Filling Posted Job Vacancies. (a) Employer Is Responsible For Job Selection The selection of Employees under this Article rests with the Employer, subject to the grievance and arbitration provisions of this Agreement.

Filling Posted Job Vacancies. (a) The Employer shall acknowledge receipt of each application for a posted job vacancy and the applicants and the Union shall be advised of the name of the person selected to fill the vacancy and the employment status and seniority date of that person.
(b) The selection of employees under this Article rests with the Employer, however, such selections shall be subject to the Grievance and Arbitration provisions of this Agreement.
(c) On request, the employer shall give an unsuccessful applicant full reasons why the employee’s application was not successful.
(d) Where any employee has been selected to fill a posted job vacancy pursuant to this Agreement, the Employer shall undertake to move the employee into a new position on the date the vacancy was to be filled or as soon thereafter as possible.
Filling Posted Job Vacancies. (a) The Employer shall advise the Union of the name of the person selected to fill the vacancy and the employment status and seniority date of that person.
(b) The selection of employees under this Section rests with the Employer, however, such selections shall be subject to the grievance and arbitration provisions of this Agreement.
(c) Employees shall be provided a trial period of not less than five (5) working days but not more than ten (10) days prior to the Employers selection under section (b) of this clause.

(e) Where any employee has been selected to fill a posted job vacancy pursuant to this Agreement, the Employer shall undertake to move the employee into a new position on the date the vacancy was to be filled or as soon thereafter as possible.
Filling Posted Job Vacancies. (a) Applicants To Be Acknowledged All applications for posted jobs shall be in writing and the Employer shall acknowledge receipt of each application for a posted job vacancy and the applicants and the Union shall be advised of the name of the person selected to fill the vacancy and the employment status, seniority date and job title of that person and, in the case of a person hired from outside of the bargaining unit, of the external hire status of such person.
Filling Posted Job Vacancies. (a) The following criteria will apply to fill the position of the Unifor Local 114 Union Representative:
i) A Job Posting will be placed in all the Unifor Local 114 shops for ten days (10) for the position of Local Union Representative. The Job Posting will outline the required qualifications and job responsibilities and will detail Wages and benefits.
ii) Applications will be accepted from all Members in Good Standing in Unifor Local 114.
iii) The Executive, following the ten (10) day job posting, will consider all the applications for the position and decide which person should be given the job.
iv) In the appointment of the Unifor Local 114 Representative, first preference shall be given to applicants who are members in good standing of the Unifor Local 114, second preference to a member in good standing of Unifor, third preference to a member in good standing of a Union affiliated to the Canadian Labour Congress/BC Federation of Labour.
v) In the event of illness or unforeseen circumstances of the Unifor Local 114 Representative, the Executive of Unifor Local 114 will have the right to make temporary arrangements, in accordance with this agreement.

i) Prior to the posting going out to the general membership, the vacancy will be posted internally to the current union representatives on staff and the position shall be filled on the basis of seniority. If no existing current union representatives apply, a Job Posting will be placed in all the Unifor Local 114 shops for ten days (10) for the position of Local Union Representative. The Job Posting will outline the required qualifications and job responsibilities and will detail Wages and benefits.
ii) Applications will be accepted from all Members in Good Standing in Unifor Local 114.

Filling Posted Job Vacancies a) Applicants to be Acknowledged – The Employer shall acknowledge in writing to the Employee receipt of each application for a posted job vacancy and the applicants and the Union shall be advised in writing of the name of the person selected to fill the vacancy. If an applicant is not selected within ten (10) days after the closing of the job posting, the applicant and the Union will be advised of the status of the job vacancy.

b) The Employer shall acknowledge receipt of each application for a posted job vacancy and the applicants and the Union shall be advised of the name of the person selected to fill the vacancy and the employment status, seniority date, and permanent headquarters of that person. The Union shall be provided with this same information with respect to each unsuccessful applicant.
c) The Employer shall conduct interviews with all applicants for any posted job vacancy who meet the job selection criteria referred to in this Article. Paid time off work for such purposes shall be granted by the Employer.
d) Where any employee has been selected to fill a posted job vacancy under this Article, the Employer shall undertake to move the employee into the new position on the date the vacancy was to be filled or as soon thereafter as possible.
