Road Design. A. The CONSULTANT shall prepare preliminary plans and preliminary opinions of probable construction cost, which shall be in accordance with the accepted standards for such work and in accordance with the following documents in effect at the time the plans or reports are submitted: American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) “A Policy on Geometric Design of Highways and Streets,” INDOT’s Standard Specifications, Road Memoranda, and Design Manuals except as modified by supplemental specifications and special provisions, if any, and shall be completed to the point required to fulfill the requirements for a Design Public Hearing. No further work shall be done on the plans unless and until specifically directed by the LPA. a. The CONSULTANT shall perform hydraulic computations of proposed culvert structures utilizing Hy8 software. b. The CONSULTANT shall perform guardrail length of need calculations utilizing current INDOT approved methodology. Following approval of the preliminary plans, the CONSULTANT shall prepare contract plans, special provisions for the specifications, and final opinion of probable cost for the construction of the project. The opinion of probable cost for construction shall be prepared according to the current practices of INDOT and shall include all items of work required for the complete construction of the work, including all temporary work necessary in connection therewith. The unit prices to be used shall be in accordance with those used by INDOT B. The CONSULTANT shall prepare and submit a Rule 5 Erosion Control Plan to procure appropriate Notice of Intent for construction if required. C. Upon completion and final approval of the work by the LPA, the CONSULTANT shall deliver to the LPA the following. For Final Road Plans: 1. One (1) set of final approved tracings of the contract plans drawn to a suitable scale on standard 24” x 36” sheets prepared with the following process: Ink on approved ink medium for all sheets. 2. One (1) set (original) of all survey field notes (Transit and Level Notes), section plats, and subdivision plats for all surveys the CONSULTANT has performed on the project. The field notes are to be in approved Engineer Field Books. 3. One (1) set of Special Provisions for the Specifications 4. One (1) copy of the opinion of probable construction cost

Road Design. The City accepts the local and private road design, as contained and provided in the Community Plan, as the specifications and standards for road design for parkway, arterial, collector, and local roads within the Project regardless of any future hillside development ordinance that may be adopted by the City, with the exception that certain road designs have been modified from the Development Guidelines and said modifications are as shown in the Community Plan. All roadways according to the City’s Transportation Master Plan are to be constructed to the City’s Standard Technical Specifications and Drawings. All roads in the Project shall conform to the City’s Standard Technical Specifications and Drawings except as otherwise specified in the Community Plan..
Road Design. 1. The CONSULTANT shall assist the Owner in submitting an upcoming Indianapolis MPO Call for Projects funding application for Xxx Xxxxx Road Widening Phase 4 from CR 150S to CR 300S in Avon, Indiana. a. The CONSULTANT shall review available Indianapolis MPO funding guidance documents and application requirements and provide all necessary technical documentation for the application. 2. The CONSULTANT shall prepare Preliminary Plans (10%) and opinions of probable construction cost for Xxx Xxxxx Road Widening Phase 4, which will be in accordance with the accepted standards for such work and in accordance with the following documents in effect at the time the plans or reports are submitted: American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) A Policy on Geometric Design of Highways and Streets and INDOT’s standard specifications, road memoranda, and design manuals, except as modified by supplemental specifications and special provisions, if any. The opinion of probable cost for construction shall be prepared as described in Paragraph G. a. The road design limits are generally described in Item B.2. b. The anticipated project design scope is described below: 1) General road design for widening Xxx Xxxxx Road from a 2-lane minor arterial to a 4 lane roadway (two lanes in each direction) separated by a raised median. 2) Preliminary Plans (10%) shall consist of Title Sheet, Index, Typical Sections, Plan and Profile Sheets, and Cross Sections. 3) A standalone set of preliminary plans shall be created for Xxx Xxxxx Road Widening Phase 4. 4) Preliminary roadway layouts, roadway alignments, and roadway profiles shall be set to establish preliminary construction limits/preliminary right-of-way impacts/preliminary utility impacts. 5) Roadway Typical Section shall include 4-12’ travel lanes, a 17’ raised median, curb and gutter on the outside, a 10’ multi-use path along the east side, and a 6’ sidewalk along the west side. The sidewalk and path will both be separated from the roadway by a 5’ grass buffer strip. 6) Two preliminary concept layouts for Xxx Xxxxx Road alignment modifications at the existing Xxx Xxxxx Road and CR 200S Roundabout will be investigated to determine if southbound fastest path speeds can be reduced.
Road Design. CONSULTANT shall complete tasks necessary for the preparation of construction plans of proposed improvements. CONSULTANT shall use design standards and specifications as required by Allen County’s LPA Design Certification, the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT), American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO), and the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD). CONSULTANT shall develop all roadway plans for the following submissions: • Abbreviated Engineer’s Report • Stage 1 & Preliminary Field CheckStage 3 Each submission will include a cost estimate with unit prices for construction elements associated with the Project. CONSULTANT will design the storm sewer system to utilize the existing roadside ditch system that exists beyond the limits of this project. CONSULTANT will design roadway level lighting in accordance with INDOT requirements for lighting levels, using standard poles & luminaires. Stage 3 will be reviewed by the LPA and revisions will be included in the Bid Documents. CONSULTANT will complete all Erosion Control Plans for the future use to submit an IDEM Construction Stormwater General Permit.

