Casual Occasional Teachers. Casual Occasional Teachers who have an Ontario Teaching Certificate or its equivalent shall be paid for each day of employment at the following rates:
Casual Occasional Teachers. The amount of instructional time assigned to a casual occasional teacher shall not exceed the maximum Instructional time normally assigned to a full-time teacher.
14.02 a) It is understood that a casual Occasional Teacher may be offered an assignment for less than a full day. Payment for an assignment of less than a full day, shall be pro-rated as per the pro-rating for a regular teacher teaching the same instructional time.
Casual Occasional Teachers who do not have a current Certificate of Qualification from the Ontario College of Teachers shall be paid for each day of employment at the rate of 75% of the rate established as per L13.1.0 above, which includes 4% vacation pay and 3% statutory holiday pay.
Casual Occasional Teachers. The Board shall pay the following rate to Casual Occasional Teachers in respect of each day of employment as an Occasional teacher with the Board the equivalent to that negotiated with the OECTA Elementary and Secondary Teachers at 97% of Teachers Grid Level 4 A1 0 years experience:
Casual Occasional Teachers who are assigned a full day shall have a lunch break of not less than forty (40) consecutive minutes.
Casual Occasional Teachers. (a) Each full time teacher covered by this agreement shall be paid the salary and allowances, which are applicable in respect of the teacher's qualifications, years of experience and/or any positions of responsibility held. (The applicable salary grids for the teachers are set out in Clauses 8.05 (a), (b), (c) and (d).
(b) Each part time teacher covered by this agreement shall be paid the salary and allowances, which are applicable in respect of the teacher's qualifications, years of experience and/or any position of responsibility held. However, the said salary and allowances shall be prorated in the same ratio as the part time employment bears to full time employment.
(c) Each occasional teacher employed by the Board shall be paid the salary and allowances which are applicable in respect of the teacher’s qualifications and years of experience. If the occasional teacher is also a part time teacher, the said salary and allowances shall be prorated in the same ratio as the part time employment bears to full time employment.
(d) Each casual occasional teacher shall be paid a daily rate equal to 1/194 at “0” level of the salary grid in Article 8.05 depending upon their QECO rating.

Casual Occasional Teachers. If Casual Occasional Teachers have accepted and received a job number to work on a day when the schools are closed to staff due to inclement weather, he/she will be paid for that day. If there is a second consecutive day or more of school closure for staff due to inclement weather the Casual Occasional Teacher will not be paid. An Occasional Teacher covering for an Itinerant Teacher or a Member who is assigned duties by the Board at two or more locations in the same day shall be paid a travel allowance for mileage between the schools, according to the Board’s mileage policy, as amended from time to time.

b) Each Occasional Teacher shall have a daily scheduled interval between classes for lunch break that is not less than forty (40) consecutive minutes free from regular, supervisory teaching or other assigned duties.
c) In the event of the early dismissal of students resulting from emergency conditions, an Occasional Teacher shall be paid for the remainder of the assignment.
Casual Occasional Teachers may have their assignment extended for the absence of the same Teacher in the same class for the following consecutive day(s) of said absence up to a maximum of five (5) days. The days exceeding the original absence shall not be pre-assignments.
Casual Occasional Teachers. (Degree and Non-Degree) Effective September 1, 2005,
