PAID EMERGENCY SERVICES LEAVE a) An Employee who engages in a voluntary emergency management activity is, in additions to the provisions of the FW Act, entitled to be absent without loss of pay from his or her employment on paid emergency services leave for a total of seven (7) days per annum commencing at the start of each calendar year.
b) An employee’s entitlement to paid emergency services leave does not accumulate from year to year and is not paid out on termination.
c) Where an Employee has accessed either Natural disaster leave or Pandemic related isolation leave in the calendar year, then the entitlement to seven (7) paid days off in the calendar year, will be reduced by the number of paid days the employee has taken off for Natural Disaster leave or Pandemic related isolation leave in the calendar year.
PAID EMERGENCY SERVICES LEAVE. In addition to the unpaid community service leave set out in the NES, at the discretion of the Employer, whose discretion will be exercised on the basis of operational requirements and what is reasonable in a particular circumstance, the Employer will facilitate an Employee who is a member of a voluntary emergency relief organisation such as the Rural Fire Services, Red Cross, St Xxxx Ambulance and the State Emergency Services to be released from normal duty without loss of pay (up to a maximum of three shifts per year) to assist in regard to a critical incident where a local emergency situation arises that requires the attendance of the Employee.

At the discretion of the Employer, whose discretion will be exercised on the basis of operational requirements and what is reasonable in a particular circumstance, the employer will facilitate an employee who is a member of a voluntary emergency relief organisation such as the Rural Fire Services, Red Cross, St Xxxx Ambulance and the State Emergency Services to be released from normal duty without loss of pay (up to a maximum of three shifts per year) to assist in regard to a critical incident where a local emergency situation arises that requires the attendance of the employee.
PAID EMERGENCY SERVICES LEAVE. (i) At the discretion of the Employer, whose discretion will be exercised on the basis of operational requirements and what is reasonable in a particular circumstance, the Employer will facilitate a Nurse Caregiver who is a member of a voluntary emergency relief organisation such as the Rural Fire Services, Red Cross, St Xxxx Ambulance and the State Emergency Services to be released from normal duty without loss of pay (up to a maximum of three shifts per year) to assist in regard to a critical incident where a local emergency situation arises that requires the attendance of the Nurse Caregiver.
PAID EMERGENCY SERVICES LEAVE. At the discretion of the employer, whose discretion will be exercised on the basis of operational requirements and what is reasonable in a particular circumstance, the employer will facilitate an employee who is a member of a voluntary emergency relief organization such as the, Country Fire Authority, Red Cross, St Xxxx Ambulance and the State Emergency Service to be released from normal duty without loss of pay (up to a maximum of three shifts per year) to assist in regard to a critical incident where a local emergency situation arises that requires the attendance of the employee. This is in addition to Community Service Leave provided for by the NES.
PAID EMERGENCY SERVICES LEAVE. (a) In addition to the unpaid community service leave entitlements prescribed in the NES, an Employee who is a member of a recognised voluntary emergency relief organisation (such as the Country Fire Authority, Red Cross, St Xxxx Ambulance and the State Emergency Service) is entitled to be released from duty to engage in a voluntary emergency management activity in accordance with the provisions of the Act, subject to the Employee providing to the Employer:-
(i) prior notice of such attendance (unless this is not practicable due to the nature of the emergency); and
(ii) evidence that would satisfy a reasonable person that the Employee has been or will be engaging in an eligible emergency management activity.
(b) Payment for such attendance shall be restricted to a maximum of three shifts per annum (non-cumulative), at the Employee’s ordinary rate of pay.
(c) Casual Employees shall not be entitled to payment under this clause, but shall still have the right to be absent from work subject to complying with the notice requirements under subclause (a).
PAID EMERGENCY SERVICES LEAVE. (a) Paid Emergency Services leave may be granted to enable full-time and part-time Employees to attend a community service emergency during their ordinary working hours. This applies only to activities which are not regarded as part of the Employee with the Employer and which are not covered by other forms of leave.
(b) Employees who are members of the voluntary emergency organisations are required to provide evidence of their membership prior to being eligible to access this as paid leave.
(c) As soon as practicable, Employees must provide a standard leave form to their manager detailing their attendance at an emergency together with proof of their requirement to attend and the length of absence.
PAID EMERGENCY SERVICES LEAVE. At the discretion of NCRG, whose discretion will be exercised on the basis of operational requirements and what is reasonable in a particular circumstance, NCRG will facilitate a Permanent Employee who is a member of a voluntary emergency relief organisation such as the Red Cross, St Xxxx Ambulance, Rural Fire Authority and the State Emergency Service to be released from duty without loss of pay up to a maximum of two (2) shifts per year to assist in regard to a critical incident where a local emergency situation arises that requires the attendance of the Permanent Employee. This leave is in addition to unpaid community service leave which is available under the NES.
PAID EMERGENCY SERVICES LEAVE. At the discretion of the Employer, whose discretion will be exercised on the basis of operational requirements and what is reasonable in a particular circumstance, the Employer will facilitate an Employee who is a member of a voluntary emergency relief organisation such as the Country Fire Authority, Red Cross, St Xxxx Ambulance and the State Emergency Service to be released from normal duty without loss of pay (up to a maximum of three shifts per year) to assist in regard to a critical incident where a local emergency situation arises that requires the attendance of the Employee. Nothing in this clause 46 affects an Employee’s entitlement to community services leave under the NES.
PAID EMERGENCY SERVICES LEAVE. In addition to NES entitlements relating to community services leave at clause 39, an employee who is a member of a voluntary emergency relief organisation (e.g., Rural Fire Services, Red Cross, St Xxxx Ambulance, State Emergency Services) will be released from normal duty without loss of pay (up to a maximum of five shifts per year) to assist in response to a critical incident or local emergency that requires their attendance, subject to the operational requirements of the hospital.
