New Hire Pilot – A Pilot who is hired by the Company with either no previous experience with the Company or a Pilot who was previously employed by the Company, who may or may not have been on the Allegiant Air Pilot’s System Seniority List. Open Time – In accordance with this Agreement, any Trip Pairings or portions thereof, or RAPs which remain unassigned, shall be made available in the Schedule Adjustment Period (SAP) and/or Open Time process and available to qualified Pilots in each specific fleet type to bid for, be awarded, or assigned such unassigned Duty.
MINIMUM DAYS OFF a. (1) A Reserve shall be relieved of all duties for twelve (12) calendar days each month at her/his home domicile. (2) At its discretion, the Company may build reserve lines with up to sixteen (16) calendar days off in a month, subject to a proportionate reduction in guarantee. (3) The manner in which these days off are sequenced will be determined by each domicile except that such sequences must provide for at least one (1) calendar day off during any seven (7) consecutive days. The Local Union Schedule Committee may recommend sequences of reserve days off which normally will be utilized if they do not result in a need for additional Reserves or, in the opinion of Inflight Scheduling, create or compound a potential coverage problem. Such days off shall be assigned prior to the beginning of each month and shall be shown on her/his schedule for the month. (4) No later than three (3) days prior to the schedule change, a Reserve who did not bid for but was assigned a line with the number of days off exceeding the monthly applicable mini- mum may, at her/his option, contact Crew Scheduling to be assigned additional days of availability and have her/his reserve guarantee adjusted.   • Vacation Earnings for Partial Years (1) During the first partial year of service a new employee will earn vacation at the rate of three and two-thirds (32/3) days for each month for which the employee earns ten (10) days pay. (2) Subject to Clause 17.8, any unused vacation earned during the first (1st) partial year will be paid to the employee at December 31st of that year. (b) During the first (1st) and subsequent vacation years an employee will earn one-twelfth (1/12) of the annual entitlement for each month in which the employee has received at least ten (10) days' pay at straight-time rates. Where an employee has taken more vacation than earned, the unearned portion taken shall be charged against future earned credits or recovered upon termination whichever occurs first.

  • Rostered Days Off 38.1 The ordinary working hours shall be worked in a ten (10) day/two (2) week cycle, Monday to Friday inclusive with eight (8) hours worked on each of nine days within the cycle and with 0.8 of an hour on each of those days accruing toward the tenth day, which shall be taken as a paid day off. The tenth day will be known as the Rostered Day Off or (RDO). 38.2 RDOs are paid at the ordinary time rate paid to Employees at the time of taking the RDO and will include the daily ‘Fares & Travelling Allowance’, and any applicable Site Allowance as prescribed by this Agreement. 38.3 For clarity, 26 RDOs will be accrued by an Employee in each twelve months continuous service. The Employer must maintain a RDO accrual system that accurately records the accrual of RDOs in accordance with this Agreement. 38.4 Each day of paid leave taken and any public holiday occurring during any cycle of two weeks will be a day worked for accrual purposes. 38.5 Upon commencement of employment, Employees who have not worked a complete ten (10) day/two (2) week cycle, will receive pro-rata accrual entitlements for the first RDO or group of RDOs falling after their commencement of employment. An Employer and Employee may agree to RDO accruals in advance in instances where the Employee does not have sufficient RDO accruals when an RDO falls due. 38.6 Upon termination of employment, an adjustment will be made to ensure that the full RDO entitlements, and no more, have been provided. This means that Employees then having received more RDOs than they were entitled to will have the relevant amount removed from final termination payments, and Employees who have received less than their full RDO entitlement will have the outstanding amount added to final termination payments.

  • Weeks Any leave of absence for maternity, paternity or adoption that results from the birth or adoption of a child(ren) that is medically necessary as evidenced by an attending physician’s statement is covered by the sick leave provisions of this Agreement. The attending physician’s statement shall be submitted to the District concerning the medical circumstances that require the leave. Employees may access their earned sick leave during parenting leave up to twelve (12) weeks or the time specified by their physician. Leaves to care for children in excess of twelve (12) weeks that are not medically necessary may qualify as personal leaves of absence.

  • Minimum Hours All employees shall be paid their regular hourly rate for each hour worked except where employed for less than four (4) consecutive hours per day, in which event they shall receive a minimum of four (4) hours pay. An employee who is called for work and upon reporting finds that his or her services are not required shall receive two (2) hours pay.

  • Contract Year A twelve (12) month period during the term of the Agreement commencing on the Effective Date and each anniversary thereof.

  • Paid Holidays – Long Weekends (a) When an employee is scheduled to work a weekend where a paid holiday falls on the Monday or the Friday, the Employer shall endeavour to also schedule the employee to work the paid holiday. (b) When the employee is scheduled off on a weekend where a paid holiday falls on the Monday or the Friday, the Employer shall endeavour to schedule the employee off the paid holiday. (c) In the event of a scheduling conflict, 12.07 (a) will be the deciding provision.

  • Minimum Salaries 12.1 The minimum base salary for all Bargaining Unit members shall be as follows: 12.2 The minima defined in this Article shall apply to AAUP-represented adjuncts on a pro-rated basis proportional to their percent of full- time.
