Grievance Committee Meetings. Meetings of the Joint Grievance Committee provided for in the Second Step of the grievance procedure shall start not later than 2:00 p.m. on the day which they are scheduled. The Union committee members, not to exceed two (2) in number, shall be paid their straight time hourly rate of pay for all time away from their regularly scheduled work to attend such meetings. The Employer shall be promptly notified who shall be members of the Union grievance committee and any changes therein.

Grievance Committee Meetings. The union grievance committee generally holds a regular monthly meeting with the Human Resources Manager and such other representatives of the company as the latter may designate. The purpose of these meetings is to discuss grievances which have been submitted on the agenda and to also discuss subjects of common interest which have been submitted on the agenda by the representatives of either one of the parties and any pertinent data will be reviewed. Meetings, other than the regular monthly meeting, in order to discuss grievances will be held within a maximum delay of five (5) working days of the receipt of the request. Minutes of each meeting will be given to all committee members. Answers required by either party on matters other than grievances which were raised on the agenda and discussed at the meeting with the grievance committee shall be given in writing within eight (8) working days following the meeting. Answers required by the company on grievances which were raised on the agenda and discussed at the meeting with the grievance committee shall be given in conformity paragraph 9.04.

(a) Any matter of interpretation, application or administration or alleged violation of the provisions of this collective agreement that is brought to the attention of a union official shall be discussed with the employee relations officer of the company within five working days of the occurrence. The company after consultation with the union and the employee shall provide an answer within three (3) working days from the date of being notified of the problem or incident. Upon receipt of the company's response and/or the expiration of the three (3) working days whichever is less, the union may, if not satisfied with the company's response, file a grievance and the occurrence will be deemed to have occurred on the date that the company gave its response or the expiration of the three (3) days whichever is less, as specified above. Any grievance not settled in accordance with the above shall be filed in writing within five (5) working days of the occurrence, except when employees cannot be expected to be aware of such occurrence due to the following: (a) Absence due to sickness (b) Absence due to funeral (c) Absence for union business (d) Absence of a similar nature In such cases, the five said working days shall begin on the day the employee returns to work. Grievances not processed further within the time limits specified shall be deemed abandoned.

Grievance Committee Meetings. Meetings of the joint grievance committees provided for in the Third Step of the grievance procedure shall start not later than 4:00 p.m. on the day for which they are scheduled, unless mutually agreed upon by the parties thereto. The Association's committee members, not exceeding four (4) in number, shall suffer no loss of pay due to time lost from their regularly scheduled work while attending such meetings.

Changes in schedule or multiple meetings in a single month shall occur only by mutual agreement of both Parties.
