Credit for Education. The following types of salary credit will apply after receipt of the bachelor’s degree: 3.4.1 Upper division or graduate units. These units must be in an individual’s major or minor field, credential area, education administration, or be meaningfully related to the unit member’s present assignment as determined by the District. One salary credit shall be equal to one semester unit or one and one-half quarter units. 3.4.2 Lower division units. A maximum of six (6) salary credits may be earned through lower division college work in a unit member’s credential area. Lower division units may be taken at a two-year or community college. 3.4.3 In-service education units. A maximum of ten (10) salary credits may be earned through in-service activities.

Credit for Education. Employees on the regular salary schedule who qualify to be moved to a higher educational lane shall be moved to the appropriate step of the next lane. All courses to be applied toward advancement on the salary schedule shall be approved in advance by the Superintendent or his/her designee prior to the employee taking the course. Courses eligible for educational advancement on the salary schedule shall be limited to graduate level course within an approved course of study (i.e., Individual Career Development Plan/SMART Goal, district endorsed graduate courses, or advanced degree program). These graduate level courses should be within or pertinent to the employee’s teaching assignment. Undergraduate credit courses may be considered for course work leading to an endorsement. Courses relating to an employee’s Schedule D assignment may not be considered for lane advancement. Credit may be given for graduate courses outside an employee’s assigned teaching area for movement on the salary schedule at the sole discretion of the Superintendent or designee. Coursework and salary advancements approved prior to July 1, 2015, are not subject to this language and cannot be revoked. Teachers hired after July 1, 2015, will submit their additional credits for review prior to being issued a contract. Each employee who is eligible for advancement from one educational lane to another must have filed a “Notice of Intent to Move” by July 1 and suitable evidence of additional credit in the employee's teaching field or related areas with the Superintendent or designee on or before September 1 of each year. If the work has been completed but evidence is not available, an agreement can be made with the Superintendent or designee for the advancement. All approved graduate and undergraduate credits earned after a teacher’s Bachelor’s degree will be considered “additional credits.” These “additional credits” may be used for salary advancement on the BA lanes (i.e., BA+15, BA+30) and the MA lanes (i.e., MA+15, MA+30) or as part of an approved Master’s program. However, any “additional credits” used toward the completion of a Master’s degree program may not also be used for “additional credits” after the Master’s degree. An individual who has reached maximum advancement in the XX Xxxx at BA step 15 will not be allowed credit for any additional years of service at that step when moving to a higher education lane. Credit for Education. Teachers who are not on the MA+30 Track will advance a Track on the salary schedule by attaining the defined level of graduate credits or by earning and maintaining two valid HQT designations in the grade 5-8 core subject areas of Math, Science, Language Arts, & Social Studies, one of which must be in Math or Science. When a worker is MHRS certified by Santa Xxxxx County, a stipend of one hundred dollars ($100) per pay period will be paid to the worker if the certification is a requirement and/or will be utilized regularly for the position held. MHRS differential is available to part-time staff on a pro- rates basis. 2. When an worker is CADAC certified through the State of California or equivalent certification, a stipend of one hundred dollars ($100) per pay period will be paid to the worker if the certification is a requirement and/or will be utilized regularly for the position held.   • Union Education If the local union indicates to the Hospital that its members have approved a special assessment for union education in accordance with the CUPE constitution and local union by laws, the Hospital agrees to deduct this assessment. Such assessment will be paid on a quarterly basis into a trust fund established and administered by OCHU/CUPE for this purpose.

  • Special Education Special education services, related services, and accommodations for students who are eligible under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (Section 504), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), or any applicable provisions of state law, shall be provided in accordance with applicable state and federal law, this Agreement and Authorizer rules and policies. The Authorizer is the LEA for purposes of ensuring compliance with IDEA, Section 504, and all other federal and state laws and regulations concerning accommodation of and education of students with disabilities.

  • Continuing Education The Hospital and the Union recognize that continuing education is important for all employees and that they have shared interests and responsibilities in ensuring equitable access to it.

  • MORTGAGE LOAN ORIGINATOR EDUCATION 1. Prior to the submission of a new application for any new mortgage loan originator license or, as applicable, the filing of a petition for the reinstatement of an MLO Activity Endorsement in any Participating State as provided for in Section II, Paragraph 2 of this Order, the Respondent will be required to complete the following mortgage loan originator education requirements: a. Twenty hours of NMLS approved PE, which shall consist of 14 hours of federal law curriculum, three hours of ethics curriculum, and three hours of non-traditional mortgage lending curriculum. None of these 20 hours of PE may be state-specific curriculum; and b. Eight hours of CE, which shall consist of four hours of federal law curriculum, two hours of ethics curriculum, and two hours of non-traditional mortgage lending curriculum. None of these eight hours of CE may be state-specific curriculum. 2. Respondent may not take any of the PE or CE provided for in Paragraph 1 of this Section in an online self-study format (“OSS”). 3. For a period three years from the Effective Date of this Order, Respondent shall be required to complete any additional required PE and/or CE in a format other than OSS.

  • In-Service Education The parties recognize the value of in-service both to the employee and the Employer and shall encourage employees to participate in in-service. All employees scheduled by the Employer to attend in-service seminars shall receive regular wages.

  • Special Education Teachers Elementary/Secondary Special Education Coordinators shall be compensated for an extended work day in the amount of four thousand dollars ($4,000).

  • Board of Education If the unit member and the Association are not satisfied with the decision at Stage 2, the Grievance Committee will file an appeal in writing with the Board of Education within fifteen (15) school days after receiving the decision at Stage 2. The official grievance record maintained by the Superintendent of Schools shall be available for the use of the Board of Education.

  • Training and Education SECTION 1 – Law Enforcement Supervisors’ Training

  • Paid Education Leave The Company agrees to pay into a special fund effective January 1st, 2013 and each year thereafter, two thousand ($2,000.00) for the purpose of providing Paid Education Leave. Said Paid Education Leave will be for the purpose of upgrading the Dependent Contractor’s skills in all aspects of trade union functions.
