Education Benefit. The School District will pay up to $200 per school year for each employee in benefit category X-0, X-0 or B-3 to take courses and workshops that are job- related and approved in advance by the Superintendent or his/her designee. Additional support for courses and workshops may be available on a limited basis, subject to the Superintendent’s approval.

Education Benefit. 25 All seniority employees shall have equal opportunity to participate in a training 26 educational benefit program developed by the Employer in accordance with the 27 following.
Education Benefit. 29.01 An employee covered by this Agreement shall be entitled to an educational expense reimburse- ment amount as follows: A. In the first (1st) year of usage, the employee is entitled up to Three Hundred Dollars ($300.00) in that school year for criminal justice related courses; B. If an employee takes advantage of the first (1st) year of educational expense reimburse- ment under this section, in the second (2nd) consecutive year, the employee shall be enti- tled up to Four Hundred Dollars ($400.00) in that school year for criminal justice related courses; C. If an employee takes advantage of the first (1st) and second (2nd) consecutive years of educational expense reimbursement under this section, in the third (3rd) consecutive year, the employee shall be entitled up to Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) in that school year for criminal justice related courses; and D. Under this section, all courses must be determined as criminal justice related by the Em- ployer prior to the approval of reimbursement for expenses. 29.02 To be eligible for this educational reimbursement employees shall: A. Have the Employer approve such course as criminal justice related; B. Be enrolled in an accredited institution of higher learning; C. Provide documentation of costs incurred, and; D. Receive a letter grade of "C" or better. Failure to comply with all segments of §28.02 of this Article shall be cause for the denial of the educa- tional reimbursement.
Education Benefit. The Education Benefit plan will be continued with the following modifications: · The number of employees eligible for assistance shall be thirty (30) per quarter, · The maximum reimbursement shall be Three Hundred and No/100 Dollars ($300.00) per class per quarter, and · The employee eligibility for this benefit will be an average of twenty- four (24) hours per week.
Education Benefit. 1. Each employee is eligible for the following Education Benefit Program" a. College Credits/Tuition Reimbursement: The Township will reimburse employees $25 per credit hour for credits earned at a recognized or accredited school. The cost of vocational training courses that are directly job related, will be fully reimbursed. Vocational training courses that are not job related, are subject to reimbursement at the rate of fifty (50%) percent of the cost of the course. All applications for vocational training courses must be submitted to the Director for review and approval.
Education Benefit. In the event an employee is killed during the performance of his/her job duties, the State shall pay the tuition of his/her dependent children who are accepted as students through the normal admissions process to attend the University of Maine System, the State Community College System, or the Maine Maritime Academy. Each dependent child shall be eligible for this benefit for five (5) years from his/her first admission date to either system or until the requirement for a degree has been met, whichever comes first.
Education Benefit. In the event a Loss of Life resulting from Injury is sustained by an Insured Employee and indemnity for such Loss becomes payable in accordance with the terms of this Employees Accidental Death or Dismemberment Insurance, the Insurer will pay the lesser of the following amounts for any Dependent Child who, on the date of or within three hundred and sixty five (365) days of the Insured Employee’s death, is enrolled as a full-time student in any Institution for Higher Learning: (a) five per cent (5%) of the Insured Employee's Specific Loss Accident Indemnity Benefit Amount or (b) five thousand dollars ($ 5,000) for each year (up to four (4) consecutive years) such child remains enrolled as a full-time student in an Institution for Higher Learning. The total maximum payable under this section in combination with the Education Benefit maximum provided under any other policy issued by the Insurer will not exceed five thousand dollars ($5,000) per year. The benefit will be paid each year immediately upon receipt of satisfactory proof that the Dependent Child is enrolled as a full-time student in an Institution for Higher Learning. In the event an Insured Employee's Dependent Child satisfies the requirements indicated above, such child will be deemed the Beneficiary with respect to the benefits payable under this provision. If none of the Insured Employee's Dependent Children satisfy the above requirements or the requirements as shown under Section C5.6 Day Care Benefit, the Insurer will pay to the Insured Employee's beneficiary the lesser of the following amounts: a) five per cent (5%) of the Insured Employee's Specific Loss Accident Indemnity Benefit Amount or b) two thousand and five hundred dollars ($ 2,500) under one (1) of the policies issued by the Insurer. The following definitions are applicable only to this benefit:

Education Benefit. If you suffer a loss of life in a covered accident while the policy is in force, ACE Insurance will pay, in addition to all benefits payable under this policy, a "Special Education Benefit" equal to of your Benefit amount, (subject to a maximum of per year), on behalf of any dependent child who, on the date of the accident, was enrolled as a time student in any institution of higher learning beyond the 12th or 13th grade level, or was at the 12th or 13th grade level and subsequently enrolls as a student in an institution of higher learning days following the date of the accident. The "special education benefit" is annually for a maximum of four consecutive annual payments but only if the dependent child continues education as a full-time student in an institution of higher learning.

The total maximum payable under this section in combination with the Education Benefit maximum provided under any other policy issued by the Insurer will not exceed $5,000 per year. The benefit will be paid each year immediately upon receipt of satisfactory proof that the Dependent Child is enrolled as a full-time student in an Institution for Higher Learning. Education Benefit. 33.1 The College and the Union hereby reaffirm their commitment to increased productiv- ity, upward career mobility and general employee development through educational and training opportunities. 33.2 The College will provide unlimited tuition waivers for credit and FTE generating courses to individuals employed .5 FTE or greater and their families (spouse and chil- dren). Individuals employed prior to January 1, 1997 who work less than .5 FTE will be eligible for tuition waivers for themselves and family members. Applications for tuition waivers must be made electronically to the Department of Human Resources. 33.3 In the event of limitation on class size, employees enrolled will be requested to be de registered. 33.4 Only employees hired by the College one (1) year or longer before the first day of the semester shall be eligible. 33.5 An employee will be allowed to take a course(s) during what would be their normal scheduled working hours provided that the employee, supervisor, department/ divi- sion head agree in advance on an arrangement for such change in schedule from the normal working hours and provided that the time missed is made up within two weeks as scheduled by the supervisor. The supervisor will forward the written ar- rangement to the appropriate department/division head who, in turn, will forward the arrangement to the Department of Human Resources. 33.6 Employees may use personal or vacation leave time to make up class or lab hours for non-job related education and training. Employees who attend supervisor-approved job related education and training conducted during work hours shall not require leave accrual usage or unpaid leave.
