Cafeteria Duty. Cafeteria duty will involve the assignment of one teacher at a time, and at the administration’s discretion may involve the assignment of two teachers at a time to supervise children in the cafeteria. The supervising teacher’s duties will include assisting any teacher assistants who are present as needed, and being visible and present in the cafeteria.
Cafeteria Duty. Cafeteria duty shall be assigned on a voluntary basis to the extent that this is possible. No teacher shall be involuntarily assigned cafeteria duty for more than two consecutive years. Every attempt shall be made to distribute this assignment equally among all teachers.
Cafeteria Duty. A professional staff member at the Middle School or the High School may be assigned cafeteria supervision duty for one (1) period during not more than one-half (1/2) of the school year.

Cafeteria Duty. The Board will pay for two (2) positions entitled "Lunchroom Supervisor" to be filled by certified teachers for each elementary and middle school. Also, the Board may, in its sole discretion, provide for lunchroom assistants to aid the Lunchroom Supervisor. These "Lunchroom Supervisor" positions will have a separate job description which will involve a daily forty (40) minute lunchroom duty in each elementary school and one lunch period in each middle school, supervision of the lunchroom operation, directing lunchroom assistants, and planning for the operation of the lunchroom. The positions will be posted, but, if no volunteers come forward, the administration will appoint the teacher(s) on the regular staff at each elementary and middle school. The position(s) will be filled in a manner as established by administration on a building-by-building basis.
Cafeteria Duty. If an employee voluntarily gives up his duty-free lunch, he shall be compensated at the rate of $10.00 per lunch period. Additionally, a bargaining unit member who accepts lunch duty shall receive one (1) compensatory day per semester, not to exceed two (2) compensatory days for the entire year.
Cafeteria Duty. Instructional Paraeducators are not required to perform cafeteria duty. Cafeteria duty shall be defined as responsibility for behavior of all students in the cafeteria for lunch during the relevant period. A Special Education Instructional Paraeducator may be required to monitor his/her specifically assigned student(s) during the student(s)’ lunch period.
Cafeteria Duty. Secondary Cafeteria duty for teachers shall be on a supervisory basis with the teacher expected to be present as in a regular assignment. Said cafeteria duty shall be assigned on a rotating and/or voluntary basis.
Cafeteria Duty. 174 Professional employees shall not be assigned cafeteria supervision unless by agreement 175 on the part of the professional employee. 176 D. Parent-Teacher Association/Home and School Organization 177 Professional employees are requested to attend all general meetings of any Parent- 178 Teacher Association or Home and School Organization that exists within the school(s) to which 179 they are assigned. In the event that a professional employee is not able to be in attendance at 180 such meetings, the employee must meet with the building principal to so inform him/her.
