LEAVE FOR JURY OR WITNESS DUTY. A. An Employee covered by the terms of this Agreement, if summoned to serve as a witness or juror in any judicial proceedings except those which may involve or arise out of the Employee's outside employment or the Employee's personal business or private affairs shall, if the Employee serves, be entitled to leave of absence with pay.

LEAVE FOR JURY OR WITNESS DUTY. Any Employee who is summoned as a juror or witness in any judicial proceeding (subject to any claim for exemption from jury duty as in the law provided) shall, if the Employee serves, be entitled to leave of absence with pay for the period required for such service. An Employee who serves as a witness or a juror and who receives a fee or mileage allowance shall not suffer the loss of such monies or have it off-set against the Employee’s salary account. When an Employee is summoned as a witness in a proceeding involving or arising from the Employee’s outside employment or personal business affairs, the Employee shall not be entitled to leave of absence with pay as provided herein. An Employee shall, however, be entitled to use the Employee’s vacation leave or elect to take leave without pay.

Xx educational officer covered by the terms of this Agreement, if summoned to serve as a witness or juror in any judicial proceedings except those which may involve or arise out of the educational officer's outside employment or personal business or private affairs shall, if the educational officer serves, be entitled to leave of absence with pay.
