P.E.O.P.L.E. Check-off. The Employer agrees to deduct from the wages of any employee who is a member of the Union a P.E.O.P.L.E. deduction as provided for in a written authorization. Such authorization must be executed by the employee and may be revoked by the employee at any time by giving written notice to both the Employer and Union. The Employer agrees to remit any deductions made pursuant to this provision promptly to the Union together with an itemized statement showing the name of each employee from whose pay such deductions have been made and the amount deducted during the period covered by the remittance.
P.E.O.P.L.E. Check-off. The City agrees to check-off employee deductions to Public Employees Organized to Promote Legislative Equality (PEOPLE).
P.E.O.P.L.E. Check-off. Upon receipt from the Union of individual written authorization cards, voluntarily executed by an employee, the Employer will deduct voluntary contributions to the AFSCME International Union's P.E.O.P.L.E. (Public Employees Organized to Promote Legislative Equality) Committee from the pay of bargaining unit members. P.E.O.P.L.E. deductions will be subject to the following conditions:
P.E.O.P.L.E. Check-off. The Employer will deduct voluntary contributions to the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employee International Union’s Public Employees Organization to Promote Legislative Equality (PEOPLE) Committee from the pay of an employee upon receipt from the Union of an individual written authorization card voluntarily executed by the employee. The contribution amount will be certified to the Employer by the Union. Monies deducted shall be remitted to the Union within fifteen (15) days of the date they are deducted. Payment shall be made to the Treasurer of PEOPLE and transmitted to AFSCME, AFL-CIO, P.O. Box 65334, Washington, D.C. 20035. The payment will be accompanied by an alphabetical list of names of those employees for whom a deduction was made and the amount of the deduction. This list must be separate from the list of employees who had union dues deducted and the list of employees who had fair share fees deducted. An employee shall have the right to revoke such authorization by giving written notice to the Employer and the Union at any time. The Employer’s obligation to make deductions shall terminate automatically upon receipt of revocation of authorization or upon termination of employment or transfer to a job classification outside of the bargaining unit. All PEOPLE contributions shall be made as a deduction separate from the dues and fair share fee deductions.

The Employer will deduct voluntary contributions to the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees International Union’s Public Employees Organization to Promote Legislative Equality (PEOPLE) Committee from the pay of an employee upon receipt from the Union of an individual‘s written authorization card voluntarily executed by the employee.
Section 27.2. The contribution amount will be certified to the Employer by the Union. Monies deducted shall be remitted to the Union within five (5) to fifteen (15) days of the date they are deducted. Payment shall be made to the treasurer of PEOPLE and transmitted to AFSCME, AFL- CIO, and P.O. BOX 65334, WASHINGTON, D.C. 20035. The payment will be accompanied by an alphabetical list of names of those employees for whom a deduction was made and the amount of the deduction.
Section 27.3. An employee shall have the right to revoke such authorization by giving written notice at any time to the Union which in turn shall notify the Employer. The Employer’s obligation to make deductions shall terminate automatically upon:
A. Receipt by the Employer of revocation of authorization, or
B. Upon termination of employment, or
C. Transfer to a classification outside the bargaining unit. All PEOPLE contributions shall be made as a deduction separate from dues deductions and fair share deductions.

Such authorization must be executed by the employee and may be revoked by the employee at any time by giving written notice to both the Employer and the Union. The Employer agrees to remit any deductions made pursuant to this provision promptly to the Union together with an itemized statement showing the name of each employee from whose pay such deductions have been made and the amount deducted during the period covered by the remittance. The Union agrees to hold the Employer harmless from any claims arising as a result of any deduction made pursuant to this Article and Section.

P.E.O.P.L.E. Check-off. The District agrees to deduct from the wages of any employee who is a member of the Union a P.E.O.P.L.E. deduction as provided for in a written authorization. Such authorization must be executed by the employee and may be revoked by the employee at any time by giving written notice to both the District and the Union. The District agrees to remit any deductions made pursuant to this provision promptly to the Union together with an itemized statement showing the name of each employee from whose pay such deductions have been made and the amount deducted from the period covered by the remittance. By allowing voluntary employee payroll deductions for the purpose of supporting AFSCME’s PEOPLE campaign, AFSCME and employees of this bargaining unit (Local 3846) hereby acknowledge that the Fraser Public Schools does not in any manner support, condone, or endorse this political action committee nor any of its policies, platforms, or candidates either now or throughout the duration of this current collective bargaining agreement. AFSCME and Local 3846 agree to indemnify and hold harmless the District from all liability, claims, damages and expenses arising from any allegation or action that implementation of the check-off authorization/procedure above is unlawful or otherwise improper.
P.E.O.P.L.E. Check-off. The City will deduct voluntary contributions to the Union’s Public Employees Organized to Promote Legislative Equality (PEOPLE) Fund from the pay of an employee upon receipt from the Union of an individual written authorization card voluntarily executed by the employee. All dues collected shall be sent to AFSCME Maryland Council 3 no later than the fourteenth day of the succeeding month after such deductions are made. An employee shall have the right to revoke such authorization by giving written notice to the City and the Union at any time.

(3) An employee shall have the right to revoke such authorization by giving written notice at any time to the Union which in turn shall notify the employer.
(4) The employer’s obligation to make deductions shall terminate automatically upon (a) receipt by the employer of revocation of authorization; (b) termination of employment; or (c) transfer to a classification outside of the bargaining unit.
(5) All PEOPLE contributions shall be made as a deduction separate from dues deductions.
