Familiarization Programs a. The familiarization programs specified below are offered at no additional charge to Buyer or Buyer’s Customer, except for any travel and board & lodging expenses of Buyer or Buyer’s Customer’s trainees and except for any operational and incidental expenses related to training requirements (including but not limited to expenses related to training facilities approval and training program approval) of Buyer’s Customer, whether imposed by the Airworthiness Authority or other authority of Buyer’s Customer’s country having jurisdiction, and which differ from or are supplementary to the standard familiarization programs described herein. b. The familiarization programs shall, at Embraer’s criteria, be conducted by Embraer, Flight Safety International or other Embraer designated training provider, in accordance with the scope, syllabi and duration of the training program developed by Embraer, Flight Safety International or other Embraer-designated training provider. Such familiarization programs shall be in accordance with all applicable regulations and requirements of and approved by the Airworthiness Authority. Buyer’s Customer may choose to use the training programs “as is” or to develop its own training programs. In any case each of Buyer’s Customers shall be solely responsible for preparing and submitting its training programs to the Airworthiness Authority for approval. c. All familiarization programs shall be provided at the training centers of Embraer, Flight Safety International or other Embraer designated training provider at its respective training center or in such other location as Embraer, Flight Safety International or other Embraer designated training provider may reasonably indicate. Buyer’s Customers shall be responsible for all costs and expenses related to the training services (such as but not limited to instructor travel tickets, local transportation, lodging, per diem and non-productive days), in the event Buyer’s Customer requires that any training services be carried outside such indicated training facilities. d. Notwithstanding the eventual use of the term “training” in this paragraph 2.3.1, the intent of this program is solely to familiarize Buyer’s Customers’ pilots, mechanics, employees or representatives with the operation and maintenance of the Aircraft. Familiarization Programs. The parties agree to release RHC and its employees and accept any liability arising from any training provided by RHC to the parties, or to their designated flight and/or maintenance crew. The parties agree to indemnify RHC and its employees or agents and to hold them free and harmless from any losses, costs, claims, damages or liabilities of any nature arising from the above services. The parties further agree to procure and maintain adequate liability insurance to cover the obligation assumed.

Whenever a FFS or other training devices which are not available in Brazil is required for the familiarization Embraer shall use commercially reasonable efforts to secure training is available to Buyer at an Embraer-designated training provider in the United States, Central America or South America. Familiarization Programs a. Familiarization program specified below is being offered at **Material Redacted**, except for **Material Redacted**. The familiarization programs shall be conducted in accordance with the customer's training program and with all applicable regulations and requirements of the FAA. b. Notwithstanding the eventual use of the term "training" in this paragraph 2.3.1, the intent of this program is solely to familiarize Buyer's pilots, mechanics, employees or representatives, duly qualified per the governing body in the country of Buyer's operation, with the operation and maintenance of the Aircraft. It is not the intent of Embraer to provide basic training ("ab-initio") to any representatives of Buyer. c. The familiarization program, as applicable, shall occur prior to **Material Redacted** Aircraft Actual Delivery Date as it shall be previously agreed upon by Buyer and Embraer. Buyer must give written notification to Embraer **Material Redacted** Days in advance of Buyer's expected training schedule, including the full name and identification of each attendee. Substitutions will not be accepted for training within this period. Should Buyer not take all or any portion of the familiarization program for an Aircraft on or before **Material Redacted** months following the Actual Delivery Date of such Aircraft, Buyer shall be deemed to have fully waived its rights to such service, no refund or indemnity being due by Embraer to Buyer in this case. d. All familiarization programs **Material Redacted** shall be provided by Embraer or its qualified designated representative in **Material Redacted**, or at such other location as Embraer shall reasonably designate. e.   • Orientation Program The Company will allow a designated representative of the Local or Bargaining Unit up to one (1) hour per calendar month for the purpose of conducting the Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Union New Members’ Orientation Program. Such meetings will be conducted during the probationary period of employees, and will be held on Company premises. Employees participating in Orientation Program meetings during their normally scheduled working hours will not suffer loss of pay at their regular rate. Orientation Program meetings will be scheduled by Management and a Management representative may attend as an observer.

  • Training Programs All employees shall successfully complete all necessary training prior to being assigned work (e.g., all employees will complete health and safety training prior to being assigned to task). Nothing in this Article or provision shall constitute a waiver of either party’s bargaining obligations or defenses. The Employer still has an obligation to notify and bargain changes in terms and conditions of employment with the exclusive representative.

