General Training Provisions. The enterprise is obliged to ensure that the apprentice receives the relevant vocational training, and an apprentice may only work within the profession in which he or she is to be trained. During the apprenticeship period, the employer must ensure that the apprentice re- ceives all-round training. Before the end of his or her apprenticeship, the apprentice must do a test in accordance with the rules applicable to the trade. If the apprentice passes the test, the enterprise must ensure that the certificate of completed apprenticeship drafted by the apprentice- ship exam commission is send to the apprentice. The enterprise must ensure that the apprentice attends classes approved for the pro- fession in a safe manner, cf. the Danish Act on Vocational Education and Training. The organisations agree to recommend that apprentices, where practicable, receive coaching on the theoretical work at the correspondence college. The organisations agree that adult apprentices are apprentices concluding an appren- ticeship agreement after having attained the age of 25. Adult apprentices are covered by clause 29, "Partial absence day", clause 30, "Supple- mentary benefits in case of industrial injury", clause 31, "Wages during sickness ab- sence", clause 32, "Maternity/adoption pay", and clause 33, "Time off to care for sick children", of the collective agreement. Other apprentices having more than 12 months' seniority are covered by clause 32 "Maternity/adoption pay" with full wages. Apprentices between the ages of 18 and 25 are entitled to take time off to care for their sick child/children under the age of 14 at home. Such training shall be comparable to training provided to specific departments as necessar y. A screening of a video of the original t raining will suffice to meet this obligation.
General Training Provisions. Any training program shall be conducted in accordance with the following provisions: (1) Each training program shall emphasize health and safety in addition to the requirements of the job. (2) Appropriate local and district officials of the Union (including the Mine Health and Safety Committee) shall have the opportunity to review each training program and make comments and suggestions prior to its implementation. (3) The selection of Employees for training opportunities shall be in accordance with seniority and trainability. Definition of Trainability--trainability shall include a job- related determination of an Employee's ability to absorb the training to be provided, the mental and physical capacity to ultimately perform the job for which he is being trained. The job-related determination shall be based on objective standards which may be an oral, written or work demonstration of trainability for the specific job and the applicant for training may establish his trainability by either oral, written or actual work demonstration or any combination thereof as he may choose. (4) While in training, management will make periodic evaluations of the Employee's progress or lack thereof. An Employee who fails to complete the training program shall be allowed to return to his prior job, but if it is not available, to the general labor crew where he may bid on the vacancies to which his seniority entitles him.

  • General Training 417. The City will use its best efforts to provide Local 21 represented employees with up to forty (40) hours of paid time off for job-related training and/or professional development, which shall include one day of professional development of an employee’s choice, not to be unreasonably denied. Such time may include departmental-sponsored training and/or professional development; DHR sponsored training and/or professional development; and/or outside training and/or professional development approved by appointing officer or designee. The foregoing includes but is not limited to mandatory continuing education and/or training requirements.

  • Technical Training The CAISO and the Participating TOs shall respond to reasonable requests for support and provide relevant technical training to each other’s employees to support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the CAISO Controlled Grid and to comply with any NERC or WECC operator certification or training requirements. Examples of such technical training include, but are not limited to: (1) the theory or operation of new or modified equipment (e.g., control systems, Remedial Action Schemes, protective relays); (2) computer and applicator programs; and (3) CAISO (or Participating TO) requirements. The Parties shall enter into agreements regarding the timing, term, locations, and cost allocation for the training.

  • Additional Training Should the introduction of new methods of operation create a need for the perfection or acquisition of skills requiring a training period longer than one (1) year, the additional training time shall be a subject for discussion between the Board and the Union.

  • First Aid Training In the interests of the occupational safety and health of employees, the Employer will undertake an in-service program of first aid training aimed at providing a first aid officer for each department.

  • Safety Training Pursuant to Missouri Revised Statute Section 292.675, Contractors and subcontractors who sign a contract to work on public works projects must provide a 10-hour OSHA construction safety program, or similar program approved by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations, to be completed by their on-site employees within sixty (60) days of beginning work on the construction project. Contractors and subcontractors in violation of this provision will forfeit to the public body $2,500 plus $100 a day for each employee who is employed without training. Public bodies and contractors may withhold/assess these penalties from the payment due to those contractors and subcontractors if found to be in non-compliance.

  • Training and Orientation (a) No employee shall be required to work on any job or operate any piece of equipment until he/she has received proper training and instruction. (b) The Employer shall provide sufficient and adequate training and/or orientation to any employee working in a new or unfamiliar work area or position.
