Availability Allowance. 14.1 An employee on an after-hours’ roster shall be paid an availability allowance in accordance with Schedule 1. 14.2 The level of the allowance shall take into account the frequency of the call, the immediacy of the required response, the immediacy required for attendance at work, and the availability and experience of resident medical and dental officers.

Availability Allowance. An employee other than an employee to whom 1.11(b) relates, who is directed by the employer, as the case may be, to remain at home or within close telephone contact thereof and hold himself/herself in readiness to return to work without delay or within a reasonable time of being recalled or to monitor telephone calls and/or attend to after hours calls if required, shall be paid an allowance of 80.70 cents per hour, with a minimum payment of $10.13 per day.
Availability Allowance. 51.1 Subject to clause 51.2, any employee who is: (a) rostered for call out to work outside of the span of hours; or (b) not rostered for call out, but agrees upon request to be available for call out due to PWC’s particular operational requirements on a given day, will receive a daily allowance equivalent to 25.5% of the Band 2.3 weekly salary rate calculated at a daily rate (over seven days) as outlined in Schedule 2. 51.2 Clause 51.1 does not apply to employees in receipt of the call out component of the Extra Duty Allowance, or on an annualised salary arrangement. 51.3 An employee who is required to be available for call out on a public holiday is entitled to one days recreation leave credit, or in the case of an employee with an accrued recreation leave credit equal to or exceeding two years worth of recreation leave entitlements, one additional days ordinary pay.
Availability Allowance. Where an Employee is required to make themselves available to work a shift in the Day Stay Unit, and the roster is unable to specify set start and finish times for that shift at least 5 days in advance: the Employer will pay that Employee $32.00 per shift and $40.00 per shift on public holidays for any shifts that the Employee had been required to be available for work, but did not actually work, as the roster was not completed in time. This may include the time both before and after a shift where the rostered start and finish times were not finalised within the stated timeframe.