  • Training a. The employer, in consultation with the local, shall be responsible for developing and implementing an ongoing harassment and sexual harassment awareness program for all employees. Where a program currently exists and meets the criteria listed in this agreement, such a program shall be deemed to satisfy the provisions of this article. This awareness program shall initially be for all employees and shall be scheduled at least once annually for all new employees to attend. b. The awareness program shall include but not be limited to: i. the definitions of harassment and sexual harassment as outlined in this Agreement; ii. understanding situations that are not harassment or sexual harassment, including the exercise of an employer's managerial and/or supervisory rights and responsibilities; iii. developing an awareness of behaviour that is illegal and/or inappropriate; iv. outlining strategies to prevent harassment and sexual harassment; v. a review of the resolution of harassment and sexual harassment as outlined in this Agreement; vi. understanding malicious complaints and the consequences of such; vii. outlining any Board policy for dealing with harassment and sexual harassment; viii. outlining laws dealing with harassment and sexual harassment which apply to employees in B.C.

  • Training Program It is agreed that there shall be an Apprenticeship Training Program, the provisions of which are set forth in Exhibit "D", which is attached hereto and forms part of this Agreement.

  • Educational Program A. DSST PUBLIC SCHOOLS shall implement and maintain the following characteristics of its educational program in addition to those identified in the Network Contract at DSST XXXX MIDDLE SCHOOL (“the School” within Exhibit A-3). These characteristics are subject to modification with the District’s written approval:

  • Dependent Care Assistance Program The County offers the option of enrolling in a Dependent Care Assistance Program (DCAP) designed to qualify for tax savings under Section 129 of the Internal Revenue Code, but such savings are not guaranteed. The program allows employees to set aside up to five thousand dollars ($5,000) of annual salary (before taxes) per calendar year to pay for eligible dependent care (child and elder care) expenses. Any unused balance is forfeited and cannot be recovered by the employee.

  • Programs and Services Every aspect of the service you provide is considered part of your program, and therefore it must be accessible to individuals with disabilities. This includes parking lots, service counters and spaces, transportation (shuttles, etc.), agendas, flyers, emails, online services, phone calls, meetings, celebrations, classes, recreational activities and more. The guidance in this document is primarily intended to help you provide accessible programs by providing you with the tools to: ▪ survey facilities and identify common architectural barriers for people with disabilities; ▪ identify common ADA compliance problems in your communications and activities; and ▪ remove barriers and fix common ADA compliance problems in these areas. Your programs can be broken into three main categories, (Communications, Facilities, and Activities) which will be covered in more detail below.

  • Resident Educator Program The four-year program is designed to provide newly licensed Ohio educators quality mentoring and guidance. Successful completion of the residency program is required to advance to a five-year professional educator license.

  • Screening After you sign and date the consent document, you will begin screening. The purpose of the screening is to find out if you meet all of the requirements to take part in the study. Procedures that will be completed during the study (including screening) are described below. If you do not meet the requirements, you will not be able to take part in the study. The study investigator or study staff will explain why. As part of screening, you must complete all of the items listed below: • Give your race, age, gender, and ethnicity • Give your medical history o You must review and confirm the information in your medical history questionnaire • Give your drug, alcohol, and tobacco use history • Give your past and current medication and treatment history. This includes any over-the-counter or prescription drugs, such as vitamins, dietary supplements, or herbal supplements, taken in the past 28 days • Height and weight will be measured • Physical exam will be done • Electrocardiogram (ECG) will be collected. An ECG measures the electrical activity of the heart • You may be tested for COVID-19 o Blood tests for human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), hepatitis B, and hepatitis C o Blood tests to see how your blood clots ▪ Fibrinogen ▪ PT/INR/aPTT o Blood tests for amylase and lipase (enzymes that help with digestion, Part B only) o Blood tests for a lipid (fats) panel (Part B only) ▪ Total cholesterol ▪ Triglycerides ▪ HDL ▪ Direct HDL o Blood tests to check your thyroid function (Part B and Part C only) ▪ TSH ▪ Free T4 o Urine to test for drugs of abuse (illegal and prescription) o Urine tests to check your albumin/ creatinine ratio o Females who have not had a period for at least 12 months in a row will have a blood hormone test to confirm they cannot have children • The study investigator may decide to do an alcohol breath test • The use of proper birth control will be reviewed (males only) • You will be asked “How do you feel?” HIV, hepatitis B, and hepatitis C will be tested at screening. If anyone is exposed to your blood during the study, you will have these tests done again. If you have a positive test, you cannot be in or remain in the study. HIV is the virus that causes acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS). If your HIV test is positive, you will be told about the results. It may take weeks or months after being infected with HIV for the test to be positive. The HIV test is not always right. Having certain infections or positive test results may have to be reported to the State Department of Health. This includes results for HIV, hepatitis, and other infections. If you have any questions about what information is required to be reported, please ask the study investigator or study staff. Although this testing is meant to be private, complete privacy cannot be guaranteed. For example, it is possible for a court of law to get health or study records without your permission.

  • Pilot Programs The Employer may develop voluntary pilot programs to test the acceptability of various risk management programs. Incentives for participation in such programs may include limited short-term improvements to the benefits outlined in this Article. Implementation of such pilot programs is subject to the review and approval of the Joint Labor-Management Committee on Health Plans.
