In Lieu Premium. Part-time employees shall receive six percent (6%) per hour premium in addition to the wage rates outlined in Schedule “A”. This premium shall serve as compensation in lieu of holiday pay provided by Article 17, Insurance Plan benefits provided by Article 19, and Sick Leave benefits provided by Article 20. In the event of a change of status from part-time to full-time or vice versa, benefits paid on behalf of full-time employees or payments in lieu of benefits paid to part-time employees shall be changed accordingly, and in no event shall an employee be paid both full-time benefits and payments in lieu of benefits at the same time. Any current employee who is receiving the in-lieu rates (as shown below) will continue until such time as the six percent (6%) premium represent a greater amount than $1.00/$1.15 per hour shown below. In Lieu Premium. There shall be an in-lieu premium for all part-time staff of eight and a half percent (8.5%) (inclusive of sick leave and ESA emergency leave days, health and welfare benefits, and holiday pay).
In Lieu Premium. At the time of hire or during open enrollment, regular Full-Time or Part-Time nurses may elect to receive a sixteen percent (16%) premium above their regular rate of pay in lieu of benefits. When a regular Full-Time or Part-Time nurse elects the sixteen percent (16%) premium, they will not receive PTO, disability leave, insurance, or matching retirement contribution. They will continue to receive applicable premium pay. If a nurse has accumulated PTO hours prior to electing the sixteen percent (16%) premium in lieu of benefits, when such nurse takes time off due to illness, holiday, or for vacation, the nurse may use his/her accumulated PTO time; however, the nurse’s Disability Leave (Article 13.2) will be frozen, and the nurse will not be able to use their Disability Leave, until such time the nurse elects to stop receiving the 16% premium and is again eligible for benefits. A nurse receiving the 16% premium, who separates employment in good standing, and provides at least 3 weeks prior notice, will be eligible to cash out his/her PTO account. Upon separation, the nurse’s PTO and disability leave accounts will be reduced to zero.
In Lieu Premium. An employee may opt out of the group health insurance plan, except for Life Insurance coverage, Accidental Death & Dismemberment, and Long-Term Disability coverage, so long as he can show proof of coverage elsewhere. In lieu of his participation in the group health insurance plan, such an employee shall receive a premium of one dollar and fifty cents ($1.50/hr) per hour worked. This premium shall be included in an employee’s gross earnings, but shall not form part of his base wage rate for the purposes of calculating pay for overtime.

  • Training Premium Qualified Operators selected by the Employer to train new Operators shall be paid a training premium of 40¢ per hour while engaged in training work.

  • Shift Premium Effective July 1, 2020, an employee shall be paid a shift premium of ninety-five cents (95c/ ) per hour for each hour worked between 1500 hours and 0700 hours provided that such hours exceed two (2) hours if worked in conjunction with the day shift.

  • Certification Premium Nurses certified in a specialty area by a national organization and working in that area of certification shall be paid a premium of one dollar and twenty-five cents ($1.25) per hour, provided that the nurse continues to meet all educational and other requirements to keep the certification current and in good standing.

  • Overtime Premium (a) Employees shall be entitled to payment of time and one-half (1-1/2X) the employee's basic straight time hourly rate for all authorized overtime work in excess of seven and one-half (7-1/2) hours in a tour of duty or in excess of the average full-time hours of work over the period scheduled by the Hospital. Such period for this purpose shall not exceed two (2) weeks. It is understood that no overtime will be paid where the time worked was a result of an exchange at shifts between employees. Overtime shall be distributed as equally as practical among those employees normally performing the type of work to be done on overtime. Notice of overtime work shall be given as soon as practically possible. It is understood and acknowledged that the Hospital has the right to require employees to perform reasonably authorized overtime work. Call-back shall not be considered as hours worked for purposes of this Article. Overtime premium will not be duplicated nor pyramided nor shall other premiums be duplicated nor pyramided nor shall the same hours worked be counted as part of the normal work week and also as hours for which the overtime premium is paid. Where an employee is required to work additional overtime contiguous to an overtime shift within a twenty-four (24) hour period, the employee will be compensated at the rate of double time his or her straight time hourly rate for all additional contiguous overtime hours worked.

  • Weekend Premium Effective July 1, 2020, an employee shall be paid a weekend premium of one dollar and ten cents ($1.10) per hour for each hour worked between 2300 hours Friday and 2300 hours Sunday, or such other forty-eight (48) hour period as the local parties may agree upon or as defined in the Collective Agreement. If an employee is receiving premium pay pursuant to a local scheduling regulation with respect to consecutive weekends worked, the employee will not receive weekend premium under this provision.

  • First Aid Premium First Aid Premiums shall apply when an employee is assigned by the Employer to be a First Aid Attendant on a job site and shall be paid as follows: Level II - $1.00 per hour. Level III - $2.00 per hour.

  • Bilingual Premium The appointing authority may require a qualified employee to perform bilingual duties in positions which have been identified and designated as requiring such bilingual skills. In order to ensure an adequate level of bilingual proficiency, the Director, Department of Human Resources may require periodic evaluation of incumbents receiving bilingual premium.

  • Payment of Premium Unless otherwise agreed in writing by the Parties, the Buyer shall be obligated to pay the Premium related to an Option no later than its Premium Payment Date.
