SALARY GUIDE PLACEMENT. Salary Guide I placement is for Special Education Instructors. Salary Guide II placement is for all other Unit A employees. All longevity payments shall be made in a lump sum payment the first pay period in December.
SALARY GUIDE PLACEMENT. Initial discussions as to credit on guide for experience shall be between the applicant and the Superintendent. Upon the determination of what years of credit will be recognized, the new employee shall be placed on the salary guide at a position which matches where a Washington Township teacher would be placed with similar experience credit. For difficult to fill positions (determined by lack of applicants), placement level of new employees shall be at the discretion of the superintendent and board.
SALARY GUIDE PLACEMENT. Any administrator who, through movement on the guide, was on Steps 1-5, as of July 1, 2008, shall be placed on Guide A.
SALARY GUIDE PLACEMENT. 1. School nurses shall be paid a salary from the salary scale for teachers based upon degree status, years of experience as a nurse, and as may otherwise be determined at the discretion of the District in order to fill vacant nursing positions.
2. Teachers shall be compensated in the following manner: Initial placement on the salary guide shall be at the discretion of the Superintendent. Consideration shall be given for prior teaching experience and/or curriculum related experience. Thereafter, teachers who have completed at least ninety-three (93) days of service during the school year and whose performance is satisfactory shall be advanced a step.

Guide placement for certificated professional employees beginning after July 1st, 2004 will be determined by the number of years of public teaching experience levels and/or practical, clinical or professional experience (e.g. nurse, social worker, psychologist, LDTC, speech/language specialist, secretary), not to exceed actual year(s) of experience. A maximum of one (1) year will be credited for professional employees that were certified during non-public school teaching experience. Placement on the guide will reflect actual year(s) of experience. Step Placement will not exceed the equivalent of current staff experience.

SALARY GUIDE PLACEMENT. Placement on the salary guide at each degree and/or credit level shall be based on the credits attained as awarded by the college or university in question, provided that the college or university is recognized by the New Jersey Department of Education for purposes of teacher certification and subject to approval by the Board. Placement on salary guide differential levels shall be determined subject to the following conditions:

SALARY GUIDE PLACEMENT. 1. School nurses shall be paid a salary based upon the salary scale for teachers with Bachelor’s degrees.
2. Teachers shall be compensated in the following manner: Initial placement on the salary guide shall be at the discretion of the Superintendent. Consideration shall be given for prior teaching experience and/or curriculum related experience. Thereafter, teachers who have completed at least ninety-three (93) days of service during the school year and whose performance is satisfactory shall be advanced a step. Teachers shall be paid bi-weekly every other Thursday, provided, however, that a teacher’s final check shall be paid on the last contract day. Each teacher shall have the option of salary payments pro-rated on the basis of 22 or 26 pay periods. At the time the teacher accepts an offer of employment, the teacher must elect which option that teacher desires and that option shall remain in effect for the entire year. If a teacher fails to make an election, 26 pay periods will be assumed. When a teacher leaves or enters the District during the school year, the salary due that teacher will be pro-rated based upon the number of contract days versus the number of days in that teacher’s contract.
SALARY GUIDE PLACEMENT. 1. A teacher, upon initial employment, shall enter into an agreement with the Board of Education on the number of years of credit the teacher shall be granted for: Previous teaching experience, trade or business experience, military service in accordance with statutory requirements, and other considerations.
2. Once credit has been agreed upon, the teacher shall be placed on the then current salary guide on the step reflecting the credit level agreed upon between the Board and the new teacher.
3. Subsequent movement on the salary guide shall be made in accordance with the terms of the Association/Board Agreement.
SALARY GUIDE PLACEMENT. An employee hired after February 1st of any school year will remain on the same salary step and will not receive full credit toward the next increment step for the following year.
SALARY GUIDE PLACEMENT. Each administrator shall be placed on his proper step of the salary guide as of the beginning of the new school year.
