Policy Revisions. 59. To promote clarity and to provide officers with the necessary guidance, MPD will reorganize Volume Five – Code of Conduct and Use of Force of the MPD Policy and Procedure Manual to provide separate policies or distinct provisions regarding: a. General guidance on use of force. MPD will clearly identify that the Department and its officers value the sanctity of life and the dignity of all people, the standards for the authority to use force, guiding principles, duty to de-escalate and duty to use tactics to avoid the necessity of force, and the duty to intervene; b. Permitted and Prohibited Uses of Force. MPD will clearly define and describe each force option and/or weapon and the circumstances under which such force is appropriate and consistent with potential types of resistance, and under what circumstances each force option is prohibited; c. Reporting of force, review of uses of force, force investigations, and accountability in accordance with this Agreement, including the Accountability section; and d. Crowd control, civil disturbance, and protest and demonstration activities. 60. The use of force policies will be rewritten and reorganized so that the policies provide clear and comprehensive guidance for officers and so that MPD can clearly enforce those policies. While some provisions of the use of force policies currently in Volume Five – Code of Conduct and Use of Force of the MPD Policy and Procedure Manual may include policy objectives consistent with this Agreement, the policies may need to be rewritten for clarity, usability, enforceability, and formatting pursuant to the terms of this Agreement. MPD will revise all other Volumes of the Policy and Procedure Manual necessary to be consistent with this Agreement and with the revised use of force policies.

Policy Revisions. The Parties acknowledge that the City has recently undertaken and continues to undertake important changes to its accountability and oversight systems. The provisions in this Agreement are intended to continue to build on these changes. The City’s accountability and oversight policies and procedures must comply with all applicable laws and this Agreement, and promote trust between MPD, the City, and the communities they serve.
Policy Revisions. The Superintendent agrees to provide the Association with up-to-date revisions of the Board's policy manual as soon as is practicable after adoption by the Board. The Superintendent will forward all minutes of School Board Meetings to the local Association president, within a timely fashion.

The Town and MPD agree to comply with Title VI, the Safe Streets Act, and their implementing regulations and to provide meaningful access to all individuals in encounters with the police department regardless of their national origin or limited ability to speak, read, write, or understand English. The Town and MPD will take reasonable steps to ensure that they communicate effectively with LEP persons in the language(s) in which they are proficient. 2. The attached Language Assistance Plan [Attachment A] is incorporated by reference as part of this MOA and will be adopted upon the effective date of the MOA. The Town and the MPD will take the following steps: a. Distribution of the Language Assistance Plan to all staff, employees, officers, and managers in the Town and MPD; b. Distribution of the Town and MPD’s Language Assistance Plan to a variety of community organizations serving LEP communities, including, but not limited to, those serving LEP individuals who speak Spanish and other LEP communities served or encountered by MPD; and c. Translation of the Language Assistance Policy Statement into Spanish and other languages as appropriate, and posting of the English and translated versions in a public area of the police department building, Town Hall, and the U.S. Post Office lobby. Within 30 days of the effective date of this MOA, the Town and MPD will provide DOJ with a record of the actions described in paragraphs a, b, and c above.

Policy Revisions. 11.11.1 If the Company, or any Bargaining Unit within Sunwing Airlines increases any Maternity or Parental benefits above those listed in this article, those benefits will supersede and replace the current benefits within this article.
Policy Revisions. A. The District will review and revise, as necessary, its restraint policies and regulations to: i. Take into account the Department’s “Restraint and Seclusion: Resource Document” and the Department’s “Restraint and Seclusion of Students with Disabilities Dear Colleague Letter;” ii. Narrowly limit when, how, and by whom prone restraints may be used; iii. Include data collection (see Term V below); and iv. Include a grievance process for students, parents, and guardians to use when they believe the policies and regulations have been violated (see Term VI below). B. If, before June 15, 2017, a state law or a state regulation is adopted that affects the terms of the policy, OCR will work with the District to modify, as necessary, the relevant provisions in Part I(A) of this Agreement. C. By July 15, 2017, the District will submit to OCR for feedback a draft of its revised policies and regulations. D. The District will promptly and fully address feedback from OCR until it receives OCR’s final approval of the revised policies and procedures. E. Within sixty (60) calendar days of OCR’s final approval of the revised policies and procedures, the District will adopt, publish, and disseminate the revised policies and procedures. i. Publication will include, but will not necessarily be limited to, the District’s “Special Education” website and its “Board of Education Policies and Procedures.” ii. The revised policies and procedures will be disseminated directly to all staff and all parents and guardians of students in all schools and programs specifically designed for students with intensive affective needs (“AN-I schools and programs”).
Policy Revisions. If it has not already done so by the date of Preliminary Approval, NMSU will revise its leave policy #7.20.75(A)(10) in a manner that does not restrict the use of paid leave for pregnancy-related medical conditions to a time period that is less than the time available for any other short-term medical conditions, and remove the language from policy #7.20.75(A)(10) suggesting that sick leave is only available for adoption or placement of a child from xxxxxx care when the child is under the age of 5, and remove the requirement that pregnancy-related medical leave or leave for adoption or xxxxxx care placement must be taken within 12 weeks of the birth or placement of the child.
