Method of Procedure of the EC. 8.5.1 Except for Music Tutors, the EC will evaluate Members for courses taught in the fall semester in the January following, for courses taught in the winter semester in the May following and, for courses taught in the spring/summer session, in the September following. 8.5.2 At least three weeks before the end of each semester, the EC shall post a notice including a list of all Members to be evaluated that semester. This notice shall also invite submissions in writing from the Members and the regular fulltime faculty of the appropriate departments or programs, and the Deans of the appropriate Divisions, which must be received no later than four weeks after the deadline for the submission of marks for that semester. A copy of this notice shall be sent to all Members, and each Member shall receive a copy of any submission to the EC regarding her or him. 8.5.3 Members who are being evaluated shall be invited to submit a teaching dossier that may include a course syllabus, the marking scheme, the assignments and tests for each course, and whatever other information the Member deems helpful to the EC in evaluating her/his teaching performance. This dossier must be received no later than four weeks after the deadline for the submission of marks for that semester. 8.5.4 A copy of this notice shall be sent to all Members. Each Member shall also receive a copy of any submission to the EC regarding her or him. 8.5.5 Notwithstanding Article 8.3.4 b) above, the EC may question any person who has submitted written information on matters pertaining to her/his submission. 8.5.6 Any motion shall be formally voted on and to carry shall require at least three (3) affirmative votes or, in the case of a vote of Unsatisfactory or Exceptional, four (4) affirmative votes. All votes of the EC shall be recorded. An abstention shall be considered a vote against any motion. 8.5.7 The EC shall notify a Member of any decision regarding her or him within fourteen (14) days of its decision. 8.5.8 Except insofar as the procedures under the terms of this agreement require the communication of information, the documents and deliberations of the EC are confidential to that committee.

Method of Procedure of the EC a) The EC shall elect annually a chairperson and a secretary. b) A quorum of the EC shall be five (5) in cases of re-appointment and tenure and in all other cases four (4). c) Any motion shall be formally voted on and to carry shall require at least three (3) affirmative votes. All votes of the EC shall be recorded. d) An abstention is considered a vote against any motion. e) The EC shall give seven (7) days notice in writing to the Member concerned that his/her case of re-appointment, tenure, promotion and periodic evaluation is to be considered by the committee with a statement of the nature of the case. A Member has then the right to meet with the EC prior to its preliminary decision. f) The EC shall keep minutes of all its meetings. g) In evaluating Members as per 7.01 above the EC shall only consider written evidence and only concerning the following criteria: i) Teaching Performance ii) Scholarly, creative and professional activity, research and publications which may, at the Member’s option, include those carried out or published prior to appointment at Xxxxxx’x University and when requested by a Member be evaluated with the same criteria and with the same weight as those carried out or published after appointment at Xxxxxx’x, and in accordance with the step and rank of the Member at the time of evaluation and which may, at the Member’s option be submitted for external evaluation before or after the preliminary decision of the committee. In the case of promotion to Full Professor only, the EC will have the option of submitting a dossier for external evaluation. In such cases there are to be two external evaluators: the candidate provides two or more names of which the EC must include one but they may, at their option, add another. In its evaluation the EC shall seek to balance all aspects of scholarly and other creative activity and to consider the disciplinary context and/or restraints (for example, experimental science, in which a Member is able to carry out his/her research. In the latter instance a Member must provide the EC with appropriate information. iii) Contributions to the University including service on University Association committees and other teaching contributions such as supervision of independent studies and/or honours theses and giving pro xxxx courses. Instructors and Senior Instructors will be evaluated either under the criteria of i) above only, or, at their option, under the criteria of i) and one or more of the other two (2)...

  • Method of Billing Consultant may submit invoices to the City for approval on a progress basis, but no more often than two times a month. Said invoice shall be based on the total of all Consultant’s services which have been completed to City’s sole satisfaction. City shall pay Consultant’s invoice within forty-five (45) days from the date City receives said invoice. Each invoice shall describe in detail, the services performed, the date of performance, and the associated time for completion. Any additional services approved and performed pursuant to this Agreement shall be designated as “Additional Services” and shall identify the number of the authorized change order, where applicable, on all invoices.

  • Method of Giving Consent Any consent of a member required by this Agreement may be given by a written consent.

  • Method of Notice All notices shall be given (i) by delivery in person (ii) by a nationally recognized next day courier service, (iii) by first class, registered or certified mail, postage prepaid, (iv) by facsimile, or (v) by electronic mail] to the address of the OETC Contract Administrator or Contractor's Contract Coordinator or such other address as either party may specify in writing.

  • Duration of Processing Subject to any Section of the DPA and/or the Agreement dealing with the duration of the Processing and the consequences of the expiration or termination thereof, Data Processor will Process Personal Data for the duration of the Agreement, unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.

  • Method of Communication Except as otherwise provided in this Agreement, all notices and communications hereunder shall be in writing, or by telephone subsequently confirmed in writing.   • Method of Measurement All linear and area measurements under this Agreement are measured on the horizontal plane, unless specified otherwise in an attached Schedule.

  • Method of Computation To determine the Adviser’s liability with respect to the Excess Amount, each month the Fund Operating Expenses for the Fund shall be annualized as of the last day of the month. If the annualized Fund Operating Expenses for any month exceeds the Operating Expense Limit of the Fund, the Adviser shall first waive or reduce its investment advisory fee for such month by an amount sufficient to reduce the annualized Fund Operating Expenses to an amount no higher than the Operating Expense Limit. If the amount of the waived or reduced investment advisory fee for any such month is insufficient to pay the Excess Amount, the Adviser shall also remit to the Fund an amount that, together with the waived or reduced investment advisory fee, is sufficient to pay such Excess Amount.
