Jury Duty/Quarantine. A Long Term Occasional Teacher shall be eligible for leave with pay if called for jury duty or under quarantine. Such leave without pay shall not be considered an interruption in service for the calculation of the length of the assignment. Such service fees as are received by the Long Term Occasional Teacher as a juror shall be remitted to the Board.

Jury Duty/Quarantine. (a) When a Long Term Occasional Teacher is required to be absent because of jury duty, or as a witness in any court to which the Occasional Teacher has been summoned in any proceedings to which the Occasional Teacher is not a party or one of the persons charged, the Occasional Teacher shall be subject to neither loss of salary nor deduction from sick leave credit, provided that the Occasional Teacher pays to the Board any fees, exclusive of travelling allowances and living expenses, that the Occasional Teacher receives as a juror or as a witness. An itemized expense statement shall be submitted by the Occasional Teacher to the Board.
Jury Duty/Quarantine. Bereavement: When a death occurs in the immediate family of an em- ployee and the employee attends the funeral or a memorial service, such employee shall, al request, granted a leave of absence. Leave to attend the funeral shall not exceed five - - - - - - consecutive regular working days during his assigned work week schedule. Leave to attend a memorial service exceed three consecutive regular working days during his assigned work schedule. An employee’s xxx xxxxxx, son, daughter, sister, mother, father, father&law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, xxxxxx parents, employee’s brother-in-law or sister-in-law, Other relatives residing with the employee shall also be considered as immediate family. The Company ‘will grant a pay allowanceof up o a maximum three days during the employee’s as- signed work schedule and restricted to the the the case of a memorial service one day’s pay. N Notwithstanding the above, where interment of a deceased member of an employee’s immediate family is delayed, the employee may elect to take up to one working day five day bereavement leave entitlement to attend at the interment. Jury Duty or Court Attendance: Leave of absence with pay be by the Company to employees for duty or court attendance (not as plaintiffs, defendants Em- ployees shall for regular duties while temporarily excused from attendance at court. Quarantine An employee required to b-e absent due to quarantine by duly constituted healthauthorities such absence which shall be treated as absence due to personal sickness.

  • Jury Duty 31.1 An employee who is summoned for jury duty and is required to lose time from his assignment as a result thereof, shall be paid for actual time lost with a maximum of one basic day's pay at the straight time rate of his position for each day lost, less the amount allowed him for jury duty for each such day excluding allowances paid by the court for meals, lodging or transportation, subject to the following requirements and limitations:

  • Jury Duty Leave A regular, limited-term or probationary employee who is called for jury duty or for examination for jury duty shall be compensated at the employee's regular rate of pay for those hours of absence due to the jury duty which occur during the employee's regularly scheduled working hours provided the employee deposits the employee's fees for such hours of jury duty, exclusive of mileage, with the County Treasurer. Fees for jury duty performed during hours other than regularly scheduled working hours may be retained by the employee. Any hours worked beyond the regularly scheduled workday shall be subject to the workweek and overtime provisions (Article I). An employee may request a change in regularly scheduled working hours to a Monday through Friday day shift for the duration of such jury duty. Such requests shall be granted if practicable.

  • JURY DUTY PAY All employees required to serve on jury duty shall be paid by the School District the difference between their regular pay and jury duty pay. In implementing this section, the School District shall continue to pay the employee the regular rate of pay and the employee shall be obligated upon receipt of the jury duty pay from the governmental agency to immediately remit any witness fees received to the School District less any mileage expenses. Absences under this section shall not be deducted from accumulated leave.

  • Jury Duty and Crown Witness 20.01 Employees subpoenaed as a Crown Witness or for jury duty shall be paid the difference between the normal daily wages and the amount they receive for such public duty.

  • Jury Duty and Witness Duty If an employee is required to serve as a juror in any court of law, or is required to attend as a witness in a court proceeding in which the Crown is a party, or is required by subpoena to attend a court of law or coroner’s inquest, in connection with a case arising from an employee’s duties at the Home, the employee shall not lose regular pay because of such attendance, provided that the employee:

Any employee who is absent due to a court appearance to testify on behalf of the school or who is subpoenaed to testify because of an incident which arose out of the employee’s being a witness to events at school, shall be granted paid professional leave upon the employee submitting to the Administration a copy of the subpoena as verification for the leave.

  • Jury Duty and Subpoena Leave A. Leave of absence with pay will be granted to employees for jury duty with appropriate documentation. An employee will be allowed to retain any compensation paid to him or her for jury duty service.
