Extension courses: salary guide credit for graduate courses will be granted only if the institution conducting the course is approved by an accrediting association (Middle States Association, New England Association, etc.). 3. Doctoral degrees: salary guide credit for doctoral degrees will be granted only if the institution granting the degree is accredited by a regional accrediting association (e.g. Middle States Association, New England Association, etc.). Approval by a state educational authority alone will not suffice in this case. 4. In-service courses: salary guide credit will be granted only with prior approval of the Superintendent for "in-service" courses offered by non-degree granting groups and/or institutions outside the Edison school system. Courses sponsored by the Board will carry salary guide credit as indicated in the announcement of such courses. 5. As of July 1, 2002, anyone currently employed as a school psychologist or hired as a school psychologist, will receive salary guide credit for the 6th level due to the extra course work required for certification. Guidelines for degree differentials are contained in Article XXXI, E, 1 & 2.

Personnel claiming credit for experience in other related situations, or military service will be required to produce proof of the validity of such claims, and no salary credit is to be given in the absence of such validity. Credit for military service shall be equal to the time served, but not for more than four (4) years. Salary Guide Credit. Advanced training beyond a Bachelor's degree is based upon hours of training approved by the Superintendent, and needs to be graduate work. After a degree is granted, no increase will be allowed for that work in excess of that required for a Bachelor's degree when such work is taken prior to the granting of the degree unless such work is recognized by the granting institution as applicable to the Master's degree and said work has been applied toward the Master's degree. In accordance with Salary Schedules in Appendix A of this agreement, salary increases for advanced work will be granted when courses have been approved in advance by the Superintendent. Only coursework recognized by the Illinois State Board of Education as eligible to be applied toward State certification will be approved. Teachers coming into the District will be given credit for prior teaching experience in accordance with provisions of state minimum salary law. Additional compensation in the amount of $1,500.00 will be granted at the beginning of the 19th, 23rd, 27th and 31st consecutive years of service in District No. 13.

  • Salary/Wages Grantee shall list personnel involved, position classification, direct salary rates, and hours spent on the Project in accordance with Attachment 3, Grant Work Plan in their documentation for reimbursement or match requirements.

  • Change in Credit and Collection Policy At least thirty (30) days prior to the effectiveness of any material change in or material amendment to the Credit and Collection Policy, a copy of the Credit and Collection Policy then in effect and a notice (A) indicating such change or amendment, and (B) if such proposed change or amendment would be reasonably likely to adversely affect the collectibility of the Receivables or decrease the credit quality of any newly created Receivables, requesting the Agent's consent thereto.

  • Uniform Allowance ‌ If the Employer requires an employee to supply and/or maintain specified clothing in place of a uniform which would otherwise be supplied and maintained for jobs involving the direct care of patients/residents, then a clothing/maintenance allowance of ten dollars ($10.00) per bi-weekly pay period shall be paid. This allowance does not apply to non-patient/non-resident areas.

