the workday. If you are absent for several days, you must notify your crew boss and supervisor each day. An employee who is absent for reasons other than those permitted or excused by LOMAKATSI management, or who repeatedly fails to provide notice as required, will be subject to appropriate disciplinary action, up to and including discharge. o Example of permitted reasons: Contagious sickness, injury, family emergencies, health appointments, and other serious health concerns. Lomakatsi will consider any reasonable request by employee for a permitted absence. o Excessive absenteeism, even if for potentially “validated” reasons, can also lead to warning and termination.

Attendance & Punctuality. Whenever possible, time off should be scheduled in advance. Repeated unscheduled absences, even for legitimate reasons, will be subject to review and progressive discipline may be initiated. Employees are personally responsible for properly requesting time off from their immediate supervisor, or designee, in advance of the scheduled work shift whenever they will be absent, late, or need to leave early.
