Co-Curricular. Co-curricular payments shall be initiated by the building principal at the beginning of the activity as noted below and shall be paid by one of the following options:
Co-Curricular. 12.10.1 Except as contained in this Article, no supplemental contracts are covered by this Agreement and shall be issued, awarded, and paid as directed by the Board. 12.10.2 Certain activities are co-curricular and shall be assigned with additional compensation paid as a percentage of the base salary for that current year. Co-Curricular. A. An employee requesting a change in an existing or a new co-curricular responsibility shall submit a written request, using the proper “Request for Co-curricular Activity or Change” form, located on the District website, to their Association building representative and the building principal by January 15 of each year. A job description for the co-curricular responsibility shall be submitted with the “Request for Co-curricular Activity or Change” form. The Association building representative, certified employee, and the building principal or designee will meet by February 15 to discuss each stipend addition/change request. The Association building representative and building principal or designee will meet by February 15 to discuss any requests initiated by a building administrator. The building principal or designee will forward the “Request for Co-curricular Activity or Change” form and a recommendation for approval or disapproval to the Human Resources Department by March 1, who will forward it to the co-curricular joint committee. A co-curricular joint committee, composed of two representatives from the Association and two representatives from the Administration, will review all requests to determine if the stipend addition/change request will impact the existing equity relationship with other stipends within the same category (e.g. athletic, non-athletic, drama, music, etc.) by May 1. The co-curricular joint committee will bring approved proposals to the Board. The final determination of what co-curricular programs will be offered rests entirely on the Board. B. The co-curricular joint committee will meet once a year, no later than June 1, to review and assess participation and efficacy of co-curricular programs. The committee will make recommendations regarding any modification to co-curricular programs no later than July 1. During the 2022-2023 school year, the committee will explore the idea of an extended season pay or other potential compensation and put forth a recommendation by the end of the 2022-2023 school year. C. The co-curricular pay schedule is set forth in Appendix B. Co-curricular stipends will be paid out based on the following schedule: a. Fall Athletics/Activities ● 50% paid on the first payroll in September ● Final 50% paid on the last payroll of October b. Co-Curricular a. Teachers shall be paid at the per hour rate set forth in Schedule E for supervision of co-curricular activities such as student bus supervision before and/or after school, supervising sporting events, bus supervision on the way to and from extra-curricular activities, ticket- taking, supervising dances and after school detention duty. b. If a teacher is placed in a position where he/she is to supervise those persons listed in any of the categories mentioned in subsection “a” above, he/she shall be paid an additional stipend equal to 25% of the rate paid to the personnel he/she is supervising. c. Teachers shall be paid at the per hour rate set forth in Schedule E for Saturday School Detention.
Co-Curricular. A. Coaches/Advisors moving from one (1) level to another in the same sport/activity shall retain any years of experience that they have accumulated in that sport/activity for placement on the co-curricular schedule. B. Any readjustment of the co-curricular groupings shall be jointly worked out by administration and two (2) EEA representatives so that no one will receive any less than he/she would on current index system.
Co-Curricular. Payment for co-curricular services shall be paid in accordance with the options elected as indicated in Article 20 (B)(5) and shall be made on regular pay dates.

Co-Curricular. There will be a supplementary co-curricular employee contract for specified co-curricular and special assignments, which will not exceed one year. Supplemental contracts do not affect teaching seniority. Supplemental contracts will be paid according to Exhibit B in the month of May of each school year, upon completion of duties outlined within the contract and documentation of hours to be paid. Stipends will be based on a base of $38,000. The co- curricular salary schedule will have five (5) columns of experience with an increase of 4% between each column. See Exhibit B. Prior to the start of each school year, a list of the open co-curricular positions within the school will be published. Open summer school positions will be announced the week following Spring Break. In order to be considered for an open co-curricular position, interested certificated staff members must submit a letter of interest to their building principal/designee. Staff will be given a minimum of (5) days to apply. Positions will be filled within ten (10) days of closing date. Interviews will be conducted if interest is expressed by more than one staff member. Previous service performance may be considered for those staff members wishing to serve a subsequent term. Unless otherwise noted in this agreement, co-curricular positions are for one year. A list of the people filling the co-curricular positions will be posted by building. Two (2) hours will be paid for participation in building open house activities at the employee’s hourly per diem.
Co-Curricular a. For those co-curricular positions with percentages ranges: 1. The individual currently holding a co-curricular position within the district will be placed at a % equal to the minimum % for the position plus 1/2% for each completed year in that position. 2. The individual in that position will receive a 1/2% increase each subsequent year of sponsorship/coaching not to exceed the maximum % for that position. b. The co-curricular salary will be calculated as a percentage of the base salary on Appendix A. c. Any co-curricular sponsor/coach that moves to a new position within the same sport/event will retain years of district experience in that activity as though the coach/sponsor remained in the same position. d. When a person assigned to a co-curricular position resigns that position, the Board will make every effort to find a replacement. When a person assigned to a co-curricular position resigns that position two consecutive years, that person will be relieved of that co-curricular position. e. Any co-curricular position may be split between teachers with mutual agreement by the building principal and the teachers involved. f. The Board shall have the right to reward meritorious co-curricular supervisory activities with compensation which may exceed "Appendix C" minimums. g. In the event the Board decides to add a co-curricular position, the Board and the Association representatives shall mutually agree to the co-curricular salary. h. Appendix C determines the salary ranges for co-curricular positions, however, the Board reserves the right to determine whether or not the positions will be filled.
