EMS SUPERVISOR. Those employees designated by the Department as an EMS Supervisor will receive additional compensation in the amount of 8.5% of that employee’s regular hourly compensation during periods when they are actually assigned as EMS Supervisor.

EMS SUPERVISOR. Employees shall be permanently assigned as EMS Supervisor through the process identified in MP202.29 (8/16/18). EMS Supervisor is not a promotion, but an assignment. This assignment is not open for lateral transfer. Employees who are assigned to the EMS Supervisor position shall remain in that assignment until they receive a requested transfer to a different assignment within their classification or are removed by the Fire Chief, through the disciplinary process. In the event of a permanent vacancy for EMS Supervisor, it shall be filled by rank order at the beginning of the next 42-day cycle. In the event of a temporary vacancy (daily absences such as paid leave, injuries, etc) for EMS Supervisor, it shall be filled by utilizing a permanently assigned EMS Supervisor or one of three "Primary Backup" EMS Supervisors, or any eligible candidate on the EMS Supervisor list. The order for filling the temporary vacancy shall be outlined in MP 202.29 (8/16/18), which can be modified through mutual agreement at Labor/Management meetings as indicated in the policy. The three "Primary Backup" EMS Supervisors shall consist of the highest scoring Captain candidates on each shift or the highest scoring acting Captain candidate if there is no Captain candidate on that shift.

In the appointment process, the Chief will consider the employee’s leadership skill and ability, work ethic and knowledge of the job, among other things. The duties and responsibilities of the EMS supervisor are contained in a job description which has been jointly reviewed by the parties. The Chief in his absolute discretion at any time may relieve the EMS Supervisor from the duties as an EMS Supervisor and reassign the employee(s) to his previous bargaining unit position. The EMS Supervisor position is considered an administrative assignment and not a rank under this Agreement. The EMS Supervisor shall be compensated at the Fire Paramedic Rank at the appropriate rate of service, plus 7%, for all hours paid.

The hours, wages and terms and conditions of employees attached to this position, and agreed upon hereto by the parties, as well as the very existence of the position itself, shall be non-precedential. Either party is free to propose changes to such hours, wages and terms and conditions during the negotiations for a successor agreement, or to the existence of the position itself. Both parties waive any past practice and or status quo arguments and neither party shall bear the burden of the moving party in any interest arbitration proceedings that may include the issues of hours, wages and conditions of employment for the position of EMS Supervisor, or of the very existence or continuation of the position.
EMS SUPERVISOR a. The City and Union agree that the overall roles and responsibilities of the EMS Supervisor is to oversee the EMS division of the Fire Rescue Department and thus beyond the scope of a fire captain. The Union understands that they do not have any rights to bargain over the terms or conditions for this position. The City understands that certain components of this position are critical to the success of the EMS operations and will consider a recommendation from the Union regarding the schedule, roles and Responsibilities.

  • Supervisor Within ten (10) business days from the occurrence of the matter on which a complaint is based, or within ten (10) business days from his/her knowledge of such occurrence, an employee shall file a formal written grievance. Three copies of the departmental grievance form shall be completed by the employee stating the nature of the grievance and the remedy requested from his/her departmental Management. The employee shall submit two copies to his/her immediate supervisor and retain the third copy.

  • Immediate Supervisor The first (1st) District-designated supervisor or manager not within the same bargaining unit who has immediate jurisdiction over the grievant.

  • CONTRACTOR SUPERVISION Contractor shall provide competent supervision of personnel employed on the job Site, use of equipment, and quality of workmanship.

  • Level Two - Superintendent If the aggrieved person is not satisfied with the disposition of his/her grievance at Level One, or if no decision is reached within six (6) school days after the grievance was referred to the building principal or immediate supervisor, then within ten (10) school days a written grievance shall be referred to the Superintendent. A decision shall be rendered by the Superintendent within ten (10) school days after its presentation.

  • Board Supervision All of the functions undertaken by the Investment Manager hereunder shall at all times be subject to the direction of the Board of Directors, its executive committee, or any committee or officers of the Company acting under the authority of the Board of Directors.

  • SITE SUPERVISION 1.9.1 Contractor shall provide adequate supervision of his employees to ensure complete and satisfactory performance of all work in accordance with the terms of the contract. Contractor shall have a responsible supervisor on the job at all times when the work of the contract is being carried out. 1.9.2 Contractor's site supervisor shall be responsible for communication with the State's representatives and shall meet with the Project Manager at the site on a weekly basis to discuss project status, including any problems, ideas, or concerns related to the project work. 1.9.3 Contractor and its employees shall be subject to all applicable State and Federal statutes and regulations for the conduct of personnel. 1.9.4 The Contractor shall provide adequate supervision of his/her subcontractors and their employees at all times.

  • Labour Management Committee (a) Where the parties mutually agree that there are matters of mutual concern and interest that would be beneficial if discussed at a Labour Management Committee Meeting during the term of this Agreement, the following shall apply. (b) An equal number of representatives of each party as mutually agreed shall meet at a time and place mutually satisfactory. A request for a meeting hereunder will be made in writing prior to the date proposed and accompanied by an agenda of matters proposed to be discussed, which shall not include matters that are properly the subject of grievance or negotiations for the amendment or renewal of this agreement. Any representative(s) attending such meetings during their regularly scheduled hours of work shall not lose regular earnings as a result of such attendance. (c) It is agreed that the topic of a rehabilitation program for drug and alcohol abuse is an appropriate topic for the Labour-Management Committee. It is also agreed that the topic of the utilization of full-time and part-time staff is an appropriate topic for the Labour-Management Committee. The committee shall have access to work schedules and job postings upon request. (d) It is understood that joint meetings with other Labour-Management Committees in the Hospital may be scheduled concerning issues of mutual interest if satisfactory to all concerned. (e) Where two or more agreements exist between a Hospital and CUPE the Committee may be a joint one representing employees under both agreements, unless otherwise agreed.

  • Training Committee The parties to this Agreement may form a Training Committee. The Training Committee will be constituted by equal numbers of Employer nominees and ETU employee representatives and have a charter which clearly states its role and responsibilities. It shall monitor the clauses of this Agreement which relate to training and ensure all employees have equal access to training.

  • JOINT LABOUR MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE A Joint Labour Management Committee shall be established to attend to those matters which are of mutual interest. To ensure its effectiveness the Committee shall be separate and apart from the grievance procedure.

  • CONTRACTOR CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE Contractor shall designate a customer service representative (and inform Enterprise Services of the same) who shall be responsible for addressing Purchaser issues pertaining to this Master Contract.
