Occupational Health and Safety Training. Management recognizes the need for training and orientation regarding occupational health and safety, including training on blood borne pathogens, where appropriate, to ensure employee safety and a minimum loss of work time due to injuries. Management will inform all employees of safe working habits and practices appropriate to their job, with special emphasis on orientation of new employees. In addition, supervisors will instruct employees on safe working habits, practices, and procedures in regard to specific job assignments. The Health and Safety Code Handbook (FSH 6709.11), including applicable regional and forest supplements, will be provided to employees upon request.

Although employees are basically qualified to perform their duties, the Agency recognizes the need for specific training and update training regarding Occupational Health and Safety to assure employee safety and a minimum loss of man-hours due to preventable injuries.
2. Employees will be furnished Basic First-Aid Instruction, Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) instruction, and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training as required by their position. Each person who successfully completes a recognized course will receive a certification card.
Occupational Health and Safety Training. 21.02.1 All Committee members may be allowed up to five (5) days leave with pay plus expenses to attend occupational health and safety training courses or seminars. The Committee shall regularly consult the Occupational Health and Safety Branch of the Department of Labour for information with regard to training courses.
Occupational Health and Safety Training. 44.1 An Employee, upon election as a Health and Safety Representative, shall be granted up to five days paid leave, as soon as practicable after election, to undertake an appropriate introductory Health and Safety Representative's course from a training organisation of his or her choice that is approved by the Victorian WorkCover Authority, having regard to course places and the Employer's operations. The Employer shall meet any reasonable costs incurred. Leave under this sub-clause 44.1 must only be granted to an Employee on one occasion and is additional to any other leave granted under this Clause.
44.2 Additional paid leave may be approved for Health and Safety Representatives to attend training approved by the Victorian WorkCover Authority under the Occupational Health and Safety Act 2004 (Vic), which is relevant to the functions of the Designated Work Group.

Occupational Health and Safety representatives shall be given paid leave to attend appropriate Occupational Health and Safety training courses as stipulated in state legislation, and/or as approved by Target and the Union.

Target shall provide induction and on the job training to all team members on Coles Xxxx’x Occupational Health and Safety Policy, particular hazards associated with the job, control measures applicable to these hazards and procedures for reporting and preventing hazards and injuries in the workplace.

When management determines that training is needed in order for employees to be able to accomplish their assigned duties (e.g., Basic First-Aid Instruction, Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) instruction, and Automated External Defibrillator (AED)), such training will be provided to employees at no cost and during regular duty hours. Each person who successfully completes a recognized course will receive a certification card (if applicable).

Employees will be in duty status and will receive per diem and travel expenses in accordance with appropriate regulation.

3. The Agency has the right to determine employee training needs. When the Agency determines that Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) instruction, and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training is needed, it will be provided to employees during regular duty hours.
Occupational Health and Safety Training. 32.1 The Company shall ensure that Employees receive, upon commencement, occupational health and safety training. Furthermore, the Company shall ensure that each Employee is given additional occupational health and safety training at least once in each calendar year.
32.2 One Employee Occupational Health and Safety Representative per site shall be given paid leave to attend OH&S courses, conferences and seminars agreed to by the Company, up to 5 days per year.
