IMPROVER Sample Clauses

IMPROVER. Each Improver, prior to employment may be tested at the Michigan BAC Training Center. In turn, the Training Center will issue a recommendation on the skill level and subsequent beginning pay schedule of the Improver. The Employer may also establish an Improver’s beginning wage schedule subject to Union approval. All parties to this Collective Bargaining Agreement hereby agree to recognize the Improver classification primarily for organizing purposes.

IMPROVER. Any existing Improver may apply to and be considered for acceptance in the appropriate apprenticeship program to become a certified Journeyperson.

Training credits may be granted to an Improver for previous training or experience in the work of the classification to which they are assigned for training at the beginning of the improvership. Employees assigned to new classifications in accordance with this clause will have a probation period of thirty days worked wherein they may elect to revert to their former classification, but nothing in this clause will prevent their to their former classification, with respect to a skilled employee within ninety days worked and with respect to a semi-skilled employee within forty-five days worked, if, in the opinion of Management Personnel, they are unlikely ...
IMPROVER. Employee who has at least two (2) years' experience at the top rate of a Production Mechanic or its equivalent. Works from drawings under limited supervision. Sets up and operates related machines in the shop. Does tig welding and inputs basic programming to computerized machinery. To be capable of directing Production Mechanics.
IMPROVER. Works under minimal supervision of Journeyman or Charge Hand. An employee who has as least two (2) years’ experience at the top rate of Production Mechanic or its equivalent. Must be able to TIG weld, spot weld, read blueprints, fabricate more difficult custom orders. Must be capable to operate machines, set-up and input basic programming into computerized machinery. Must be capable of directing Production Mechanics.
IMPROVER. Employees with more than four thousand (4,000) hours experience but less than six thousand (6,000) hours of experience.
IMPROVER. Employees who have had at least one (1) year's experience as Production Mechanic. Must be able to read and work from blue prints and fabricate first class work under supervision of a Journeyman and fabricate smaller custom work without supervision and instruct Production Mechanic on this type of work. Must be able to work with the tools of the trade and necessary available machines in the Plant. Also should be expected to do simple arc welding. Improver classifications shall apply in the following trades within a manufacturing plant. Machinist Electrical Welding PRODUCTION MECHANIC Employees who have two (2) years' in this Plant or its equivalent. They shall be able to work with the tools of the trade and necessary available machines in the Plant, except turret lathe and milling machine, on independent jobs under supervision of an Improver or a Journeyman. Must be able to read and work from blue prints. BEGINNER Employees direct from school or who have less than six (6) months' experience in the Electrical Manufacturing Industry to perform work of direct assistance to other classifications and progresses to Production Mechanic after a period of two (2) years.
