Purpose of the Memorandum of Understanding. The purpose of this MoU is to enhance the cooperation between the Agencies in order to ensure coherence in scientific methods and opinions and to develop synergies and share knowledge on matters of mutual interest through increased cooperation and, in particular, through active information exchange.

The Authorities intend to cooperate with the aim of encouraging and enabling innovation in their respective financial services industries and of supporting Financial Innovators in meeting the Regulations in each other’s jurisdictions as may be required to offer Innovative Financial Services in the respective financial markets. To this end, they have established or will establish a specific FinTech-friendly environment and designate FinTech functions, as set forth below.
2. The Authorities believe that by cooperating with each other, innovation in financial services, consumer or investor protection and subsequently competitiveness will be enhanced in their respective markets.
3. Enhanced cooperation between the Authorities is intended to facilitate Financial Innovators to enter and provide Innovative Financial Services in the other jurisdiction.
Purpose of the Memorandum of Understanding. 1.4.1 This MOU will set the parameters for delivery of the project by MOD working in Public / Public Partnership (PPP) with RCC. The partnerships intention is to develop and deliver against an agreed masterplan for the site that will assist the MOD to maximise its capital xxxxxxx.xx the context of the development of a sustainable community. The MOU and Partnership will also allow both RCC and MOD to clearly set out to a pre-agreed formula the intended benefits of their financial inputs (see section 11).
1.4.2 The MOU will also clarify the agreement between Rutland County Council (RCC) and the Ministry of Defence (MOD) about the key aspects of the project i.e. formalising the working arrangements, key outcomes and deliverables.
Purpose of the Memorandum of Understanding. The purpose of this Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) is to provide information about the relationships between the partners regarding their respective roles, duties, obligations, responsibilities, and expectations regarding the operation of the Nineteen Tribal Nations ARIZONA@WORK Centers consistent with WIOA Section 121(c). The MOU is also intended to contribute to a cooperative and mutually beneficial relationship between the Nineteen Tribal Nations Workforce Development Board (NTNWDB) and the four Core Partners to coordinate resources to prevent duplication and ensure the effective delivery of workforce services, and to establish joint processes and procedures that will enable partners to integrate the current service delivery system resulting in a seamless and comprehensive array of job matching, education, support services, job training, and other workforce development services. Parties to this document intend to coordinate and perform the activities and services described herein within the scope of legislative requirements governing the parties’ respective programs, services and agencies.
Purpose of the Memorandum of Understanding. The Purpose of this agreement is the coordination of core services provided to residents of the Brazos Valley in accordance with the Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act and state legislation. The agreement will facilitate the provision of effective, efficient and quality services for participants in workforce development activities, and establishes guidelines for the coordination of assessment, education, and training and employment services within the Brazos Valley Region. Additionally, this agreement establishes guidelines for the exchange of client information pertinent to accessing resources or establishing eligibility.
Purpose of the Memorandum of Understanding. (MOU)
2.1. The purpose of the MOU is to formalise the working relationship and expectations relating to the payments of grants for the SEND and AP Change Programme between DfE and CPP Lead LAs.
2.2. Lead LAs are to undertake the activities in accordance with the expectations of this MOU.
2.3. Where there is a joint leadership model, one LA will lead on finances and the remaining responsibilities, as outlined in this MOU, will be shared amongst the partnership. For the purposes of this MOU the LA with financial responsibilities will be referred to as a Lead LA.
Purpose of the Memorandum of Understanding. 1.1 The provisions of this Memorandum are intended to describe the manner and extent to which DPTI and EPLGA will work together for the purpose of exploring opportunities and collaborating in the area of road maintenance delivery.
1.2 This Memorandum records the current level of understanding between DPTI and EPLGA and is a record of their intentions in respect of the issues described in this Memorandum.
1.3 DPTI and EPLGA agree that clause 3 and clause 5 only are contractually binding and no other clause imposes any legal liability or obligation on DPTI or LPGA.
1.4 DPTI and EPLGA also agree that this Memorandum does not constitute any offer or invitation which is capable of acceptance.
Purpose of the Memorandum of Understanding. 1.1 This Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) updates the first MOU dated August 2013 between Blackpool Council, Fylde Council, Wyre Council (to be referred to as the Fylde Coast Authorities (FCAs) for the purpose of this MOU) and Lancashire County Council (LCC).
1.2 This update refreshes the evidence base; the strategic issues, in particular with reference to housing and transport matters; the governance arrangements; and also includes some minor textual changes to improve clarity.
1.3 The MOU provides for those strategic planning issues which require cross boundary co- operation and collaboration to ensure the requirements of the Government’s ‘Duty to Cooperate’ are met and that the local plans of the FCAs are sustainable, deliverable and found ‘sound’ at examination. It formalises the ongoing dialogue and co-operation that currently exists between the four authorities.
1.4 The MOU will also guide the approach that the FCAs and LCC take with respect to responding to strategic planning applications and nationally significant infrastructure projects.
1.5 The following sections of the MOU provide: Context on the Government’s requirement regarding the Duty to Cooperate; Background on the Fylde Coast Peninsula and its geographical and economic characteristics; Cross Boundary Issues - highlighting strategic areas of agreement, including existing co operation and collaboration between the FCAs and LCC and areas for continued and future co-operation, to fulfil the Duty to Co-operate; Governance arrangements.
Purpose of the Memorandum of Understanding. 1.1 This Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been drafted to set out the agreed principles and practices that will apply to the working relationship between the Department for Levelling Up, Housing & Communities (DLUHC) and Local authority!!!! regarding delivery of the Waking Watch Replacement Fund.
1.2 The Waking Watch Replacement Fund is a £27 million fund to pay for the costs of installing a Common Fire Alarm System in eligible residential buildings with Waking Watch in place. Common Fire Alarm Systems will enable costly Waking Watch measures to be reduced or removed in the buildings. The fund will be for the benefit of leaseholders in buildings over or under 18m with Waking Watch by reducing the ongoing costs for Waking Watch services and avoiding the need for them to meet the upfront capital costs of the installation of fire alarms. 1.3 The fund is predicated on alarms being installed at pace to alleviate the financial burdens on leaseholders. The eligibility and evidential criteria have been designed to enable quick assessments and decision making in order to provide funding as quickly as possible. There is, however, the need to balance the requirement for speedy decision making and release of funds with our collective responsibility to ensure that public funding is being used appropriately.
1.4 While this is not a legal or binding agreement, all parties are committed to honouring it. The MoU sets out the agreed monitoring arrangements and responsibilities, accountability, governance structures and financial arrangements of the project. The agreement may need to be updated to take account of any possible future changes in the wider relationship between the parties involved.
1.5 DLUHC has the powers to provide this funding using powers under s1 Infrastructure (Financial Assistance) Act 2012. Leeds City Council can use its powers under s.1 Localism Act 2011 to administer the fund and pay out money.
1.6 DLUHC is responsible for the total funding envelope that has been provided for the fund which totals £27m and the design of the fund. DLUHC is also responsible for the initial funding allocation to each local authority area.
