Representation and Bargaining Unit. The City recognizes the Association as the sole and exclusive representative of all the employees within the Bargaining Unit covered by this agreement for the purpose of collective bargaining with respect to salary schedule, fringe benefits, and any other terms and conditions of employment.

Uniforms will be issued to the Xxxxxx Park Zoo and Police Department employees and the Park Secu- rity Officer as follows: 1 winter coat 1 light jacket 2 hooded sweatshirts 1 heavy sweatshirt 6 pair of work pants 6 work shirts long or short sleeved 4 polo shirts 1 heavy winter coat 1 pair coveralls 1 medium weight jacket 5 pair pants 5 summer shirts

Representation and Bargaining Unit. The City recognizes the Union as the sole and exclusive bargaining agent for all full-time and part-time support staff, excluding supervisors, probationary employees, temporary employees and all other employees of the City. The City agrees not to subcontract out bargaining unit work for permanent replacements. The preceding sentence shall not be construed as prohibiting the hiring of temporary support help to fill temporary absences in the bargaining unit.

The City recognizes the Association as the sole and exclusive bargaining agent for all patrol officers employed by the City’s Police Department, excluding sergeants, lieutenants, commanding officers, Chief of Police, clerical employees, part-time employees and all other employees of the City. The parties agree that the historical pattern of bargaining permits probationary officers to be part of the bargaining unit for wages and insurance purposes only. The parties agree that in all other matters probationary officers are not and have not been included in the bargaining unit. The length of the probationary period shall be 18 months from the initial date of hire.
