Communication with Employees. The Association shall be allowed use of available bulletin board space as determined by the City Manager or designee. The bulletin board shall be used to notify employees of matters pertaining to official Association business and shall not contain any derogatory, defamatory, or inflammatory statements concerning the City or City personnel, nor any materials which could impair the operation of the City. Prior to posting any notice or material on the Association bulletin board, the Association shall provide one (1) copy of the notice or material to the Chief of Police.

Communication with Employees. Without limiting the generality of the provisions in Section 8.1.1, Purchaser shall not, through its officers, employees, managers, contractors, consultants, agents, representatives or any other Person (including, without limitation, Purchaser’s Inspectors), directly or indirectly, communicate with any Employees or any Person representing any Employees involving any matter with respect to the Property or the Business, the Employees or this Agreement, other than Xxxxxxx Xxxxxx, without Seller’s prior written consent, which consent may be withheld in Seller’s sole discretion, unless such communication is arranged by Seller.

Nothing in this Agreement will interfere with the Union's right to communicate with bargaining unit employees regarding conditions of employment in accordance with law, Agency regulation, and this Agreement. B. The Union, through the Council President (unless otherwise specified), may request to meet with a group of bargaining unit employees to discuss specific issues relating to conditions of employment by submitting a request to the Chief Human Capital Officer unless otherwise specified. The Agency may deny the request if there is reasonable cause to believe that such a meeting would significantly disrupt the Agency's ability to fulfill its mission. The Parties will mutually attempt to resolve scheduling of meetings to mitigate any disruption.
Communication with Employees. Any designated representative of the Union shall make arrangements with the Human Resources Manager or designee when there is a need to contact District employees in person during the duty period of the employees. Reasonable routine contact may be made during such duty period by phone, e-mail or internal mail distribution; however, solicitation for membership or other internal employee organization business shall be conducted only during the off-duty hours of all employees concerned, unless otherwise approved. Internal employee organization business includes political, union election and social matters.

Communication with Employees. A. New Employee Orientation Meetings This provision applies to all new employees hired into the Battalion Chief’s Unit and is intended to comply with the provisions of AB119. 1. The City will provide the Union with not less than ten (10) calendar days’ advance written notice of the time, date and location of all new employee orientation meetings, unless an urgent and unforeseeable need for a new employee orientation meeting precludes the City from providing the Union with ten (10) calendar days’ advance notice. Notice will be made by way of email to the Union President and Vice President. 2. The Union will be given up to thirty (30) minutes as part of the new employee orientation meetings to present Union membership information to new employees of the Fire Employees Unit. 3. The Union representatives who will present information at the new employee orientation meetings may do so while on duty and in uniform, provided the Union notifies the Fire Chief of the names of the employees who will be presenting information on behalf of the Union at the new employee orientation meeting with at least five (5) days advance notice and the Fire Chief has agreed that the employees’ participation will not create an unreasonable burden on operations. 4. The above provisions shall in no way impact or delay the hire of any employee.
