Grace Days. Employees will continue to be entitled to one grace day between Christmas Day and New Years Day each year.
Grace Days. 7.15.1 The provision of three (3) Grace Days for those employees covered by the Municipal Officers and Nurses Agreement do not apply to employees covered by this Agreement. Grace Days have been ‘annualised’ and form part of the normal wage.

Grace Days.
7.47.1 With the exception of essential services, The City of Onkaparinga will be closed between Christmas Day and New Year’s Day during the life of this agreement. This clause provides for three (3) days paid leave (Grace Days) for all fulltime employees, excluding casual employees, and is provided in addition to all other leave entitlements. Grace Days for part time employees will be based on their contracted hours of duty and their agreed and documented days of work.
7.47.2 If a fulltime employee is directed/rostered to work on a Xxxxx Xxx the employee will be paid his/her applicable rate of pay for that day and is entitled to take a day in lieu of the Grace Day/s at an alternative time in negotiation with the team leader/manager.
7.47.3 If a part time employee is directed/rostered to work on a Grace Day the employee will be paid his/her applicable rate of pay for that day and is entitled to take a day in lieu of the Grace Day/s (calculated in proportion to the hours worked) at an alternative time in negotiation with the team leader/manager.
7.47.4 An employee who applies for and is granted personal leave, or is on any form of parental leave for any of the days that fall between Christmas Day and New Year’s Day will not be entitled to a day off or payment in lieu of a Grace Day
Grace Days. 36.1 For the life of this Agreement Staff will be provided with 3 Grace Days for 2012, 2013 and 2014 only during the period Council is closed between Christmas Day and New Years Day.
36.2 The Chief Executive Officer will write to staff by 30 June each year during this Agreement to confirm the dates on which the Council will be closed and advise as to the dates of three ‘Grace Days’ within the Christmas/New Years Days closure period. Employees will be required to take annual leave with respect to any other day on which the Council is closed around this period.
36.3 If the Council is required, for whatever reason, to open or requires staff to attend for work between Christmas Day and New Years Day, the Council may direct employees to attend the Council.
36.4 If directed to work on a Xxxxx Xxx, an employee will be:
36.4.1 Paid his/her ordinary rate of pay for that day; and
36.4.2 Entitled to take a day in lieu of the Grace Day at an alternative time agreed by the Council and the individual employee.
36.5 If a part-time employee is directed to work on a Xxxxx Xxx, which is his/her usual rostered day, the employee will be:
36.5.1 Paid his/her ordinary rate of pay for that day; and
36.5.2 Entitled to accumulate, in lieu of that Xxxxx Xxx, an amount that he/she would have ordinarily worked on that rostered day, to be taken at an alternative time agreed by the Council and the individual employee. For example, if an employee is usually rostered to work for five hours on a Tuesday and, in a particular calendar year, 30 December falls on a Tuesday, and if that employee is directed to work on 30 December by the Council, that employee will be entitled to accumulate five hours time off in lieu to be taken at an alternative time.
36.6 If an employee applies for, and is granted, sick/carer’s leave for any of the days that fall between Christmas Day and New Years Day, the employee will not be entitled to a day in lieu of a Grace Day. Campbelltown City Council Employee Collective Agreement No 7, 2012
Grace Days. Employees will be entitled to three (3) additional days off work per 12 months (referred to as ‘Grace Days’). These three (3) days can be taken at any time during the 12 month period to which they relate but as they are not regarded as Annual Leave. Grace Days. In recognition of unpaid overtime given to the Community (eg. during Australia Day celebrations), and the expectation that employees support community functions, Council shall continue to provide one Grace Day which shall be taken during Christmas and New Year and one‐half day to attend a community event at the discretion of the Chief Executive Officer. The half‐day shall only be granted if the employee actually attends a community function and shall not be granted to employees on leave. Where work requirements must be met on these days (planned or call out) the employees required to work will be entitled to take the time off on the basis of hour for hour at a mutually convenient time.
