District Directed Additional Days a. Four (4) days will be district directed and used specifically for staff in-service, including: • The equivalent to one (1) day for TPEP training • The equivalent to one (1) day for school safety training • The equivalent to one (1) or two (2) days for District/Building meetingsOther training as time permits and determined by the District Responsibility: This payment is in recognition of professional responsibilities outside the regular workday. Payment will be equivalent to 21 days in 2017-18 of the employee’s placement on the LEAP schedule. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:  in-service training  meetings related to TPEP evaluation (limited to 4, 30 minute meetings per year)  individual planning  preparation for instruction  reports  grading, student assessment  conferences/student led conferences  open houseend of the year check out activities  meetings during summer for parent requests for student placement Incentive: The District believes that experienced and well-trained teachers provide the greatest impact to increasing student achievement. In order to encourage certificated staff to remain Wahluke employees, the District will offer an incentive amount of $900 per year. This incentive amount will be paid each year that an M & X Xxxx has been approved by the voters. Related to District Directed Additional Days

  • Additional Days Where public holidays are declared or prescribed on days other than those set out in subclause 58.2 and subclause 58.3 above in Victoria or a locality thereof, those days will, as applicable, constitute additional holidays for the purpose of this Agreement.

  • Personal Days Employee shall be entitled to three (3) personal days annually, pro-rated for any partial year of employment, the unused portion of which shall accumulate as sick days.

  • Professional Days Upon prior written application to the College, an Employee may, be granted permission to attend, during time periods when the Employee is responsible for performing duties for the College, educational and professional activities without loss of pay.

  • Reasonable Additional Hours All hours worked over an average of 38 ordinary hours per week, will be deemed to be additional hours. All hours worked by permanent part-time employees beyond their specified number of hours will be treated as additional hours for the purpose of this subclause. From time to time, employees may be required to work a reasonable amount of additional hours. All additional hours worked will be paid in accordance with this Agreement. An employee may not be required to work additional hours in circumstances where the working of additional hours would result in the employee working hours which are unreasonable having regards to (refer to section 226 of the Act):

  • Furlough Days A furlough day is defined as a day during the fiscal year on which employees do not report to work and are not paid. Furloughs are designed to address temporary emergency financial circumstances that threaten the financial well- being of the institution. Therefore, the President, with approval of the Board of Trustees, may temporarily place all bargaining unit eligible employees on leave without pay status when the state does not fully fund the base operating grant in any particular fiscal year. The Board shall approve the duration and dates of the furlough, after notifying the Union of the State’s failure to fund the base operating grant necessitating the need for furlough days. Employees shall be given at least 30 days’ notice of a furlough. No more than 5 furlough days shall fall within the same pay period. If the Board implements more than 10 furlough days in a fiscal year, the College shall not implement a reduction in force for unit members during the same fiscal year. If after furlough days have been implemented, the College receives full funding of the State base operating grant in a particular fiscal year, unit members who had unpaid furlough days during that year and remain employed with the College shall be reimbursed for their lost earnings due to the unpaid furlough days.

  • Spread of Hours The ordinary hours of work prescribed in this agreement shall be between the hours of 6.00 am and 6.00 pm on any day or all of the days of the week, Monday to Friday. The spread of hours may be varied by mutual agreement between the parties to meet specific needs of the Company or employees.

  • Bereavement/Compassionate Leave 21.1 Employees (excluding casual employees) shall be entitled to a maximum of two days without loss of pay on each occasion and on production of satisfactory evidence of the death or near death in Australia of the employee’s partner, father, mother, brother, sister, child, stepchild or parents-in-law.

  • Emergency Days Up to two (2) emergency days during a school year for uncontrollable emergency situations, subject to the written approval of the Superintendent or his/her designee.

  • Bereavement Days In the case of bereavement of immediate family (as defined in article IX.G.1 below), employees will be given three (3) days that do not count against personal or sick leave. Additional bereavement days taken will be deducted from sick leave.
