Chargeable Temporary Leaves. (a) Each certified employee who is under a full-time contract for a full school year shall be granted twelve (12) temporary leave days at the beginning of each school year on the first day the certified employee reports for professional services. Temporary leave days shall be prorated for any certified employee who is contracted for less than full time or who begins his/her employment after the beginning of the school year. (b) Unused temporary leave days shall be accumulated to a maximum of one hundred five (105) days. (c) Temporary leave days up to the maximum of days the certified employee has accumulated may be used for the following reasons except for paragraph (iii) which shall be limited to the number of days indicated: (i) Personal illness, injury, or incapacity, including illness or incapacity resulting from pregnancy, as well as scheduled visits to healthcare providers for well-care visits; (ii) Illness or injury of a relative of the certified employee; (iii) Personal business leave, subject to the limitations hereinafter set forth: 1. Certified employees in the first (1st) through fifth (5th) consecutive full years of employment with the District shall have up to a maximum of two (2) days per contract year. 2. Certified employees in the sixth (6th) through tenth (10th) consecutive full years of employment with the District may elect to use up to one (1) of their accrued Personal/Family Illness Leave days as an additional Personal Business Leave day. 3. Certified employees in the eleventh (11th) through fifteenth (15th) consecutive full years of employment with the District may elect to use up to two (2) of their accrued Personal/Family Illness Leave days as an additional Personal Business Leave day. 4. Certified employees in the sixteenth (16th) or greater consecutive full years of employment with the District may elect to use up to three (3) of their accrued Personal/Family Illness Leave days as an additional Personal Business Leave day. The initial two (2) chargeable Personal Leave Days must be used first. No payment will be made for additional Personal Leave days beyond the initial two

Chargeable Temporary Leaves. Each teacher under a full-time contract for a full professional year, shall be granted ten (10) days of temporary leave credit; days not used shall accumulate to the credit of the teacher up to a total of ninety (90) days. The temporary leave days accumulated may be used for: (1) Personal illness, injury, or incapacitation of the teacher or an immediate family member to a maximum of the number of days accumulated. • Immediate family shall include the employee’s father, mother, brother, sister, wife, husband, children and in-laws or persons whose residence is in the home of the employee • Temporary disability requires that on or before the end of the thirtieth (30th) calendar day from the beginning of any disability, and every thirty (30) days thereafter, the teacher and his/her physician shall furnish a statement verifying the teacher’s continued need for medical leave. • Temporary leave for maternity will be granted to teachers during the period of actual incapacitation from performing their duties. Pregnancy, childbirth, false pregnancy, termination of pregnancy and recovery shall be treated as any other temporary disability for job related purposes, including commencement, duration and extension of leave, payment of disability income, reinstatement and all other fringe benefits offered to employees by virtue of employment. (2) Funerals of those other than in the immediate family.

  • Temporary Leave Teachers who are members of UTW, at the request of UTW, shall be granted leave to participate in certain UTW activities subject to and in accordance with policies of the Board and administrative guidelines.

  • TEMPORARY LEAVES OF ABSENCE A. Teachers will be entitled to the following temporary leaves of absence with full pay each school year:

  • Temporary Policies Registry Operator shall comply with and implement all specifications or policies established by the Board on a temporary basis, if adopted by the Board by a vote of at least two-­‐thirds of its members, so long as the Board reasonably determines that such modifications or amendments are justified and that immediate temporary establishment of a specification or policy on the subject is necessary to maintain the stability or security of Registry Services or the DNS (“Temporary Policies”). 2.1. Such proposed specification or policy shall be as narrowly tailored as feasible to achieve those objectives. In establishing any Temporary Policy, the Board shall state the period of time for which the Temporary Policy is adopted and shall immediately implement the Consensus Policy development process set forth in ICANN’s Bylaws.

