Paid Jury Leave. The Employer shall grant a leave of absence without loss of seniority to an Employee who serves as a juror in a court. The Employer shall pay such an Employee her normal earnings for jury services less monies received by the Employee. The Employee will present proof of service and all payments received.

Paid Jury Leave. The Employer shall grant leave-of-absence, without loss of pay or seniority benefits, to an employee who serves as a juror or witness under subpoena in any court. The employee shall remit to the Employer such monies as are received in the course of this duty, save and except travel and meal allowances.
Paid Jury Leave. The Employer shall grant leave of absence without loss of seniority to an employee who serves as a juror in any court. The Employer shall pay such an employee the difference between his normal earnings and the payment he received for jury service excluding payment for travelling, meals and other expenses. The employee will present satisfactory proof of service and the amount received. The employee will be expected to be at work on any days when he is excused as a juror. Time spent by an employee required to serve as a court witness in any matter directly arising out of his duties as an employee shall be considered as time worked at the appropriate rate of pay. The foregoing shall not apply to proceedings between the Employer and the Union and/or any person represented by the Union or in cases of negligence or misconduct by the employee.
Paid Jury Leave. An employee who is off work for jury/subpoena duty shall be paid his/her full salary for such time missed. If an employee is released from jury/subpoena duty prior to the end of his/her regular working day, he/she must contact his/her supervisor for direction for the balance of that working day. The amount the employee is paid for jury/subpoena duty from the court, less any meal or mileage reimbursement, shall be paid to the Board and the employee shall receive his/her regular paycheck.

  • Jury Leave In keeping with the policy that an employee not suffer a loss of pay while serving as a juror, the remuneration to be received by the employee on any working day the employee reports for or serves on jury duty shall be regular rate of pay for the day less jury duty fees receivable for that day.

  • INJURY LEAVE 22.01 When an employee is injured in the line of duty, he shall be eligible for a paid leave not to exceed ninety (90) calendar days per incident. In order to be eligible for injury leave, the employee shall file a Workers Compensation claim for lost wages, i.e., temporary total disability, and shall sign a waiver assigning to the City all sums received by the employee from Workers Compensation for lost wages to a maximum of ninety days or the amount of injury leave benefits advanced by the City. In the event Workers Compensation ultimately denies benefits to the employee, after the employee has exhausted all available appeals and administrative remedies provided under the Worker Compensation Act, then the employee shall reimburse the City one-half (1/2) of the injury leave received through reduction of all accrued leaves, current or future. 22.02 If at the end of this ninety (90) calendar day period the employee is still disabled, the leave may, at the Employers sole discretion, be extended for additional ninety (90) calendar day periods, or parts thereof. 22.03 The Employer shall have the right to require the employee to have a physical exam by a physician appointed and paid by the Employer resulting in the physician's certification that the employee is unable to work due to the injury as a condition precedent to the employee receiving any benefits under this article. The designated physician's opinion shall govern whether the employee is actually disabled or not, and for the period in which the employee is disabled, but shall not govern whether the Employer shall extend the period of leave or if the injury was duty related. If there is a conflict between the employee's and Employers physicians, a third physician shall be consulted whose opinion shall govern. This third physician shall be selected by a mutual agreement between the Employer and the employee, who shall share the costs equally. 22.04 If the attending physician(s) of an employee so certifies that the employee may return to temporary light or temporary restricted duty, the City, at its discretion, and if the City has suitable work for such employee, may assign the employee to light duty work. 22.05 All employees are subject to the City's Transitional Work Program Policy.

  • Paid Personal Leave A. During the first full pay period in each January, persons employed as of September 1, 2011 will be credited annually with paid personal leave credits at the following rate (including such employees laid off and subsequently recalled): Scheduled Hours per Week Personal Leave Credits 37.5 hours per week 37.500 hours 40.0 hours per week 40.000 hours B.   • Unpaid Personal Leave Where an employee has exhausted all paid personal leave entitlements, they are entitled to take unpaid personal leave to care for members of their immediate family or household who are sick and require care and support or who require care due to an unexpected emergency. The employer and the employee shall agree on the period. In the absence of agreement, the employee is entitled to take up to two days (up to a maximum of 16 hours) of unpaid leave per occasion, provided the requirements of 7.2.5(a) and 7.2.5(b) are met.

  • Extended Personal Leave Leave without pay for up to one (1) year may be granted to a teacher provided said teacher has been actively employed for five (5) continuous contract years preceding the granting of this leave and has not been granted an extended part-time leave within that period.   • STATUTORY LEAVES OF ABSENCE/SEB C11.1 Family Medical Leave or Critically Ill Child Care Leave a) Family Medical Leave or Critically Ill Child Care leaves granted to a permanent teacher or long-term occasional teacher under this Article shall be in accordance with the provisions of the Employment Standards Act, as amended. b) The teacher will provide to the employer such evidence as necessary to prove entitlement under the Employment Standards Act. c) A teacher contemplating taking such leave(s) shall notify the employer of the intended date the leave is to begin and the anticipated date of return to active employment. d) Seniority and experience continue to accrue during such leave(s). e) Where a teacher is on such leave(s), the Employer shall continue to pay its share of the benefit premiums, where applicable. To maintain participation and coverage under the Collective Agreement, the teacher must agree to provide payment for the teacher’s share of the benefit premiums, where applicable. f) In order to receive pay for such leaves, a teacher must access Employment Insurance and the Supplemental Employment Benefit (SEB) in accordance with g) to j), if allowable by legislation. An employee who is eligible for E.I. is not entitled to benefits under a school board’s sick leave and short term disability plan. g) The Employer shall provide for permanent teachers and long-term occasional teachers who access such Leaves, a SEB plan to top up their E.

  • Military Leaves of Absence The provisions of the Military and Veterans Code of the State of California shall govern military leave of County employees.