  • Project Design Applicants must design a project that provides access to health services to enable eligible women and men experiencing health needs to secure and maintain safe and accessible quality screening and diagnostic services, comprehensive family planning, and/ or other women’s health services. A. Applicants are encouraged to emphasize the following components in the design of their projects. Projects must: 1. Use a collaborative approach to maximize existing community resources and avoid duplication of effort; 2. Enhance systems and local processes to make it easier for people to transition to, from, and between services; 3. Address barriers to ensure services are accessible to people regardless of setting or location; and 4. Promote improvement and positively impact health and well-being through coordinated service delivery. B. To be effective, services and activities provided or made available as part of the Proposed Project should have policies and procedures in place and include with the application as an attachment that: 1. Delineate the timely provision of services; 2. Deem Client eligibility and service provision as soon as possible and no later than 30 calendar days from initial request; 3. Require staff to assess and prioritize Client needs; 4. Implement with model fidelity to an evidence-based program or based upon best available research; 5. Plan in partnership with the person and are inclusive; 6. Provide in an environment that is most appropriate and based on a person’s preference including reasonable clinic/reception wait times that are not a barrier to care; 7. Provide referral sources for Clients that cannot be served or receive a specific service; 8. Are culturally and linguistically sensitive; 9. Tailor services to a person’s unique strengths and needs; 10. Manage funds to ensure established Clients continuity of care throughout budget year; 11. Continue to provide services to established Clients after allocated funds are expended; 12. Have processes to identify and eliminate possible barriers to care; 13. Do not deny services due to inability to pay; 14. Have appropriate key personnel and required staff to meet the medical and health needs of Clients; 15. Bill services appropriately and timely through TMHP; 16. Effectively communicate and document information related to health care needs with next steps available to Client; 17. Establish outreach and education plan for the community; and 18. Outline successful delivery of direct clinical services to Clients By submitting an Application under this RFA, the Applicant certifies that Applicant has or will have at time of grant award services, policies, or procedures that conform with the requirements in this section as applicable. HHSC, in its sole discretion, may request to review relevant documentation during the project period as necessary to ensure program fidelity.

  • Program Design The County Human Resources Department will operate a Catastrophic Leave Bank which is designed to assist any County employee who has exhausted all paid accruals due to a serious or catastrophic illness, injury, or condition of the employee or family member. The program establishes and maintains a Countywide bank wherein any employee who wishes to contribute may authorize that a portion of his/her accrued vacation, compensatory time, holiday compensatory time or floating holiday be deducted from those account(s) and credited to the Catastrophic Leave Bank. Employees may donate hours either to a specific eligible employee or to the bank. Upon approval, credits from the Catastrophic Leave Bank may be transferred to a requesting employee's sick leave account so that employee may remain in paid status for a longer period of time, thus partially ameliorating the financial impact of the illness, injury, or condition. Catastrophic illness or injury is defined as a critical medical condition, a long-term major physical impairment or disability which manifests itself during employment.

  • Study Design This includes a discussion of the evaluation design employed including research questions and hypotheses; type of study design; impacted populations and stakeholders; data sources; and data collection; analysis techniques, including controls or adjustments for differences in comparison groups, controls for other interventions in the State and any sensitivity analyses, and limitations of the study.

