Posting of Shift Schedules. The Employer agrees to post shift schedules at least two (2) weeks in advance and that there will be no change in the posted shift schedules except with the consent of the employee(s), or in the event of an emergency or as provided in Article C1.06.

Posting of Shift Schedules. Shift schedules shall be posted not less than twenty-eight (28) calendar days in advance. When a change is made in the Regular Employee's scheduled work days the Employee shall be informed and the change shall be recorded on the shift schedule. When such change is made with less than seven (7) calendar days' notice, the Regular Employee shall be paid at one point five times (1.5X) the Basic Rate of Pay for all hours worked on the first (1st) shift of the changed schedule.

(b) When the Employer requires an employee who is regularly scheduled to work Monday through Friday, to work on a weekend as part of her regular bi-weekly hours the Employer shall make every reasonable effort to provide the employee with four (4) weeks notice, but in any case not less than two (2) weeks notice of the weekend work.

In the event of an act of God or emergency such as fire, flood or other circumstances beyond the control of the Employer, the three (3) day notice period will not apply.

The College may introduce an emergency shift change providing they give the employee twenty-four (24) hours' notice and providing the employee approves the change. (c) If, in the course of a posted schedule, the Employer changes a regular Employee’s scheduled start time and/or end time with less than forty- eight (48) hours notice, the Employee shall be paid at two times (2X) their Basic Rate of Pay for hours worked outside of the originally scheduled hours. (d) The Employer shall allow a Representative of the Union to reproduce a copy of the posted shift schedule.

Posting of Shift Schedules. (a) The Employer agrees to post shift schedules of a four (4) week duration at least four (4) weeks prior to the expiry of the posted schedule. The Employer shall make every reasonable effort not to change shifts. Employees may request to exchange shifts as provided for in Article 13.04. (b) If the Employer changes both the start and end times of a shift with less than 24 hours notice the affected employee shall be paid at the rate of one and one-half (1.5x) times her regular hourly rate for the shift. The Employer agrees to discuss with the Union any excessive changes to posted schedules. This Article shall not apply to casual employees unless they are in a short or long assignment.
