Appointment Process. 13.1.1 All CAS Members are appointed by the University, and in accordance with the provisions of Articles 7: Academic Freedom and 8: Non-Discrimination.
13.1.2 All appointments of CAS Members shall be for a contract to provide instruction in at least one university degree credit course or part thereof, in accordance with the definition of a course as set out in Article 2 of this Agreement and as approved by Senate and as set out in the University Calendar, Members may also accept supplementary letters of appointment for other assigned academic responsibilities as set out in 16.1.5 of this Agreement.
13.1.3 All Appointments of CAS Members are authorized by the Xxxx upon the recommendation of the Part-time Appointment Committee.
Appointment Process. (i) A list of employees who have Continuing Sessional Standing shall be produced by the Employer by October 1st of each year. Bargaining Unit Employees who are newly granted Continuing Sessional Standing will be advised of such by the Employer by October first of the academic year in which their Continuing Sessional Standing is granted.
(ii) On or before each November 1st, employees with Continuing Sessional Standing shall, for each applicable hiring unit, submit an updated curriculum vitae and provide notice of intent to participate in the Continuing Sessional Standing appointment exercise by filling out the appropriate section of the Blanket Application Form.
(iii) By no later than January 22nd, a list of all of the courses identified for Unit 2 posting for the upcoming Summer, Fall and Winter Terms as of this date will be posted electronically in a location accessible to employees and the Union
(iv) By no later than January 22nd, hiring units will offer employees who have provided notice of their intent to participate in the Continuing Sessional Standing Program courses from the posted list for which they are the most senior qualified the selected candidate from among employees participating in the Continuing Sessional Standing Program in the hiring unit according to the appointment processes in Articles 12.043.1 and 12.043.2.
(v) Offers of appointment will be copied to the other participating candidates in the hiring unit and all offers of appointment will be copied to the Union.
(vi) A three-week deadline will be provided for offers to be accepted, counted from January 22nd.
(vii) Articles 12.03.1 (Long-Service Override) and 12.03.2 (circumstances in which candidates have equal applicable prior experience) will apply and eEmployees participating in the Continuing Sessional Standing Program exercise may make use of the Article 6 grievance procedure in respect of any courses posted in the exercise that they were not offered but believe they should have been offered pursuant to the terms of the Continuing Sessional Standing Program.
(viii) Following the conclusion of the Continuing Sessional Standing Program exercise, assignments which were not accepted will be posted during the common posting periods, together with other assignments not included in the Continuing Sessional Standing Program exercise.
Appointment Process a) The Xxxxxxx, in consultation with the Xxxx, shall determine when a vacant position exists and the academic discipline and/or specialties of the position. The Xxxx shall determine the experience, qualifications and any professional credentials or designations required of the candidate and prepare a posting for the position. The posting shall include:
i. a description of the position to be filled;
ii. the qualifications required of a candidate;
iii. any special conditions of the position;
iv. a statement that the candidate will be expected to have skills in the integration of technology into Teaching and to model those skills in their own Teaching in UOIT’s web-centric and mobile learning environment;
v. a statement that the position is covered by this Agreement with a website reference to the Agreement and to the Association;
vi. the following equity statement: “UOIT is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applications from qualified women and men, including members of visible minorities, Indigenous peoples and persons with disabilities.”; and
vii. a statement that “All qualified applicants are encouraged to apply; however, Canadians and permanent residents will be given priority.”
b) The position shall be advertised, normally in University Affairs, the CAUT Bulletin and the University’s website. It may be advertised in other national and international journals and on listservs, websites and/or other venues appropriate to the discipline.
c) The Xxxx shall appoint an ad hoc search committee to conduct a search. The Xxxx shall chair the committee and shall appoint to the committee at least four (4) faculty members, no more than two (2) of whom are Academic Administrators. The committee will be resourced by a non-academic staff member and may have other faculty members appointed to it. In the event the appointment is to be shared by more than one Faculty, the Xxxx of each such Faculty shall appoint one (1) faculty member to the committee.
d) The search committee shall:
i. use the contacts and networks of its members to ensure that the best possible candidates are identified;
ii. advise the Xxxx on which candidates to interview. Normally at least three

b) Tenured, tenure-track, and teaching faculty positions shall be advertised, normally in University Affairs, the CAUT Bulletin and the University’s web site. Limited term faculty positions shall be posted on the University’s website. Positions may be advertised in other national and international journals and on list serves and web sites appropriate to the discipline such that the position comes to the attention of as many potential candidates as possible.
c) The Xxxx shall establish an ad hoc search committee to conduct a search. The Xxxx shall chair the committee and each committee shall consist of at least four

(i) For so long as the Company is listed on AIM and/or Euronext, each person proposed for appointment as a Director shall, as a condition to his or her appointment, be required to provide the NOMAD and/or the Euronext Advisor (as applicable) with such information and certifications as the NOMAD and/or the Euronext Advisor may reasonably require to enable them to satisfy themselves as to the suitability of such person to serve as a director of a company listed on AIM and/or Euronext.
