Pay in Lieu of Holidays. Whether or not an employee works on any of the Holidays set out in Article 17, he shall receive in lieu of paid Holidays, four percent (4%) of his total gross wages, exclusive of overtime earned in the calendar year. The employee shall be paid this amount not later than the 31st day of December of the calendar year or upon termination of his employment whichever day is the earlier. In the event the Government of Manitoba enacts a General Holiday for February, the above-noted percentage shall be raised to four and a half per cent (4.5%).
Pay in Lieu of Holidays. Any employee may elect to take any of the holidays as compensation at the straight time rate at eight and one half (8½) hours per holiday payable the first regular pay period in December or to be paid during the employee’s short weeks. If the employee wishes to cash-in their holidays and have them paid out through the year, the employee must make the determination at a time designated by the Police Chief.
Pay in Lieu of Holidays. Any employee may elect to take holidays as compensation at the straight time rate. Any holidays not yet taken shall be payable the first regular pay period in December.
Pay in Lieu of Holidays. In lieu of the nine (9) holidays listed in Section 1(a) of this Article, each employee in a classification not listed in the second sentence of this Section shall have the equivalent of six (6) hours of pay per month contributed to the employee’s HRA established under Article 16.4 of this Agreement. Office, transport, community corrections staff and evidence technician are ordinarily not scheduled to work on holidays and are not eligible for the six (6) hours of HRA holiday pay. For employees on “no-pay” status or who end their employment at the County this benefit shall be pro-rated.
Pay in Lieu of Holidays. Whether or not an employee works on any of the Holidays under Article 17, he shall receive in lieu of paid Holidays, four percent (4%) of his standard hourly rate for each hour worked. The employee shall be paid this allowance at the time and under the conditions set forth in the Employment Standards Code.
Pay in Lieu of Holidays. Deputy Sheriff’s may receive pay-in-lieu of holiday standings to their credit on a daily basis up to a maximum of eight (8) days. Those employees may also be compensated for the remaining one (1) holiday standing to their credit if such request are approved by the Sheriff. Holiday rates shall be the same as personal leave day rates.
Pay in Lieu of Holidays. An Employee who is scheduled to work a normal week, regardless of holiday, will be paid by the seventh day of December, at the Employee’s current regular rate of pay, for the number of holidays since the previous December 15. If the Employee works less than a full year, then the holiday pay will be prorated to reflect only the holidays which occurred while the Employee was employed by the Employer. Employees shall not have holiday pay reduced due to scheduling, sick days, vacation, or other paid leave.
