Rest intervals. An employer shall grant to each of his employees a rest interval of not less than 10 minutes as near as practicable to-
(a) the middle of each morning work period; and
(b) the middle of each afternoon work period; during which such employee shall not be required or permitted to perform any work, and such interval shall be deemed to be part of the ordinary hours of work.
Rest intervals. At a time suitable to the Employer two rest intervals of 10 minutes each shall be given to all Employees during each day or rostered shift and shall be counted as time worked.
Rest intervals. Where an electrician works overtime after 12.00 midnight he/she shall be entitled to an 8-hour rest period without loss of pay. Where more than 2 hours overtime is worked a 10 - 15 minutes paid break shall be given.
Rest intervals. (a) Employees not engaged upon a conveyor apparatus: Every employer shall grant to each of his employees a rest interval of not less than:
(i) 15 minutes as near as practicable to the middle of each morning work period;
(ii) 10 minutes as near as practicable to the middle of each afternoon work period; during which such employee shall not be required or permitted to perform any work, and such interval shall be deemed to be part of the ordinary hours of work.
(b) Employees engaged on a conveyor apparatus: Employees engaged on work in conjunction with a conveyor apparatus shall be given suitable rest intervals during working hours, amounting in all to not less than 30 minutes daily. All such rest periods shall be reckoned as part of the employee's working hours but no work whatever shall be performed during such rest intervals by any employee engaged upon this type of operation. Provided that this sub-clause shall not apply to a traveller’s driver, a motor vehicle driver, a watchman or caretaker, or an employee engaged in delivering goods or messages outside the establishment of his employer: Provided further that where three normal shifts are employed daily or a twilight shift of longer than three hours duration is employed in an establishment, such rest intervals need not be granted to a normal or a twilight shift worker, provided he is supplied free of charge with one cup of tea as near as practicable to the middle of each normal or twilight shift, as the case may be, such tea to be taken while at his post.

Rest intervals. 45.1 Employees shall be entitled to one paid ten minute rest interval per four hours worked or part thereof being greater than 1 hour.
45.2 Subject to mutual agreement, where an Employee is entitled to two rest intervals, such rest intervals may alternatively be taken as one 20 minute interval.
45.3 Rest intervals will count as time worked.
Rest intervals. Employees will receive a ten (10) minute rest interval for each four (4) hours worked or part thereof being greater than two (2) hours. The rest intervals shall be at a time suitable to Epworth and shall be counted as time worked. Where Epworth and Employee agree, rest intervals may be taken together or taken immediately prior to the end of shift.
Rest intervals. An Employer shall grant to his Employee, other than a member of the operating staff, a rest interval of not less than 10 minutes as nearly practicable in the middle of each first work period and second work period of the day, and during such interval the Employee shall not be required or permitted to perform any work and such interval shall be deemed to be part of the ordinary hours of work of the Employee. Weekly day off – An Employer shall grant to every Employee at least one full day off during every seven consecutive days. Spread-over – In the case of a member of the operating staff the ordinary hours of work, including the meal interval where applicable, and all overtime, shall on any day be completed within a spread-over of 14 hours. Overtime - Employees working overtime will be compensated at a rate of 1.5 times their normal hourly rate on an ordinary day and double their normal hourly rate on a working day off.
Rest intervals. A regular employee required to work overtime beyond their regularly scheduled shift shall be entitled to eight clear hours off between the end of the overtime and the start of the next regular shift. If it is not possible to provide eight clear hours off between the overtime shift and the employee's next regularly scheduled shift, then the employee shall not be required to report to work until there are eight clear hours between the end of the overtime shift and the beginning of the next regular shift. In such cases, the Employer agrees to pay the employee, at straight-time rates, as if the employee had reported to work for the regularly scheduled shift.