(ii) Any nomination for appointment or reappointment of a Shareholder Representative by either Highbridge or Athyrium or their respective Affiliates, pursuant to Section 4(a)(v), shall be made by written notice to the Company. The Company shall, subject to prior compliance with Section 4(b)(i), within fifteen (15) Business Days after the date of the notice from Highbridge or Athyrium, ensure that the person so nominated is proposed for appointment or reappointment (as the case may be) as a Director, at a meeting of the Board by way of resolution of the Board or by a written resolution of the Directors and that such appointment is approved at the next meeting of the shareholders of the Company.
(iii) For a period of two (2) years from the Effective Date, the chief executive officer of the Company shall have the right to nominate for appointment, subject to the prior unanimous approval of the Current Shareholders, which approval shall not be unreasonably withheld, the chairman of the Board (the “Chairman”). The Chairman shall not be affiliated with the Company. Following the second anniversary of the Effective Date, the Chairman shall be appointed by a majority vote of the Directors.
Appointment Process. 2.01 A description of the appointment process as referred to in Article 9 shall be drawn up by each Department. This description will provide for the need to make emergency appointments, and for the need to change appointments by substituting or adding teaching assignments or other duties. This description will be posted in the Department and will be kept on file in the Xxxx’x Office with a copy to the Faculty Association. A copy of the description shall be given to an applicant who requests it.
2.02 New positions will be posted in Departments for at least two (2) weeks. A copy of all postings shall be sent to the Faculty Association. Vacancies or changes in existing appointments arising as the result of unforeseeable events do not have to be posted.
2.03 The principal duties of an appointee will be set out in writing, e.g., (1) course(s) to be taught; (2) coordination responsibilities; (3) lab responsibilities. If the appointment is part- time, the percentage of that appointment in relation to the duties of a full-time appointment will be clearly stated. Part-time percent shall be calculated as a percentage of full-time employment for the period of the Sessional Faculty Member’s appointment only, that is, not as a fraction of the whole winter session or the full year.
2.04 Any work required outside the period of appointment will be clearly stated in the appointment letter and remuneration for the work will be provided for. If the final exam is scheduled within three (3) days of the end of the appointment or outside the appointment period, an additional $250 shall be paid for marking.
2.05 A copy of this Agreement shall be supplied to the Sessional Faculty Member with the appointment letter.
2.06 Candidates for initial appointment at the rank of Sessional Lecturer are judged principally on qualifications, performance in teaching, and experience.
Appointment Process. 32.3.1 Nurse Educators are selected by a committee consisting of the Xxxx, or designate, the Chair, one (1) Tenured Member, and one (1) Nurse Educator. The final decision to appoint rests with the Xxxx.
Appointment Process. All academic staff appointments shall be made by the University after consideration of recommendations from the appropriate Xxxx. Such recommendations shall be made only after consultation in committee with the appropriate Department(s) or equivalent unit(s), or, other procedures as determined by the consultation in committee provided for in Article 5.
Appointment Process. The Independent Verifier shall be appointed through an open, transparent and competitive bidding process to be conducted by the Parties as follows:
(a) Within thirty (30) Days from the Effective Date, the Agency shall prepare the terms of reference and request for proposals for the selection of the Independent Verifier, and shall submit those documents to the Company for comment and approval, which approval shall not be unreasonably withheld.
(b) The Agency shall publish an open invitation for qualified persons to apply for eligibility and to submit bids.
(c) The Agency shall receive all proposals submitted by candidates for appointment as Independent Verifier and a group comprised of an equal number of representatives from the Agency and the Company shall evaluate the proposals.
(d) The candidate submitting the most responsive proposal shall be selected as the Independent Verifier for the Project. The Parties shall execute an appointment letter in substantially the form provided in Schedule 12 (Independent Verifier Appointment Letter).
(e) Any dispute between the Parties arising from the selection of the Independent Verifier shall be resolved following the procedures for the settlement of disputes stipulated in Section 19 (Dispute Resolution).
