Pay in Lieu of Holidays. Whether or not an employee works on any of the Holidays set out in Article 17, he shall receive in lieu of paid Holidays, four percent (4%) of his total gross wages, exclusive of overtime earned in the calendar year. The employee shall be paid this amount not later than the 31st day of December of the calendar year or upon termination of his employment whichever day is the earlier. In the event the Government of Manitoba enacts a General Holiday for February, the above-noted percentage shall be raised to four and a half per cent (4.5%).

Pay in Lieu of Holidays. Any employee may elect to take any of the holidays as compensation at the straight time rate at eight and one half (8½) hours per holiday payable the first regular pay period in December or to be paid during the employee’s short weeks. If the employee wishes to cash-in their holidays and have them paid out through the year, the employee must make the determination at a time designated by the Police Chief.

Pay in Lieu of Holidays. An Employee who is scheduled to work a normal week, regardless of holiday, will be paid by the seventh day of December, at the Employee’s current regular rate of pay, for the number of holidays since the previous December 15. If the Employee works less than a full year, then the holiday pay will be prorated to reflect only the holidays which occurred while the Employee was employed by the Employer. Employees shall not have holiday pay reduced due to scheduling, sick days, vacation, or other paid leave.

  • Annual Holidays (i) On completion of 12 months continuous service an employee shall be entitled to annual paid leave of 4 working weeks.

  • Additional Holidays Every day declared by the President, or the Governor of this State, as a public fast, mourning, thanksgiving, or holiday, or any day declared by the Governing Board under Education Code Section 45203 shall be a paid holiday for all employees in the bargaining unit.

  • Legal Holidays In any case where the date on which any payment is due shall not be a Business Day, then (notwithstanding any other provision of the Notes or this Indenture) payment need not be made on such date, but may be made on the next succeeding Business Day with the same force and effect as if made on the date on which nominally due, and no interest shall accrue for the period from and after any such nominal date.
