Orientation of New Personnel. Contractor shall ensure that field personnel are properly oriented before being assigned to respond to emergency medical requests. The orientation shall include, at a minimum, an EMS system overview; EMS policies and procedures including patient destination, trauma triage and patient treatment protocols; radio communications with and between the ambulance, base hospital, receiving facilities, and dispatch center; map reading skills, including key landmarks, routes to hospitals and other major receiving facilities; emergency response areas within the County and in surrounding areas; and ambulance equipment utilization and maintenance, in addition to the Contractor’s policies and procedures. Contractor shall be responsible for ensuring that this standard is met. Contractor shall be responsible for providing the pre-accreditation field evaluation phase of the County paramedic accreditation process for its ambulance personnel. Prior to May 1, 2006, Contractor shall submit a new-employee orientation program for approval by the Contract Administrator. Contractor shall notify Contract Administrator in writing of any changes made to program and will submit, as part of Contractor’s Annual Report, a report listing all new employee orientation activities for the preceding twelve (12) months.

Contractor shall provide training in diversity awareness, conflict resolution, and assaultive behavior management. 4. Contractor shall provide patient care documentation education as needed. 5. Contractor shall be responsible for providing the pre-accreditation field evaluation phase of the Agency paramedic accreditation process for its ambulance personnel. 6. Contractor shall notify Contract Administrator in writing of any changes made to the new employee orientation program.

The orientation shall include, at a minimum, EMS system overview; EMS policies and procedures; radio communications with and between SEMSA, base hospital, receiving hospitals, and communications centers; map reading skills (including key landmarks), routes to hospitals and other major receiving facilities, emergency response areas within Lassen County and in surrounding areas; and ambulance equipment utilization and maintenance, in addition to SEMSA policies and procedures. SEMSA shall be responsible for ensuring that this standard is met. I. In-Service Training, Continuing Education and Driver Training 1. SEMSA shall have a program for ensuring personnel are prepared to respond to emergency requests through in-service training, continuing education (CE) and Driver Training. 2. Annually, SEMSA will offer the following courses to its employees in Lassen County:  Healthcare Provider CPR  Fire Extinguisher Safety  Skills Review  STEMI criteria and 12-lead EKG recognition  Hazardous Communications  Blood Borne Pathogens/Infection Control  Call/Run reviews  Nor-Cal EMT-P Advanced Scope of Practice refresher  Nor-Cal EMS Optional Scope of Practice refresher 3. Bi-annually SEMSA will offer the following courses to its employees in Lassen County or on-line:  ACLS initial/refresher  PALS initial/refresher  ITLS initial/refresher  HAZMAT First Responder Awareness  Emergency Vehicle Operator Course  PEPP initial/refresher  AMLS initial/refresher  Infrequent skills review 4. If SEMSA staffs an ambulance with an EMT-P and an EMT-I, SEMSA shall implement a program, to train EMT-I personnel to assist EMT-P in the provision of advanced life support patient care. 5. SEMSA shall maintain an on-going driver-training program for ambulance personnel.
Orientation of New Personnel i. All health care personnel employed by CONTRACTOR will complete the "Orientation for New Employee" form within the first two weeks of employment. This form will cover the outline of the CONTRACTOR Orientation Program. The orientation program has been developed in conjunction with the CONTRACTOR Program Management Team. ii. Each employee will be familiar with every section listed on the "Orientation for New Employee" form and initial each section as it is completed to indicate understanding of that section. This will ensure that each new employee has a thorough understanding and knowledge of their job and what is expected of them as CONTRACTOR employees. iii. All new employees will work with experienced staff prior to working alone in the correctional setting. Each staff member is provided a specific job description.

