Overtime allowances. 1a Overtime work ordered by the employer shall be remunerated by the basic pay and an allowance. For the required to-and fro travel time the employee shall furthermore be remunerated with the normal basic pay pursuant to Item 6.6 below without any allowance; the employee shall furthermore be entitled to a refund of the travel expenses. No “recall” shall be deemed to take place when the employee is notified one day in advance that s/he has to stay in for overtime work on the next day. 6.5 Overtime rendered on public holidays shall be remunerated by the basic pay as per Item 6.6 The basic pay for overtime and overtime allowances shall be calculated – in derogation of 1/165th (a one hundred sixty-fifth part) or 1/156th (a one hundred fifty-sixth part) as set forth in the second sentence of Item 1 of Section 13 below – on the basis of 1/142nd (a one hundred forty-second part) for a 38 (thirty-eight) hour week and 1/134th (a one hundred thirty- fourth part) fo...
Overtime allowances. Entitlement 28.1 Subject to the prerequisites of clause 27.1, shift work will be in accordance with this clause. The normal hours of work of a staff member engaged on shift work must not exceed 35 per week, 38 per week for a staff member employed in the Hospitality stream of University House and Halls of Residence or 40 per week for 12 hour security staff in Facilities and Services Division (normally with start time of 7.00 am/pm and finish time of 7.00pm/am), when averaged over a cycle of shifts. 28.2 Facilities and Services Division security officers working 12 hours shift rosters will undergo a biannual fitness assessment, and annual flu injections. With respect to the above, the University will provide the staff member with not less than two weeks’ notice during their rostered shift that a medical fitness assessment is required, the name and address of the provider, and pay the costs of the medical assessment, tests and any reasonable travelling costs incurred. 28.3 A shift worker is a staff member who is required by the University to work on a regularly rostered basis outside the normal span of hours.
Overtime allowances. 14.01 Overtime at the rate of time and one-half will be paid for all work performed in excess of the regular hours in any day and for any work performed on a Saturday or Sunday. 14.02 Payment for overtime hours by employees shall be calculated on their regular rate of pay. Shift premiums will be added to this amount. Overtime may only be worked when authorized. 14.03 Employees are expected to co-operate with the company in the performance of overtime. When overtime work is required, it will first be offered on a voluntary basis to the employees who normally perform the work, then to qualified employees on the basis of seniority. Should none of the employees mentioned above volunteer to work the required overtime, the company has the right to assign the work to the most junior qualified employee(s).

  • Shift Allowances (a) An Employee whilst on afternoon or night shift must be paid for such shift 15% more than the Employee’s ordinary rate. (b) An Employee who works on an afternoon or night shift which does not continue for at least five successive afternoons or nights must be paid for such shift at time and a half for the first two hours thereof and double time thereafter. (c) An Employee who: (i) during a period of engagement on shift, works night shift only; (ii) remains on night shift for a longer period than four consecutive weeks; or (iii) works on a night shift which does not rotate or alternate with another shift or with day work so as to give the Employee at least one third of their working time off night shift in each shift cycle; must, during such engagement, period or cycle, be paid 30% more than their ordinary rate for all time worked during ordinary working hours on such night shift.

  • Mileage Allowance The state agrees to seek continued funding to provide for the payment of a mileage allowance for the use of privately owned vehicles for official travel at the rate provided in section 112.061(7)(d)1., F.S.

  • Training Allowance Operators who are required by the Employer to provide training to a specified level and to certify to the competency of the employees so trained shall receive twelve dollars ($12) per day while training. In such cases, the most senior qualified operator with the capability to provide training in the required class of equipment shall be given the opportunity to provide such training.

  • Meal Allowances Employees assigned to be in travel status between the employee's temporary or permanent work station and a field assignment shall be reimbursed for the actual cost of meals including a reasonable gratuity. Employees must meet the following conditions to be eligible for meal reimbursement:

  • Travel time allowance All employees shall be paid an allowance (See Appendix A) for each day on which they present themselves for work. The allowance shall also be paid for rostered days off.

  • Overtime Meal Allowance Employees required to work more than two (2) hours overtime consecutive with a shift shall be provided with a meal by the Employer.

  • Cleaning Allowance The University will pay for the cleaning of Department issued uniforms and necessary work clothing requiring cleaning worn by employees assigned to non-uniformed positions.

  • - Separation Allowances (a) Where an employee resigns within 30 days after receiving notice of layoff pursuant to article 9.08(a)(ii) that his or her position will be eliminated, he or she shall be entitled to a separation allowance of two (2) weeks' salary for each year of continuous service to a maximum of twelve (12) weeks' pay, and, on production of receipts from an approved educational program, within twelve (12) months of resignation, may be reimbursed for tuition fees up to a maximum of three thousand ($3,000) dollars. (b) Where an employee resigns later than 30 days after receiving notice pursuant to Article 9.08(a)(ii) that his or her position will be eliminated, he or she shall be entitled to a separation allowance of four (4) weeks' salary, and, on production of receipts from an approved educational program, within twelve (12) months of resignation, may be reimbursed for tuition fees up to a maximum of one thousand two hundred and fifty ($1,250) dollars."

  • Sick Leave Allowance Faculty with a full-time assignment shall accrue sick leave at the rate of eight

  • Overtime Pay ‌ Overtime pay shall be paid to the employee on the next paycheque after the expiration of the pay period in which the overtime was earned except as provided in Article 16.6 (Compensating Time Off) below.
