PAYCHECK DEDUCTIONS. Each Employer agrees to deduct from each bargaining unit employee’s pay all authorized dues, fees, and assessments as determined or required by the Union. Each Employer shall make such deductions from the employee's paycheck following receipt of written authorization, and periodically thereafter as specified on the written authorization, so long as such authorization is in effect, and shall remit the same to the local Union within fifteen (15) days after the end of each pay period. The Union will furnish all the membership forms necessary to be used for this written authorization and will notify each Employer in writing of dues, fees, or assessments to be assessed within five (5) days of execution of this Agreement, and thirty (30) days before the effective date of any change. Each Employer reserves the right to ensure that the authorization of payroll deductions complies with applicable Federal and State laws regarding deductions from wages. Each Employer may require an additional authorization form as per its policies and procedures, to confirm the specific authorization for continued paycheck deduction. The Union will hold harmless each Employer against any claim or obligation which may be made by any employee by reason of the deduction of Union membership fees, including the cost of defending against such claim or obligation.

PAYCHECK DEDUCTIONS. 1. If docking for a pay period exceeds one (1) day's pay during any one (1) pay period, the entire amount to be deducted shall be taken out at a rate not to exceed one (1) day per pay unless the docking is for an approved unpaid leave for recreational/vacation purposes, in which case the entire amount will be deducted from the current pay. 2. Any errors will be uniformly deducted over remaining pays.

In addition to electronic scanned copies of paper authorizations from the Union, the Employer shall accept copies of electronic signatures and give full force and effect to such authorizations as “written authorization” for purposes of this Agreement. The Union will indemnify the Employer and hold it harmless from any claims, demands, damages or liabilities that may result from the Union’s failure to provide accurate information regarding Union membership and/or “written authorizations,” including the cost of defending against such claim or obligation. The Employer may require an additional authorization form as per its policies and procedures, to confirm the specific authorization for continued paycheck deduction. PAYCHECK DEDUCTIONS. A. The Committee agrees to deduct monies from the salaries of teachers for the following purposes: 1. Dues to the Frontier Teachers Association, National Education Association, and Massachusetts Teachers Association. 2. Appropriate premium deductions for medical and dental insurance, Unum Disability Insurance, etc., when so authorized. 3. Amounts authorized by a teacher who is participating in a tax sheltered annuity plan authorized by Federal Law. 4. Deductions in amounts authorized by the teacher to the Franklin First Federal Credit Union, Trustmark, or other financial institution, within five (5) business days of each payroll check. 5. Each employee may participate in a District-offered Flexible Spending Account. The District will pay the administration cost for setup and the ongoing maintenance fee, and the employees will pay the individual participant fees. B. Such deductions, upon individual authorization, will be paid directly to the directed account by the Treasurer of the School District. C. Dues deduction authorization forms and other appropriate forms will be designated and submitted by the Association to the Committee for approval.

PAYCHECK DEDUCTIONS. (a) The Company will continue making the credit union payroll deductions. (b) The employer agrees to deduct and transmit to BCTGM-PAC, $ (an amount specified by the employee) per pay period, from the wages of those employees who voluntarily authorize such contributions on the forms provided for that purpose by the BCTGM Locals. These transmittals shall occur for each payroll period and shall be accompanied by a list of the names of those employees for whom such deductions have been made and the amount deducted for each such employee.