  • Admission of New Members The Company may admit new Members (or transferees of any interests of existing Members) into the Company by the unanimous vote or consent of the Members. As a condition to the admission of a new Member, such Member shall execute and acknowledge such instruments, in form and substance satisfactory to the Company, as the Company may deem necessary or desirable to effectuate such admission and to confirm the agreement of such Member to be bound by all of the terms, covenants and conditions of this Agreement, as the same may have been amended. Such new Member shall pay all reasonable expenses in connection with such admission, including without limitation, reasonable attorneys’ fees and the cost of the preparation, filing or publication of any amendment to this Agreement or the Articles of Organization, which the Company may deem necessary or desirable in connection with such admission. No new Member shall be entitled to any retroactive allocation of income, losses, or expense deductions of the Company. The Company may make pro rata allocations of income, losses or expense deductions to a new Member for that portion of the tax year in which the Member was admitted in accordance with Section 706(d) of the Internal Revenue Code and regulations thereunder. In no event shall a new Member be admitted to the Company if such admission would be in violation of applicable Federal or State securities laws or would adversely affect the treatment of the Company as a partnership for income tax purposes.   • Notification of New Employer In the event that I leave the employ of the Company, I hereby consent to the notification of my new employer of my rights and obligations under this Agreement.

  • Employee Orientation Each and every person working for a contractor, including sub- contractors, will be given an orientation to familiarize them with the site safety program. Unless otherwise specified, each sub-contractor is responsible for the orientation of their workers.

  • New Hire Orientation The Union’s Business Representative or designee shall be given the opportunity to make a membership presentation at the employer’s regularly scheduled new employee orientation sessions.

  • Review Systems; Personnel It will maintain business process management and/or other systems necessary to ensure that it can perform each Test and, on execution of this Agreement, will load each Test into these systems. The Asset Representations Reviewer will ensure that these systems allow for each Review Receivable and the related Review Materials to be individually tracked and stored as contemplated by this Agreement. The Asset Representations Reviewer will maintain adequate staff that is properly trained to conduct Reviews as required by this Agreement.

  • Substitution of Key Personnel Consultant has represented to City that certain key personnel will perform and coordinate the Services under this Agreement. Should one or more of such personnel become unavailable, Consultant may substitute other personnel of at least equal competence upon written approval of City. In the event that City and Consultant cannot agree as to the substitution of key personnel, City shall be entitled to terminate this Agreement for cause. As discussed below, any personnel who fail or refuse to perform the Services in a manner acceptable to the City, or who are determined by the City to be uncooperative, incompetent, a threat to the adequate or timely completion of the Project or a threat to the safety of persons or property, shall be promptly removed from the Project by the Consultant at the request of the City.   • TRAINING AND EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT 9.1 The Employer and the Union recognize the value and benefit of education and training designed to enhance an employee’s ability to perform their job duties. Training and employee development opportunities will be provided to employees in accordance with Employer policies and available resources. 9.2 Attendance at employer-required training will be considered time worked. The Employer will make reasonable attempts to schedule employer-required training during an employee’s regular work shift. The Employer will pay the registration and associated travel costs in accordance with Article 23, Travel, for employer-required training.

  • Training and Orientation (a) No employee shall be required to work on any job or operate any piece of equipment until he/she has received proper training and instruction. (b) The Employer shall provide sufficient and adequate training and/or orientation to any employee working in a new or unfamiliar work area or position.

  • Orientation The Employer shall provide planned and paid Orientation Programs of such content and duration as it deems appropriate taking into consideration the needs of the Employer and the Nurses involved. Such Nurses will not be considered part of core staffing during their Orientation Program nor will they be provided with primary assignments.

  • New Employee Orientation The Union will provide each agency personnel director with the names and addresses of up to two (2) authorized Union representatives per agency to receive notice of each formal orientation meeting held by the Department. The notice will be sent as soon as such meetings are scheduled (but not less than ten (10) days in advance) and will include date, time and location. Due to operational exigencies, agencies may schedule an orientation which will provide the Union with less than the requisite ten (10) days' notice; however the Union shall be notified as soon as possible after the scheduling of the orientation and the Union representative shall be released from duty. Agencies shall routinely schedule orientations in a manner that will allow for the ten (10) day advance notice to the Union. During the formal orientation, the Union will be permitted to give a twenty (20) minute presentation which may include an enrollment in supplemental Union benefits. The parties shall encourage employee attendance, although attendance shall not be mandatory if an employee objects to attending the presentation. In the event a formal orientation meeting is not held, or the Union is unable to attend the formal orientation because the designated Union representatives cannot be released under Article 4, the Employer shall allow the Union representative and the employee(s) to meet during duty hours at a mutually agreed upon time and location for twenty (20) minutes Employee participation in these meetings shall be encouraged although an employee shall not be required to attend such a meeting.
