Pro-Rated Benefits. If a member is on paid leave for a portion of a pay period and on unpaid leave for the rest of that pay period, the cost of benefits shall be prorated, with the District paying the costs during the time of paid leave. The member may elect to pay the cost of benefits for the time of unpaid leave either in cash directly to the District or may elect to have that cost deducted from his/her subsequent paychecks.

(a) The Hospital agrees to contribute on behalf of the employee: seventy-five percent (75%) of the cost for eligible benefits to employees working regularly more than twenty-two point five (22.5) hours and not more than twenty-seven point five (27.5) hours per week; eighty-five percent (85%) of the cost of eligible benefits to employees working regularly more than twenty-seven point five (27.5) hours and not more than thirty-five (35) hours per week; one hundred percent (100%) of the cost of eligible benefits to employees working regularly more than thirty-five (35) hours per week. The eligible benefits for this category are: Sick Leave and Statutory Holiday Pay not covered under the Employment Standards Act. (b) The Hospital agrees to contribute on behalf of the employees: (1) thirty-eight percent (38%) of the cost for eligible benefits to employees working regularly more than twenty-two point five (22.5) hours and not more than twenty-seven point five (27.5) hours per week; (2) forty-four percent (44%) of the cost of eligible benefits to employees working regularly more than twenty-seven point five (27.5) hours and not more than thirty-five (35) hours per week; (3) seventy-five percent (75%) of the cost of eligible benefits to employees working regularly more than thirty-five (35) hours per week. The eligible benefits for this category are: Extended Health Care and the Dental Plan. (c) The Hospital agrees to contribute on behalf of the employees: (1) fifty-six percent (56%) of the cost of eligible benefits to employees working regularly more than twenty-two point five (22.5) hours and not more than twenty-seven point five (27.5) hours per week; (2) sixty-four percent (64%) of the cost of eligible benefits to employees working regularly more than twenty-seven point five (27.5) hours and not more than thirty-five (35) hours per week; (3) seventy-five percent (75%) of ...