  • Temporary Military Leave An employee who is a member of the reserve corps of the Armed Forces of the United States or of the National Guard or of the Naval Militia shall be granted a Temporary Military Leave while engaged in military duty ordered for the purposes of military training, drills, encampment, naval cruises, special exercises or like activity as such member providing that the period of ordered duty does not exceed one hundred eighty (180) calendar days including time involved in going to and returning from such duty.

  • TEMPORARY LEAVE OF ABSENCE A. Members shall be entitled to the following temporary leaves of absence with full pay each school year. Such days of temporary leave must be taken as either one-half (1/2) or one (1) full working day. No personal leaves of absence shall be taken immediately prior to or immediately after holidays or vacations. Any exceptions must be requested in writing to the Superintendent or his designee and must have written approval. 1. Members are entitled to three (3) days personal leave annually subject to advance notice and approval secured from the Superintendent or designee. Personal leave means an activity that requires the member’s presence during the working day and is of such a nature that it cannot be attended to at a time when schools are not in session. Unused personal days shall be transferred to accumulated sick leave time on July 1st each year of this Agreement and all succeeding Agreements. 2. Up to five (5) working days at any one time shall be granted to members in the event of death of a member’s spouse, child, son-in- law, daughter-in-law, parent, father-in-law, mother-in-law, brother, sister, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, grandparent, or any person with whom the member has made his/her home, and any other member of the immediate household. 3. In the case of the death of a near relative, defined as first cousin, uncle, aunt, niece or nephew, there shall be no deduction from personal leave entitlement of up to three (3) days, subject to advance notice to and approval of the Superintendent. 4. A member shall also be granted a reasonable amount of bereavement time with full pay for the purpose of travel in cases where the funeral is out of state. Such time off is subject to the approval of the Assistant Superintendent to whom the member is reportable. 5. Any other leave of absence granted by the Board may be without pay. 6. No leave of absence with pay shall be granted due to the requirements of a second job. 7. Professional leave for such purposes as attending meetings, seminars and visiting other schools may be granted. 8. If a member is subpoenaed by a court of law to appear on behalf of the Board, such member shall do so without loss of pay.

  • Temporary Layoffs A. The Employer may initiate a temporary layoff for up to twelve (12) working days per fiscal year. Employees will be given thirty (30) days’ notice before the effective date of a temporary layoff. Employees may request alternative temporary layoff days from their manager or supervisor and any requests will be considered and approved or denied in writing. B. A temporary layoff will not affect an employee’s incremental movement, vacation and sick leave accrual rates, or seniority. C. A temporary layoff is leave without pay. An employee may not use any leave for a temporary layoff day(s).

  • Compliance with Consensus Policies and Temporary Policies Registry Operator shall comply with and implement all Consensus Policies and Temporary Policies found at <xxxx://xxx.xxxxx.xxx/general/consensus-­‐policies.htm>, as of the Effective Date and as may in the future be developed and adopted in accordance with the ICANN Bylaws, provided such future Consensus Polices and Temporary Policies are adopted in accordance with the procedure and relate to those topics and subject to those limitations set forth in Specification 1 attached hereto (“Specification 1”).

Data Escrow. Registry Operator shall comply with the registry data escrow procedures set forth in Specification 2 attached hereto (“Specification 2”).

  • Temporary Layoff The Employer may temporarily layoff an employee for up to ninety (90) days due to an unanticipated loss of funding, revenue shortfall, lack of work, shortage of material or equipment, or other unexpected or unusual reasons. An employee will normally receive seven (7) days notice of a temporary layoff.

  • Approved Leave of Absence With Pay During Vacation When an employee is qualified for bereavement leave, sick leave or any other approved leave with pay during her vacation period, there shall be no deduction from the vacation credits for such leave. In the case of sick leave, this section shall only apply when the period of illness or injury is in excess of two (2) days and a note from a physician may be required. The period of vacation so displaced shall be taken at a mutually agreed time. An employee intending to claim displaced vacation leave must advise the Employer and provide necessary documentation within seven (7) days of returning to work.
