Salary Committee. The Salary Committee will be convened at the direction of the negotiations team. Reports will be completed on the standardized form referenced in Article V of this contract. The Committee will adhere to the guidelines in Article V, Section C. Reports will be due as determined by the negotiations team. The GEA agrees to participate in a Joint Study Group with the charge of reviewing and recommending revisions to the salary schedule. (Amended 2004)

Salary Committee. The Committee shall consist of seven full-time members of the Faculty (as defined under Article I.): three members of the current Promotion and Tenure Committee and three members elected annually at large, and the Department Chair chairs the Committee with a vote. Whenever possible, members of the Committee shall not succeed themselves in consecutive years. The Committee’s term of service shall begin in or about the month of March and continue through the end of the following February. The Committee operates in accordance with the pertinent provisions of the current WSU-AAUP agreement. ASOs and Academic Advisors shall not vote in the election of this committee.
Salary Committee. A Salary Committee shall be formed. Members of the Salary Committee shall be appointed each year by September 1. The membership shall consist of two (2) persons appointed by the President and two (2) members appointed by the Union. The Salary Committee shall meet to formulate Faculty salary recommendations, encompassing both rate and structure for both regular and overload compensation, to be submitted to the President by the last business day of the Spring Semester. The President shall forward and give an oral report on these recommendations to the appropriate Board Subcommittee before the November regular meeting of the Board of Regents. The Board of Regents will consider these Salary Committee recommendations for the budget of the following fiscal year. These recommendations shall take into consideration recent changes in the cost-of-living index, the compatibility of University of Guam salaries with those of similar institutions and the University of Guam’s financial conditions.
Salary Committee. Other Committees and Representations Two Salary Committee members of each building will represent the Salary Committee at Job Classification Committee Meetings, those representatives to be decided upon by each respective building’s committee. When a new position title is initiated, the City will communicate that information to the CWA, and a discussion will be conducted to determine if that title falls under the jurisdiction of the CWA. After that determination is made, if the title does belong in the CWA, the City will negotiate the grade level of the new position title with the CWA.

This Salary Committee will be convened in order to negotiate the grade level whenever a new position title is initiated. When a new position title is initiated, the City will communicate that information to the CWA, and a discussion will be conducted to determine if that title falls under the jurisdiction of the CWA. After that determination is made, if the title does belong in the CWA, the City will negotiate the grade level of the new position title with the CWA. 3. The City of Ocean City acknowledges its obligation under New Jersey statutes and case law interpreting these statutes that it has an on-going obligation to provide CWA Local 1078 with information it needs to enable the Union to meet its statutory duties and responsibilities as bargaining representative. The City agrees to respond to information requests from the Union, which shall be in writing, within two (2) weeks of the request unless such time is extended by mutual agreement. Should the City reasonably believe that the Union is not entitled to the requested information, it shall provide a written statement specifying with particularity the reason or reasons the Union is not entitled to the information. This statement shall be sent to the President of CWA Local 1078 and to the CWA Staff Representative by delivery-confirmable means within two (2) weeks of the initial request. If the parties cannot agree on the information to be provided, either party may request the assistance of PERC to resolve the matter. 4. The City shall not unilaterally remove a Local 1078 member from the negotiating unit, nor shall the City cease deducting dues and remitting same as called for in the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Salary Committee i. Upon ratification of the contract, the parties will form a committee to discuss the balanced schedule. The committee will be made up of no more than five (5) members from the Association and five (5) members from the District. Each party will choose who will be their representatives on the committee. ii. Since this issue will ultimately come to the bargaining table, the District respectfully proposes that no more than two (2) members of each bargaining team be part of the committee. If the parties are unable to find others to be part of the committee, more members of the bargaining teams may need to be part of the process. iii. Sections 17.8, 18.1 and 18.1.1. or any other section related to salary that may need to be modified based a on a restructured Schedule A for 2021-2022 as agreed upon between the parties and if the revised Schedule A contradicts existing Sections as above.
