EMPLOYEE NOTIFICATION OF ASSIGNMENTS. Employees shall be notified of their assignment for the following school term as to school, grade level, and/or subject area by the last day of the school term. If it is a different assignment than the employee currently has, the employee may request to meet with the administrator making the change. After the last day of the school term, said assignment may only be changed by the Administration if necessitated by an emergency. The term emergency may include, but is not limited to, a significant change in enrollment, or a vacancy created by death, disability, resignation, dismissal or the leave of absence of an employee. In the event of any emergency changes of assignments, the Employee affected shall be notified promptly.

EMPLOYEE NOTIFICATION OF ASSIGNMENTS. If an employee's assignment is changed, an employee shall be given written notice of his/her assignment for the forthcoming year not later than sixty (60) days preceding the first day of the new school term. In the event changes in such assignments are proposed, the employee affected shall be notified promptly and consulted. In no event shall changes in the employee's assignments be made later than thirty (30) days preceding the commencement of the next school term unless an emergency situation requires the same. In the event of such emergency, the employee shall be allowed to resign.

Certificated Employees - All presently employed certificated Employees shall be notified of their specific teaching assignments by June 1 in writing of the academic school year prior to the new assignment. All employed certificated Employees who are scheduled to move to different position/building shall be notified by May 21st. In case of emergency, assignments may be changed and certificated Employees shall be notified as soon as possible. In such cases, the affected certificated Employees shall be permitted to resign without penalty.

Employees who have applied for a vacancy shall receive a written notification from the Board whenever the Board has selected an applicant to fill the vacancy.