  • Deferred Salary Leave Plan (1) The deferred salary leave plan enables Employees to take one (1) year of leave from the Public Service and to finance this leave through a deferral of Salary in previous years. (2) Under this plan, participating Employees agree to defer a portion of their Salary for four (4) consecutive Academic Years and the Employer agrees to grant the Employee leave in the fifth year, and to use the amounts deferred in the previous four (4) years to pay the Employee's Salary during the period of the leave. Participation in the plan is subject to operational requirements. (3) During the period of leave, Employees may engage in whatever activities they wish. (4) The individual plan for each participating Employee is a six (6) Academic Year period consisting of the following: (a) The first four consecutive years during which the Employee draws 80% of Salary earned in each of the four years and defers the remaining 20%; (b) The fifth consecutive year in which the Employee takes the leave, and is paid from the amounts deferred above plus any interest earned on the deferred funds; and (c) The sixth consecutive year in which the Employee returns to employment with the Public Service of Nunavut for a minimum of one year. (5) There is no maximum number of Employees allowed to enter the plan. (6) Executive Directors ensure that approved leaves do not impair the future operation of their School Operations. (7) Employees make written application to their Executive Director. Applications should state the proposed start of the Salary deferral and the proposed period of leave. (8) The Executive Director reviews the application and the requirements of the School Operations and notifies the Employee and the respective Department of Finance, Pay and Benefits Officer at least six (6) weeks prior to the start of Salary Deferral. (9) Each participant will sign an agreement covering the details of the plan. (10) In each year of the plan preceding the period of the leave, the Employee will be paid 80% of the applicable Salary. The remaining 20% of Salary will be deferred and this amount will be retained in trust by the Employer to finance payments during the period of leave. (11) The deferred Salary will be placed in a trust fund by the Government and any returns on the investment of the trust will be used to pay the participant during the period of leave. (a) The money held in trust will be pooled with other Government funds and the Employee will be credited with the average rate of return on those funds. (b) Investments will be restricted to those eligible under Section 57(1) of the Financial Administration Act. (c) A statement of the individual's account will be provided at each anniversary of the plan. (12) During the period of leave, the participant shall receive, if on a one (1) year leave, one twenty-sixth (1/26) of the amount deferred plus any trust fund returns in each pay period, less applicable deductions. No additional payments to the participant can be made such as loans, subsidies, Allowances or Salary. (13) Income tax will be deducted in accordance with the provisions of the Income Tax Act and its Regulations. (14) During the first four (4) years of the plan, the Employer shall provide Employee benefits at a level equivalent to 100% of Salary. Benefits and premium recoveries for the period of leave will be governed by the rules for leave without pay. All benefits cease except Health Care Plan, superannuation, supplementary death benefit, disability insurance, and dental coverage. Premiums for these plans are payable by the Employee. Arrangements can be made to have deductions from pay for some of these benefits. (15) Upon return from leave, the Department will place the Employee in the position held at the commencement of the leave. (16) Returning Employees will have their qualifications re-assessed and placed on the appropriate pay scale. (17) The Employer shall cancel participation in the plan and shall refund, within 60 days, the total of the deferred Salary plus earnings from the plan if the Employee dies or employment is otherwise terminated. (18) Where operational requirements would not be met if the Employee proceeded on leave in the fifth year, or where exceptional changes in personal circumstances make the leave unfeasible, the Employer will give the Employee the choice of the following: (a) withdrawing from the plan and taking a refund of the total in the deferred salary account; or (b) deferring the period of leave to either the sixth or the seventh academic consecutive year or to some other mutually agreeable time. (19) Upon withdrawal from the plan the total in the account will be repaid to the Employee within 60 days from the notification of withdrawal.

  • Vacation Leave Accrual Rate Schedule Full Years of Service Hours Per Year

  • Salary Protection A regular employee who fills a regular vacancy or displaces a regular employee at a lower classification shall receive salary protection in accordance with Article 27.7.

  • Vacation Credit Any outstanding vacation entitlement for a person going on LTD will be paid in cash upon expiry of sick leave. The cash payment will be calculated on the base earnings at the expiration of sick leave for the prorated days of vacation entitlement, any outstanding lieu days, any outstanding floating statutory holidays, and banked time for 40-hour per week employees. No vacation entitlement, floating holidays, or banked time for 40-hour per week employees accrues while a member is in receipt of LTD benefits.

  • Placement on Salary Schedule The following rules shall be applicable in determining placement of a teacher on the appropriate salary schedule.

  • Retirement Credit Retirement credit for such periods of leave without pay shall be governed by the rules and regulations of the Division of Retirement and the provisions of Chapter 121, Florida Statutes.

  • Vacation Allowance Employees in permanent positions are entitled to vacation with pay. Accrual is based upon straight time hours of working time per calendar month of service and begins on the date of appointment to a permanent position. Increased accruals begin on the first of the month following the month in which the employee qualifies. Accrual for portions of a month shall be in minimum amounts of one (1) hour calculated on the same basis as for partial month compensation pursuant to Section 5.6 of this MOU. Vacation credits may be taken in one (1) minute increments but may not be taken during the first six (6) months of employment (not necessarily synonymous with probationary status) except where sick leave has been exhausted; and none shall be allowed in excess of actual accrual at the time vacation is taken.
