Medical Services Plan of B.C. Each full-time employee and their eligible dependants shall be entitled to coverage under the Medical Services Plan of B.C. effective the first day of the calendar month following one (1) month of continuous employment. The Plan includes coverage for the spouse and dependant children of the employee.
Medical Services Plan of B.C. The College shall pay 100% of the monthly premium for this coverage. Coverage and eligibility shall be governed by the terms of the plan.
Medical Services Plan of B.C. The parties recognize that the method of funding MSP has been changed from an individually paid premium system to a system funded by an employer paid payroll tax. If the government, at any time in the future, reverts to an individually paid premium system for basic medical insurance, the parties agree that the employer will pay 100% of the premium for employees on the same basis as exists in the 2014 – 2019 collective agreement.
Medical Services Plan of B.C. The employer shall pay 100% of the premiums for eligible employees and their dependents. Participation is voluntary for eligible employees.
Medical Services Plan of B.C. (a) An employee shall be eligible to receive the benefit coverage under paragraph (b) below commencing on the first (1st) day of the month coinciding with or next following three (3) months of continuous employment, provided that the employee has worked an average of twenty (20) or more regular hours per week during that three (3) month period.
(b) The Employer shall pay one hundred percent (100%) of the regular monthly premiums for an eligible employee, and his/her eligible dependents, for coverage under the Medical Services Plan of B.C
(c) If, after completing three (3) months of continuous employment from his/her date of hire, the employee does not meet the eligibility requirement in paragraph (a) above, then the employee shall be eligible to receive the benefit coverage under paragraph (b) above after having worked an average of twenty (20) or more regular hours per week during any period of three (3) consecutive calendar months.
(d) Provided that an eligible employee has worked for the Employer during two (2) consecutive winter seasons (covering the period from December 15th to April 15th), the Employer shall continue to pay one hundred percent (100%) of the regular monthly premiums for the employee, and his/her eligible dependents, for coverage under the Medical Services Plan of B.C. for the period of two (2) months after layoff.
(e) An employee who fails to return to work upon his/her recall from layoff shall reimburse the Employer for the full cost of the monthly premiums which the Employer paid pursuant to paragraph (d) above.
(f) Extended Benefits will continue to be paid by the Employer for up to twelve (12) months while the employee is off due to illness, injury (LTD/STD/WCB).
(g) At the time an employee becomes eligible for MSP coverage, if the employee has the access to MSP coverage from another source, such as a spouse’s plan, that employee is required to be covered under the spouse’s plan for as long as that spouse has coverage.
Medical Services Plan of B.C. All regular employees and long-term auxiliary employees cited in Clause 4.3(g), whether full or part-time, may choose to be covered by BC Medical Services Plan or its equivalent. The Employer agrees to pay 100% of these costs at the dependant rate, if required.

Medical Services Plan of B.C. 14.04 In accordance with Clause 14.01 of this Agreement, the Employer shall make available coverage under the Medical Services Plan of BC with 100% premiums paid by the Employer. Coverage under this Plan is not compulsory.
Medical Services Plan of B.C. The employee may maintain coverage in those Plans. The employee must pay 100% of the premiums for this coverage during such leave. The College will continue to remit premiums on behalf of such employees. Mutually acceptable arrangements for repayment of the employee's portion shall be made in advance of the commencement of the leave. Failure by the employee to effect payment of the premiums may result in loss of coverage.
Medical Services Plan of B.C. All employees working twenty-four (24) hours or more per week shall be eligible for M.S.P.B.C. coverage on a cost sharing basis as follows: Employer to pay one hundred percent (100%) of premiums. This change to take effect on the first day of the month following the signing of a collective agreement.
