Part-Time Bus Drivers. Definition: Bus Drivers who are guaranteed not less than twenty (20) hours per week during the conventional school year. Drivers are required to work K-8 student non-contact days during the conventional school year to include (2) practice days and (1) in-service training day. Drivers are not required to work K-12 non-contact days. This time could be used for certification classes or other duties offered by the operations department.
Part-Time Bus Drivers. (a) Part-time Bus Drivers will be guaranteed a minimum of four (4) hours per day, five (5) days per week, for ten (10) months in each calendar year. Notwithstanding the above, part-time employees shall exercise their seniority as per Article V, provided, however, that regular job incumbents are not displaced. (b) The Transportation Supervisor, with the voluntary cooperation of the individual employees, may utilize on an accrued basis, the time differential on a daily basis between the employees pre-determined route time and their guaranteed minimum daily rate, as provided by their posting. The utilization of this time may be used on a weekly schedule.
Part-Time Bus Drivers. Part-time bus drivers shall be used for extra-curricular activities, using the senior part-time bus driver first until all part-time bus drivers have been offered an equivalent of eighty (80) hours pay bi-weekly at which time, the senior bus driver shall be used. No bus driver shall be permitted to work in excess of an equivalent of eighty (80) hours bi-weekly (unless to complete an extra-curricular activity) pay until all part-time drivers have been offered an equivalent of eighty (80) hours pay bi-weekly. When the offering of an extra-curricular activity to a part-time bus driver could result in the driver having in excess of eighty (80) hours pay bi- weekly, the driver shall have the option of either: (a) accepting the extra-curricular activity and taking time off to comply with Article 25.05, or (b) rejecting the extra-curricular activity. The option described above shall be subject to the availability of a qualified driver to replace the part-time driver for the regular part-time hours.

  • Part-Time Nurse is a Nurse hired to a position to work on a regular or temporary basis that is less than the work period of a Full-Time Nurse.

  • Part-Time Teachers A "part-time teacher" is one who is employed under written contract but who is assigned to duties on a regular basis that requires less than a full-time equivalent. A part-time teacher shall be paid a salary in accordance with the basic salary schedule, proportionate to the percentage of the full-time equivalent taught each day as outlined in the written contract.

  • Permanent Part-Time Employees (1) Pay and benefits will be computed on a prorated monthly or pay period basis, such as one-half (½) monthly or pay period pay for a half-time employee, or pay will be computed on an hourly basis, and pay and benefits will be normally prorated on a pay period, pay status basis. Permanent part-time employees in permanent full-time positions will be treated as permanent part-time for purposes of this Article. (2) Employees paid on a fixed partial monthly basis shall have all extra hours worked over the regular part-time schedule paid at the hourly rate.   • Part-time Scheduling Subject to Section B of this Article, the Employer and the Association endorse the principle that less than full time equivalent ("FTE") positions shall, within reason, be expected to work a biweekly work period that equates to an eighty (80) hour work period multiplied by the position's FTE. It is further understood by both parties that ASF Members assigned to less than a FTE position may be required, during the peak work periods, to exceed their normal biweekly work period.   • Part-Time and Temporary Employees 16.1. A part-time employee is one who is hired to work regularly twenty-four (24) hours per week or less. Except as expressly provided in the circumstances described in Article 16 (3) hereunder, a temporary employee is one employed for a special project or a specified time, in either case, not to exceed three (3) months except by mutual agreement, or in the case of students, the academic vacation period, or for a specified leave of absence. The Employer shall notify the employee and the CAW of the nature and anticipated duration of all temporary employment. 16.2. Neither part-time nor temporary employees shall be employed where such employment would eliminate or displace a regular or full-time employee. The Company will continue its practice of only hiring part-time or temporary employees when it deems it impractical to hire a full-time employee. 16.3. Notwithstanding Article 16 (1) above, temporary employees may be employed to replace regular employees who are absent due to illness, injury, maternity or other leave of absence to a maximum of twelve (12) months. The period of employment of the temporary employee will cease when the regular employee on leave returns to work or when the regular employee on leave informs the Company and the CAW in writing that he/she will not be returning to work. In any event, temporary employees hired pursuant to this Article 16 (3) shall not be employed for more than twelve (12) months except by mutual agreement in writing. 16.4. A part-time employee shall be paid on an hourly basis equivalent to the weekly minimum salary provided for the employee's classification and experience. 16.5. A part-time employee shall advance on the schedule of minimum salaries and shall receive all benefits that depend on length of service according to the length of his/her employment with the Employer, according to actual hours worked, based on a 1,600-hour year. 16.6. Temporary employees shall be paid an hourly rate consistent with the minimum weekly salary provided for their classification and experience. 16.7. Part-time and temporary employees shall be covered by all provisions of this Agreement, except as provided otherwise. 16.8. In the event of a part-time or temporary employee becoming a full-time employee, he/she shall be credited with the length of his/her employment with the Employer, according to actual hours worked, based on a 1,600-hour year.
