(b) Learner drivers and provisional and probationary licence holders are not acceptable and must not drive the Vehicle.

Licence requirements. 17.1 Employees are required as a condition of their continuing employment to hold the appropriate driving licences and/or have undertaken and passed the appropriate training courses before they operate any Company vehicles (including trucks), plant and machinery. 17.2 The Employer reserves the right to request proof of whether an Employee has a valid and appropriate driver's licence and/or has undertaken and passed the appropriate training courses for operation of Company vehicles (including trucks), plant and machinery. Upon request from the Employer, an Employee may be required to provide evidence of current driver’s licence. 17.3 An Employee must notify the Employer immediately if he or she has lost their driver's licence or had their driver's licence suspended for any period of time or if he or she is required to attend court in respect of a potential loss of driver's licence or suspension of driver's licence. 17.4 It is the Employee’s responsibility to ensure that a licence is renewed prior to its expiry. If an Employee ceases to hold a driver's licence that is essential for the performance of his or her duties, the Employer may take disciplinary action against the Employee and such disciplinary action may include termination of their employment. 17.5 If an Employee does not hold the appropriate licence, the Employee is strictly prohibited from participating in activities that require that qualification or licence. Such conduct may result in disciplinary action which may include termination of their employment.
Licence requirements. (3)16.1 All employees who drive City vehicles shall at all times be in possession of a valid driver’s licence with the appropriate class and such driver’s licence shall be shown to City Officials on request. (3)16.2 When an employee has experienced a medical condition which would normally lead to the revocation of his or her licence under the relevant licensing legislation, the employee must take the following steps to expedite his or her return to work. The Human Resources Consultant will provide advice on the appropriate procedures and assist in processing the required documentation. The employee must: 16.2.1 ensure that the appropriate provincial authorities are informed at the earliest possible moment by himself or herself or by his or her physician or specialist so that the formal revocation may take place or, depending upon the circumstances of the case, that a waiver application will be filed once the employee has sufficiently recovered from the illness; 16.2.2 once a diagnosis of recovery has been received, apply for reinstatement of the licence or waiver, as the case may be, and 16.2.3 inform the City as soon as the licence has been reinstated or the waiver has been granted. The employee will not be permitted to book work at a General Booking for which the licence is required unless there is a reasonable expectation that the reinstatement of the licence or waiver will be granted before or during the booking. The employee will not be permitted to resume driving duties until the above steps have been completed. (3)16.3 If an employee who is required to hold an Ontario Class “CZ” licence or equivalent as a condition of employment has such licence cancelled, suspended or downgraded by the Provincial authorities for other than medical reasons: 16.3.1 while operating a City vehicle and engaged in work activity: such an employee shall have his or her employment with the City terminated immediately; 16.3.2 while operating a vehicle not associated with assigned work activity and if the suspension, cancellation or downgrading of the licence is for eighteen months or less: If alternate work is available and the employee meets all requirements and qualifications, the employee may be assigned such work. If the employee does not report for work immediately after the licence has been restored or, if at the end of the eighteen month period, the licence has not been restored, the employee’s employment with the City shall be terminated immediately. Licence requirements. 5.1. GFMS will obtain and exhibit health, fire, and liquor license authorities' approvals at each of the Market's vending stalls for which those approvals are required. 5.2. When the Market is operating, GFMS will maintain the Land in a clean and sanitary condition, free of litter. 5.3. GFMS will ensure that all Vendors have obtained proof of registration with sales tax authorities if that registration is required by law. 5.4. When the Market is operating, GFMS will maintain pedestrian walkways and access for emergency vehicles on the Land. 5.5. Should there be a need request for a road closure, GFMS will not implement the provisions on their own, but will utilize the services of Victoria Contracting and Municipal Maintenance Corporation (VCMMC), who will erect barriers no earlier than one (1) hour before the Market operation is to begin, and one (1) hour after the Market closes. 5.6. GFMS will ensure that on each day that the Market operates, all tables, display stands, coverings, screens, and other equipment used for the Market are: (a) not erected until two (2) hours before the Market operation is to begin; and (b) removed from the Land within one (1) hour after the Market ends. 5.7. On each day that the Market ends, GFMS will leave the Land in the same condition that it was before the structures and equipment for the Market were erected. 5.8. If GFMS fails to comply with section 5.7 and the City does any of the work described in those clauses, GFMS will pay to the City the costs of the work undertaken by the City. 5.9. When requested, GFMS will provide to the City, a full report related to the following matters: (a) the percentage of commercial vendors, local produce and beverage vendors, local craft vendors, and local artists who participate in the Market.