  • Final Design Provide OWNER with proposed final construction drawings and detailed opinions of probable total Project construction costs in writing for OWNER' s review, prior to completion of the final Contract Documents, so that any changes that may be necessary in accordance with Project' s budgetary schedule can be made prior to bid.

  • Plan Design The flexible benefits plan is a cafeteria-style benefits program wherein the County makes a contribution toward the Flexible Benefits Plan for each eligible employee to be allocated during the employee's active employment. The County contribution is distributed by the employee among the menu of benefit options listed below, the specific details and administration of which are set forth in the plan brochures: • Health insurance • County basic life and AD&D insurance • Dental insurance • Vision insurance • Supplemental life insurance • Supplemental accidental death and dismemberment insurance (AD&D) • Flexible spending accounts for pre-tax reimbursement of qualified medical and/or dependent day care expenses.   • Schematic Design Documents In accordance with the approved Preliminary Design and Construction Schedule and based upon approval of and comments made by the Owner regarding the Concept Design Studies, the Design Professional shall prepare and submit to the Owner Schematic Design Documents, including drawings and outline specifications. These documents shall represent a further development of the approved design concept, providing additional detail and specificity regarding the intended design solution. Typically, all such documents shall be drawn to scale, indicating materials and assemblies, as appropriate, to convey the design intent and to illustrate the Project’s basic elements, scale and relationship to the Site. All major pieces of furniture and equipment to be fixed or supplied by the CM/GC shall be illustrated to scale. (See ASTM Standard Practice E 1804-02, August 2007, Sections 6.3, 8.2 and 8.3 for guidance on information which is generally developed in Schematic Design.)

  • Schematic Design Phase 1.2.1 Based on the mutually agreed upon Program of Requirements, Amount Available for the Construction Contract and the Project Schedule, the Architect/Engineer shall prepare sufficient alternative approaches utilizing BIM for design and construction of the Project to satisfy Owner’s project requirements and shall, at completion of this phase, submit Schematic Design Documents derived from the model in accordance with the BIM Execution Plan, “Facility Design Guidelines” and any additional requirements set forth in Article 15. The Architect/Engineer shall review alternative approaches to design and construction for the Project as they are being modeled at intervals appropriate to the progress of the Project with the Owner and Construction Manager at the Project site or other location specified by the Owner within the State of Texas. The Architect/Engineer shall utilize the model(s) to support the review process during Schematic Design. The Architect/Engineer shall provide the Construction Manager with a compact disc containing documents and data files derived from the model to assist the Construction Manager in fulfilling its responsibilities to the Owner. 1.2.2 Architect/Engineer shall provide all services necessary to perform the services of this phase (preparation of model(s), relevant data, decision support model views and Schematic Design Documents) including, without limitation, unless otherwise approved by Owner, the preparation and prompt delivery of all items specified in the BIM Execution Plan and “Facility Design Guidelines”. 1.2.3 Architect/Engineer shall work closely with Owner in preparation of schematic drawings and shall specifically conform to Owner’s requirements regarding aesthetic design issues. 1.2.4 The Architect/Engineer shall review the Estimated Construction Cost prepared by the Construction Manager, and shall provide written comments. 1.2.5 Before proceeding into the Design Development Phase, the Architect/Engineer shall obtain Owner’s written acceptance of the Schematic Design documents and approval of the Architect/Engineer’s preliminary Estimated Construction Cost and schedule. 1.2.6 The Architect/Engineer shall participate in a final review of the Schematic Design Documents and model(s) with the Owner and Construction Manager at the Project site or other location specified by Owner in the State of Texas. Prior to the Owner’s approval of the Schematic Design Documents, the Architect/Engineer shall incorporate such changes as are necessary to satisfy the Owner’s review comments, any of which may be appealed for good cause.

  • Preliminary Design § 4.3.1 Upon the Owner’s issuance of a written consent to proceed under Section 4.2.3, the Design-Builder shall prepare and submit a Preliminary Design to the Owner. The Preliminary Design shall include a report identifying any deviations from the Owner’s Criteria, and shall include the following: .1 Confirmation of the allocations of program functions; .2 Site plan; .3 Building plans, sections and elevations;
