Career-Technical Education Program. Both the District and the Building Trades agree that an active school to career program in the trades can be a benefit to many Berkeley students. The Building Trades and the District agree to collaborate in the development and implementation of a Construction Career Technical Education program. The Building Trades agree to support the District’s programs by doing the following: 1. Assisting the Green Academy by: a. Providing speakers at least twice a year, b. Escorting field trips to existing apprenticeship centers at least three times a year, per the school’s schedule, c. Mentoring students. Identify at least five individuals who will serve as mentors, d. Internships for students. The Unions will explore providing internships. The Unions will assist the program in identifying willing contractors and suppliers to provide additional internships. 2. Actively participate in the District’s CTE Advisory Committee which may meet as frequently as once per month.
Career-Technical Education Program. During the first year of this Agreement, the District and the Unions will meet to develop a plan for promoting and expanding career technical education in the District by identifying education and employment opportunities and career pathways in the construction industry for District students and graduates. 11.3.1 The District, the Unions, and the Contractors on District Projects shall support the development of educational partnerships and/or programs at District sites and/or within the District, including green/sustainable construction practices and technology. 11.3.2 The Unions agree to support the District’s Regional Occupation Program (“ROP”) through such efforts as providing classroom speakers, hosting field trips, mentoring students during the academic year, identifying contractors willing to provide student internships, and participating in career fairs at the District. 11.3.3 The Unions shall work with the District to pursue opportunities for students to enter the building trades through pre-apprenticeship and/or apprenticeship programs, including by participating in District-wide career fairs at the request of the District. 11.3.4 To the extent allowed by law, the applicable hiring hall procedures, and the applicable apprenticeship program, as long as they possess the requisite skills and qualifications, at least one first-period/first-stage apprentice on the Project shall be a District graduate or a graduate of the District’s ROP or other Career Technical Education program.

Noble Academy Cleveland has traditionally focused heavily on college preparedness and only recently began to focus on developing Career-Technical Education (CTE) pathways. We want to offer all students the opportunities to earn industry credentials, while prioritizing an engineering pathway as these credentials are critical gatekeepers for employment. These efforts align to our improvement plan strategies of expanding work-based opportunities for our students and provide programming that will increase the number of industry credentials earned. experiences will ensure high quality programming that will allow our students the ability to matriculate seamlessly to our area university programs. Course structure and delivery will be based on effective learning approaches and students will engage in real world experiences, internships and practicum opportunities that will encourage students to participate in our program. We will provide teacher development to expand the program and be prepared to provide supportive environments that will facilitate maximum learning experiences for our students. Our plan highlights the need to expand work-based opportunities for our students and provide programming that will equip them with an industry credential. Our strategic plan calls for the development of the CTE pathways, Engineering and Design and Programming and Software Development for 7th and 8th grade students. We developed our strategy by engaging a variety of stakeholders, including business owners, higher education representatives, local engineers, parents, students, teachers and staff who have all expressed support for our career and technical education development goals.   • Educational Program A. DSST PUBLIC SCHOOLS shall implement and maintain the following characteristics of its educational program in addition to those identified in the Network Contract at DSST XXXX MIDDLE SCHOOL (“the School” within Exhibit A-3).   • Special Education Teachers Elementary/Secondary Special Education Coordinators shall be compensated for an extended work day in the amount of four thousand dollars ($4,000).

  • Training Programs All employees shall successfully complete all necessary training prior to being assigned work (e.g., all employees will complete health and safety training prior to being assigned to task). Nothing in this Article or provision shall constitute a waiver of either party’s bargaining obligations or defenses. The Employer still has an obligation to notify and bargain changes in terms and conditions of employment with the exclusive representative.

  • Project Management Plan 3.2.1 Developer is responsible for all quality assurance and quality control activities necessary to manage the Work, including the Utility Adjustment Work. Developer shall undertake all aspects of quality assurance and quality control for the Project and Work in accordance with the approved Project Management Plan, Good Industry Practice and applicable Law. 3.2.2 Developer shall develop the Project Management Plan and its component parts, plans and other documentation in accordance with the requirements set forth in Section 1.5.2.5

  • Multi-year Planning Targets Schedule A may reflect an allocation for the first Funding Year of this Agreement as well as planning targets for up to two additional years, consistent with the term of this Agreement. In such an event, the HSP acknowledges that if it is provided with planning targets, these targets: a. are targets only, b. are provided solely for the purposes of planning, c. are subject to confirmation, and d. may be changed at the discretion of the Funder in consultation with the HSP. The HSP will proactively manage the risks associated with multi-year planning and the potential changes to the planning targets; and the Funder agrees that it will communicate any changes to the planning targets as soon as reasonably possible.
