Illness in Family Leave. (a) In cases of illness, serious enough to reasonably believe that a member of the immediate family may not survive, an employee shall be granted up to one (1) day leave with pay to visit the place of residence of the immediate family member. Immediate family shall be as set out in Clause 18.1(b) of this Agreement.
(b) Employees may be granted up to two (2) additional days' paid leave if travel is required to visit the place of residence.
Illness in Family Leave. All teachers of the school corporation shall be allowed up to five (5) days leave per year with pay, not accumulative and not deducted from sick leave, in case of serious illness, major surgery, or serious accident involving a member of the family. The term "family" shall be construed to mean spouse, children, parents, brothers, sisters, or others needing to be under the teacher's care. Presentation of proof of the serious illness, major surgery, or serious accident shall be required after two (2) days.

(c) In addition to the entitlements in paragraphs 18.2(a) and (b), an employee is entitled to up to five days of unpaid leave during each year to meet responsibilities related to:
(1) the care, health or education of a child in the employee’s care, or
(2) the care or health of any other member of the employee’s immediate family.
Illness in Family Leave. Up to a total of five (5) days per year per employee may be granted in the event of illness in the employee’s immediate family as defined above in Paragraph 6, Section a.
Illness in Family Leave. All professional personnel of the school corporation may use accumulated sick leave up to ten (10) days per year, with pay, not accumulative, in case of serious illness, major surgery, or serious accident involving a member of the teacher's family.
Illness in Family Leave. 1. Illness in the Family Leave shall be construed to mean leave necessitated by illness of a member of the employee's immediate family. The immediate family shall be construed to mean, father, mother, son, step-son, daughter, step-daughter, wife or husband.
2. Eligible employees shall be entitled to up to five (5) days annually, non-accumulative.
3. Eligible employees, for the purpose of determining eligibility for this leave, shall be those employees normally working more than 1,000 hours per school year.
4. This leave shall be subject to the approval of the employee's supervisor.
Illness in Family Leave. Teachers shall be allowed up to five (5) days leave per school year with pay, not accumulative in sick leave and not deducted from sick leave, to be used in case of illness, surgery, or accident involving a member of the teacher's immediate family. Teachers shall have an additional five (5) days leave per school year with pay and deducted from sick leave, to be used in case of illness, surgery, quarantine or accident involving a member of the teacher’s immediate family. The term "immediate family" shall mean spouse, children, parents, brother, sister, others for whom the teacher is the primary caregiver, or others living in the home with the teacher. All of the above relationships shall include step, xxxxxx, and adopted relatives of the teacher and spouse.
Illness in Family Leave. Leaves totaling three (3) days shall be granted in case of illness 12 to family members. Such leave is non-cumulative and shall not be deducted from Illness, Injury and 13 Emergency Leave. Employees may utilize their accrued illness, injury and emergency leave under
Illness in Family Leave. A. Three (3) days per year, non-cumulative, for all unit members working 30 or more hours per week, pro-rated in half day increments from date of employment.
B. Two (2) days per year, non-cumulative, for all unit members working less than 30 hours per week, pro-rated in half-day increments from date of employment. Unit members may use Illness in Family Leave for illnesses, medical emergencies, or hospital stays involving members of their immediate family, as needed. Additionally, unit members may use Illness in Family Leave to transport and/or attend medical tests, dental and doctor appointments of immediate family members. Immediate family is defined as wife, husband, daughter, son, brother, sister, parents, and parents of the unit member’s wife or husband, and grandparents of the unit member. Special requests will be considered by the Superintendent of Schools or their designee. An electronic procedure (i.e. e-mail or WinCap) will be used to record and verify unit members’ use if Illness in Family Leave.

Unit members may use family days for illnesses, medical emergencies, or hospital stays involving members of their immediate family, as needed. Under special circumstances, family days may include taking immediate family members for hospital tests, dental or doctor appointments where immediate family members are unable to attend these appointments themselves. Immediate family is defined as spouse, child, sibling, parent, spouse’s parent, grandchild, grandparent of the unit member, and legal resident of the unit member’s household. An electronic procedure (i.e. email or WinCap) may be used to record and verify unit member’s use of Illness in Family Leave.
