Distribution of Extra Hours. Extra hours shall be defined as all hours above an employee’s regularly scheduled hours. All extra hours must be approved by the supervisor prior to the extra hours being worked.

Distribution of Extra Hours. Extra hours shall be divided and rotated as equally as possible within the classification within the building, and among those Employees within that classification who regularly perform that work.
Distribution of Extra Hours. (i) Nurses, who are not working and deemed laid off, shall receive any extra tours from the Home they were originally laid off from, and shall advise their manager in writing, of their preference of other Home(s) of their choice. Once tours of less than five have been offered to part-time laid-off Nurses, the balance of tours deemed available by the manager shall be offered to any full-time laid-off Nurse in order of seniority and prior to casual Nurses receiving such hours.

Distribution of Extra Hours. Trip Time for Transportation Employees Licensed to drive commercial motor vehicles per student calendar for Transportation Division. a. The following procedures shall be followed for the purpose of assignment of extra hours/strip time for employees qualified to drive District vehicles in the District’s Transportation Department. b. Extra hours/trip time: Any and all hours worked beyond an employee’s regularly scheduled work day/week. Extra hours/trip time shall be inclusive of mandatory meetings and training. The calculation of extra hours/trip time shall be made beginning the first official work day for all transportation employees. c. All of the assignments discussed below shall be on a voluntary sign‐up basis. Thereafter, any eligible employee who signs‐up to receive extra hours/trip time shall be placed equal to the employee with the highest number of extra hour/strip time (effective as of the date of the employee sign‐up). d. Assignments shall be rotated based on seniority among those qualified employees who have signed‐up for extra hours/trip time. Rotation based on seniority shall occur for the first rotation only. Thereafter, employees shall be assigned extra hours/trip time based upon the principle that all extra hours/trip time shall be made as equitable as possible. There shall be no more than 15 hours variance amongst drivers for extra hours/trip time assignments. e. If two (2) employees have equal number of extra hours/trip time worked, they shall be assigned based on seniority. f. Employees are required to turn in extra hours/trip time for the work week, every Friday or Sunday if extra hours/trip time is scheduled for that weekend. Employees not complying with the above stated rule shall, after three (3) warnings, be dropped from the extra hours/trip time list for 30 calendar days. g. The District shall post by the 5th working dayworkday of each month a list updating the number of hours worked by individuals who have extra hours/trip time. Extra hours/trip time assignments shall be posted on Wednesday for the upcoming week (Monday to Sunday). h. Refusals of extra hours/trip time shall count as hours worked, provided that employees on jury duty who are assigned extra hours/trip time shall not have such hours/time count as hours worked. i. When a driver is assigned trips that require him/her to take chains, he/she will be paid an additional stipend of $2 (two) dollars an hour for the duration of that trip.

Whenever possible, regular drivers shall be used for extra hour driving if a person is fully qualified. Extra hours will be offered to regular drivers on the basis of seniority before they are offered to substitute drivers.
