SAFEGUARDING AND CHILD PROTECTION a. Hirers providing services to children must have policies and procedures in place to ensure children’s safety and any Risk Assessments and DBS certificates required by the Hirer must be supplied to the School upon request.
b. At an event where the number of children is likely to exceed 100, the Hirer must ensure that a sufficient number of adults are stationed to prevent more children being admitted, to control the movement of the children and to take all reasonable precautions for the safety of the children as required by the Children’s and Young Person’s Xxx 0000.

I understand that the Keeping Children Safe in Education 2016 duty places a requirement on all staff to follow specific child protection procedures should any concerns be made and that there is a Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy available for me to view at any time on the website. If we have any concerns for your child’s welfare we will raise these issues with you and /or follow our child protection policy Sometimes things go wrong despite our best efforts or you may have a suggestion. In either case please contact our Nursery Manager, Xxx Xxxxxx and she will be happy to try to resolve your concern. We have a complaints policy which can be viewed on the website.

The HSCB will continue to have a key role and remit in scrutinising the development and delivery of safeguarding services for children and young people and the evaluation of the efficiency and effectiveness of early help. There will be an active dialogue between the HSCB and the Children’s and Young People’s Partnership on strategic service developments, the delivery of quality interventions and supports and the evidenced outcomes from statutory intervention.

The Provider must ensure all staff have an awareness of the possibility of abuse, the possible signs and symptoms of abuse to both adults and children, and know their responsibilities to respond to and report allegations of abuse or harm appropriately. The Provider must ensure staff have access to an up-to-date version of the Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Safeguarding Adults Multi Agency Policy and Procedures for safeguarding adults and separate children’s policy and that staff / managers are clear about the process of reporting any concerns about suspected abuse. The provider must include the safeguarding of adults and children in induction and training at a level appropriate to staff members’ roles in the Safeguarding Children process of alerting in the case of suspicion of abuse. The provider must ensure that staff understand and know the requirements to make accurate, factual records at the time of concern and to date and sign all written records / entries.

SAFEGUARDING AND CHILD PROTECTION. 4.1 If the activity includes participation or officiating by anyone under the age of 18 then the Hirer specifically undertakes to ensure that all of its staff and volunteers, providing or offering a service on behalf of the Hirer, are subject to a valid enhanced disclosure check. This must be undertaken through the Disclosure and Barring Service including a check against the adults' barred list or the children's barred list, as appropriate and will form part of your hire agreement.
4.2 DBS certificates must be uploaded as a document at time of booking and prior to the first booking taking place.
4.3 The Venue specifically reserve the right to terminate this agreement with immediate effect if the Hirer does not have in force the appropriate arrangements with regards to the safeguarding of children in their care.
4.4 Hirers must have and provide if requested copies of first aid training. Public liability insurance and any other insurance that the Venue reasonably considers necessary must be uploaded at time of booking.
4.5 All organisations that involve children under the age of 18 years must have a child Protection/safeguarding policy in place. A copy of this policy/document must be uploaded at time of booking.
