WAGES AND INSURANCE. 4.01 A. Wage rates for all employees shall be as set forth in Addendum No. 1 attached hereto and made a part hereof.
WAGES AND INSURANCE. 6.01 Wage rates for all employees in the bargaining unit shall be set forth in Addendum No. 1 attached hereto and made a part thereof. For the 2020-2021 school year, all steps of all classifications shall be increased by 2%, effective July 1, 2020. Effective July 1, 2021, all employees shall receive a base wage increase of $3.00/hour. Effective July 1, 2022, all employees shall receive a base wage increase of $0.50/hour.

5.02 The insurance program for all employees in the bargaining unit shall be as set forth in Addendum No. 2 attached hereto and made a part hereof.
5.03 Every covered employee, covered spouse of an employee and/or covered dependent(s) of an employee, whose group health insurance is terminated for reasons of:
A. Termination of the employee, layoff or reduction in the hours of employment of the employee;
B. Death of the employee;
C. Eligibility of the employee for Medicare;
D. Divorce or separation from the employee; or
E. Change in dependent status (for example, children who attain a certain age under the policy, finish school, marry, etc.); shall be eligible to elect continuation coverage under the group health insurance policy offered to employees, at group rates which represent 102% of the premium cost. Where group coverage terminates by reason of divorce, separation or change in dependent status, the employee, spouse and/or dependent must give notice of such event, in writing to the BOARD, within 60 days of such event. If elected, continuation coverage shall be available at the cost of the employee or dependent(s), for 18 months if coverage is terminated by reason of a termination, layoff or reduction in hours, and 36 months for the other above-stated reasons.
5.04 Continuation coverage elected pursuant to 5.03 above shall terminate if any of the following events occur:
A. Premiums are not paid when due;
B. The person(s) continuing coverage become eligible for Medicare, or covered by another group health insurance policy;
C. The BOARD no longer offers group health insurance coverage to its employees.
5.05 The provisions of §§ 5.03 and 5.04 are to be interpreted and administered in full accord with the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1986 (P.L. 99- 272) as such Act amended the Public Health Service Act.

5.02 Employees will be placed on the pay scale set forth in Addendum No. 1, and thereafter entitled to a 2.0% increase for the 2020-2021 school year. For the 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 school years, the parties shall reopen the contract to negotiate wage increases, to be effective July 1, 2021, and July 1, 2022, respectively.

For the purposes of advancement on the Salary Schedule, an employee hired into a new job classification after July 1, 2009, must begin their initial year of employment in that classification no later than the first day of the second semester to advance to Step Two of the salary schedule the next fiscal year. Salary Step changes will be made only at the beginning of a fiscal year.
B. C. Temporary Summer Jobs – Painters and Grounds: will be posted for MESPA employees to select each spring as needed (See Appendix A Letter of Understanding 9/8/98 re: Temporary Summer Jobs). Job assignments will be based on seniority and previous experience in each position. These positions will be offered first to any laid-off employee at their regular rate of pay. If the laid-off employee refuses the job, then the pay rates below shall be offered: Pay rates to increase equal to amount bargaining for other support personnel.
D. Summer Crew Leader for Custodial staff will be paid a premium of $0.75 more per hour. If the Summer Crew Leader is absent for vacation they will not receive wage premium above. Sick time is to be paid at that rate during the time in which the person is the Summer Crew Leader, provided that sick time does not exceed five (5) consecutive working days. If sick days exceed five (5) consecutive working days, then the employee is paid at their regular rate of pay.

WAGES AND INSURANCE. (A) Effective January 1, 2023, the wage rate for each pay grade covered by this Agreement, and the rate of pay for each City employee in those pay grades, shall be increased by five percent (5.0%). Provided, however, that any employee who is receiving a grade change shall receive no percentage increase in 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, those classifications that are receiving a grade change, and therefore are receiving no 2023 percentage increase, are as follows:

Effective January 1, 2026, the wage rate for each pay grade covered by this Agreement, and the rate of pay for each City employee in those pay grades, shall be increased by three and one-tenth percent (3.1%).
(B) The Pay Plan shall remain in effect as described in the following Exhibits: EXHIBIT A. The Pay Plan, attached. EXHIBIT B. Classes assigned to Pay Grades, attached. EXHIBIT C. Salary Schedule, attached.
(C) Each employee covered under this Agreement who elects to participate in the COB’s group medical insurance plan shall receive the benefit of a monthly contribution from the COB in accordance with the group medical insurance plan provision for City employees. COB shall contribute no less than six thousand three hundred and sixty one ($6,361.00) per year per employee, for the duration of this Agreement. At no time during this Agreement shall a bargaining unit employee be charged a higher employee contribution than the contribution paid by other City employees.
(D) Each employee covered by this Agreement shall receive group Life Insurance in the amount of thirty thousand dollars ($30,000.00) during the term of this agreement. (A) Effective January 1, 2019, the wage rate for each pay grade covered by this Agreement, and the rate of pay for each City employee in those pay grades, shall be increased by two percent (2.0%). Effective January 1, 2020, the wage rate for each pay grade covered by this Agreement, and the Rate of pay for each City employee in those pay grades, shall be increased by two and one-quarter percent (2.25%). Effective January 1, 2021, the wage rate for each pay grade covered by this Agreement, and the rate of pay for each City employee in those pay grades, shall be increased by two and one-half percent (2.5%). Effective January 1, 2022, the wage rate for each pay grade covered by this Agreement, and the rate of pay for each City employee in those pay grades, shall be increased by two and one-half percent (2.5%).

The Employer agrees to compensate this employee an additional $.25 per hour. In the event a Deputy Sheriff assigned to Corrections or Communications performs the duties of a Road Patrol Deputy outside of the jail/office complex with the approval of the Employer, the employee shall be compensated at the rate of pay, at the appropriate step, on the Road Deputy wage scale.
Section 16.2 Each bargaining unit Employee who works second shift, swing shift or third shift will receive an additional twenty-five ($.25) per hour. It is understood that if any Employee works a first shift (a shift were at least 6 of the scheduled hours of work are between the hours of 6:00a.m. and 5:00 p.m.), the shift differential bonus will not be applicable.
Section 16.3 All bargaining unit Employees shall be entitled to the following additional Longevity pay for years of work at the Paulding County Sheriffs Office. This shall be paid on the payroll check immediately following the Employee’s anniversary date as the employee has to be employed on the anniversary date to be eligible to receive payment. Not less the three (3) years or more than ten (10) years $600.00 Not less than eleven (11) years or more than twenty (20) years $750.00 Not less than twenty one (21) years or more than thirty (30) years $900.00 Members shall advance automatically to the next step after the completion of one full calendar year in his or her classification at that step. Members who transfer from one classification to another, shall retain their current rate of pay or the starting rate of pay for that classification, until their years of service in the new classification earns them a pay raise.
